Got a text from Ron last night,

Bad News, yesterday was day 4 without power.

Good News, They leave for Disney tomorrow morning.

Dave posted over in the Pub, that things haven't changed for him. He and the girls are still living in a motel. The roofer is scheduled to show up today.

Thanks for the updates Randall.

Prayers and luck passed along to both as they recover from the storm. Ron have a great trip. Hopefully you can forget about the power for a while and just have some fun. Good luck with the roofer. Hope he can work quickly and get you back into your home.

That is bad about the power. But I would be stressed about leaving the house with no power. All them electronics powering back up. I maybe would turn all the breakers off except the ones for the refrigerators and heater/ac and preset the heater/ac to being away settings.

My prayers to ones effected by Sandy. I was relieved to see it pass like it did both here and my family in VA. But now sad others had to see the effects from it.

Hooray for Friday's! I've got a mix of good and bad.

The bad news is that I'm dealing with what I hope is a minor foot injury that will not set my training for the half marathon off course too far.

The good is that DD6's 1st grader teacher told us last night how bright she is (not that we didn't already knwow this) and got her first report card - a mix of all A and A+'s! :cool1: She reads very well for her age so the teacher is going to try and find some more difficult books for her to read and challenge her a bit.

Good Luck with the foot. Hope it heals quickly. Awesome grades for DD. You must be a proud dad today! Ms DS was accelerated all the way through and is 7th now. She may be able to start the Kingdom Keepers series. DD read them in 2nd and 3rd and found them a little confusing at first, but did well.

I wish so bad I could find the Tag Fairy... May just have to hire a bounty hunter to find them!?!?!?!?

Yup, haven't seen them lately, but if anyone deserves a some pixie dust you are my choice. Get better quickly!pixiedust:

First time on the net since Sandy rolled through. We did pretty well, just lost the cap off a roof vent so i was up there at 430 am on Tuesday with plastic sheeting and duct tape. Wife now knows for sure what she suspected for 34 years. I am a touch crazy. Living off of generator, woodstove and gas grill but that's far better than lots of folks. Next Disney trip starts 28 Nov so that will help us unwind. Rethinking my plans to retire to central florida. Hurricanes suck very much big time.

Thanks, that is very kind of you to say. I am sitting in another doc office waiting on another appointment. Geeeeeeeeeeeessssseee

I don't have any believe it or not. Now the lil one has about 30 also has a light up purple 6" one. I am considering doing some macro work. Trying to pick up a decent macro ring light for that.

I cant wait to get back to work though. That I don't have a definite date yet. It is based on when I start feeling better and when I do thats when I submit my repair bill, time out from work and pain and suffering to the lawyer and let them work on it.

Ohh and I may have forgotten to post this, but the guy that hit me was actually doing 75-80 when he hit the police came up with that in their investigation also they found out that he was texting at the same time due to them contacting the guys cell provider. When I found out that is when I hired a lawyer.
The lawyer sounds like a good decision. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get them to reimburse you for everything.

Could you wear them around your neck?
:lmao::rotfl2: Now that would be a good picture.

Congratulations on your daughters good report card. I hope your foot heels quickly.

Really well, thanks. They made me a pretty good offer, and I'm planning on accepting. Just have to bring myself to give notice here, which after 6 years is tougher than I thought it would be...

More beans to count beans, how can that be bad? Good Luck! :thumbsup2 <--- yeah, it's a thumb

Have great trips Tim, Randall and Ron. Tim if you act as a fastpass runner all day, that's almost like a training run.

Great trip guys. Good idea Tim but you better not overdo it and save up for the 5K.

Glad they are OK. Tell Ron we all want him to have a great time at the World. Will stop in at the Pub to say hi to Dave.

Congrats to DD. Better get that college fund ready. Hope the foot gets better.

I fixed your typo...

But seriously, I'm glad you're doing ok and didn't get blown off the roof when you were trying to patch the vent. I hope they get you hooked back onto the grid soon.

"You surprised to see us, CJ?

"Oh, Norm... If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am now."
