Woohoo!

I took a page out of Barry's book and made tonight 50's Prime time night for dinner. Made the Meatloaf from the cook book and we ate dinner while watching a DVD of the Mickey Mouse Club. GOOD TIMES!:thumbsup2

Matt
Following any of Barry's advice can be harmful to your health and should never be attempted unless under trained supervision.

Sorry, my lawyer makes me say that.

First off… a Happy Birthday to Barry.
(I wonder just what kind of mayhem he’ll be causing this day).
Surprisingly, none. Got two naps in with DS, though :thumbsup2 Thanks Rob!

I would ask what Barry's handicap is, but it's clearly that he limps.
I wonder if getting rolled over by a golf cart will improve my game? He hit me right after the 18th green, so I may never find out.

Hey guys, we made it back from my Mother's 65th surprise party. Things went well and the family all made it through without any major conflicts. Well atleast none that I know of but I did have quite a few Corona throughout the afternoon and evening.

Anything exciting going on in here?
Wow, surprising a 65 year old. Scary move there. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Barry!
Thanks Brent!

Hey guys!

Happy Birthday Barry!
Thanks Paul!

Happy B-Day Barry!!!

One day older than me...

Oh yeah... check out the new rotating ticker.
Same to you Nate! :cheer2::cheer2:

Happy Birthday to my younger DD Gwendolyn who turned 2 today. We celebrated by going to the American Girl and Disney stores in Chicago and then a nice afternoon lunch with friends who live downtown. All in all a very nice Labor Day (especially since I didn't end up locked in at work).

Happy Birthday to Barry, too!
Thanks Justin, and Happy Birthday to your Gwendolyn too!

and the trek back to Wisconsin/South Korea to do. I just have trouble finding time...
Sounds like you have trouble finding a map, too. :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Barry someone told me it was your birthday as well, Happy Birthday Man!!
Yeah, kind of hard to keep a secret around here. Thanks Darcy!

Happy birthday cheesehead
That means a lot coming from you, Sean. Thanks.

:bday: Barry & Gwendolyn
Thanks Ron!

Anyone else put a kindergartener on the bus for the first time today? Stupid allergies were acting up again just like two years ago.
We dropped ours off at school. DW and I were a bit emotional, but not as much as when we did our oldest 2 years ago. On the walk back to the car, she commented that in 5 years when the baby goes off to Kindergarten, we'll probably just wish him luck and have his brother take him. :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, and sorry if I missed your b-day wishes. Combing though 20 pages, sometimes things fall through the cracks!

I follow @studioscentral on twitter and he had a story on it and I think wdwinfo.com has a story too, think it said till nov 17 along with the refurb mid sept, so they r saying 2 refurbs for honey I shrunk

Yeah I see 2 one in October which looks like 2-5 days the other I saw was this one: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure in Disney's Hollywood Studios will be closed for refurbishment September 10-14, 2012

Afternoon All.

I decided today was the day to start running again. I did 5K over lunch in 41 minutes, not as fast as when I raced but that was 25 years ago. The goal is to go every second day for now and see how I make out.

Awesome! Good luck keeping at it! :thumbsup2

Things that fall through the cracks around this place should stay there. ;)

Been about 5 years for me... But I remember it like it were yesterday.

Little Miss (Mr.) Independant. Very moving experience... I followed the bus to school everyday for the first week, to make sure they made it safely to the school yard.

Congrats on having a big kid now... :)

Rough job, but someone has to do it.

I am sure you have a lot of good pics ready and waiting..

I was a bit confused when we got to the school, this was our first "first day of school" at this school so were unfamiliar to the processes they do. All the parents and kids were milling about the school yard (it's at the rear of the school). I took the girls around front to take Amelia to the before-school program, but it was closed, so we went back to the yard and found the program director amoungst the mob. She told us all is good, they line all the kids up by class. I left Amelia with her friends and took Audrey up to the kindergarden gate andshe went in to lin up with her fellow JK class. We lucked out big time, the early childhhood educator who is assigned to assit Audrey's teacher knew Audrey, and looked after her in the infant room at the daycare she went to, so knows her habits and tendancies, so this is good, for all parties involved. Left her there since we couldn't wait with her, and checked on Amelia, chatting with the before/afterschool director, and she then hooked up with her friends, and I guided them to their class line. The principal then pulled out some bagpipes (!) and started playing marching around to the front of the school, with the lines of classes following behind. So they wrre piped into the school. Really neat way to start school, I continue to be amazed with this principal. Good timing too, halfway home, the heavens opened up, drenching me.:rolleyes2

All I could think on the way home: "Well, they're the school's problem now!" :rotfl2:

Audrey only had a half day as they stagger the Kindergarden class, so I've got her here now. Tomorrow is back to full days again.

Another tear jerking moment...

Just means we are getting older... ;)

I am possibly alittle bummed about great movie ride and honey I shrunk playground being refurbed, one site says nov 1st start time, which would be great, the other says oct 8th, which of course is the day before we are at DHS , I'm hoping of course for the nov date cuz would love to see DD play on it like I did as a kid

I wish Great Movie Ride would get a total overhaul!

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: That about sums it up. We compensate for the lack of attention given to the youngest by showering them with gifts and spoiling them rotten. :thumbsup2

Oh, and sorry if I missed your b-day wishes. Combing though 20 pages, sometimes things fall through the cracks!

Um...yeah, you must have missed mine. That's it. So, uh, Happy Birthday! :thumbsup2

Thanks, DW started running earlier in the summer so that should keep me motivated.

That didn't work on me. :rotfl2:

I wish Great Movie Ride would get a total overhaul!

I agree. Total snoozefest. The best part is it's air-conditioned.

::yes::

In fact, I think our exact words on departing were, "Well, at least it was air-conditioned."

I wish Great Movie Ride would get a total overhaul!

Yes....an overhaul....

There's some guys on here that I have contact with via Disboards.com, disdads.com, Facebook, email, text message, Fantasy Football Sites...its hard to keep track, so you get one birthday wish from me in one medium or another.

Except the Canadians. I'll send one by smoke signal too, because I don't know how fast the Internet gets to them.

Happy birthday to Megan and Barry.

Barry, You will be happy to know I was not able to draft Erin Rodgers so he is safe from my curse. My apologies to Cowboy and Patriot fans.

The kids are supposed to be picking up. DD is walking around with a magic wand saying "Abracadabra."

I did almost 0 prep for this year's draft. I set a list of guys I wanted to draft in the first round, but the entire draft was while I was on vacation, so I set it to autodraft. I did end up with Aaron in round 1, but on the few chances I got to check the rest of the draft I was like "who the heck did I just draft?":confused3

If it works, I'll send you my address and money for bus fare.

Aah the memories. Lots of tears when the Pirate Princess was dropped of at Pre-K. Of course they were from her mother and myself. She was like, "See ya. I'm going to school now." Less tears as time went by until by the time I dropped her off at Seton Hall, it was, "See ya." "Yea, see ya. Study hard and call me later."
