Man, those new guys sure like to talk, don't they?

Fresh off of Tuesday's typhoon, looks like we're gonna get hit with another one later today and into tomorrow. This one isn't nearly as big at the last one, but it'll be hitting the same parts of the country.

Not too much else going on around here. I'm having trouble finding time to make more YouTube videos. Working on the script of the next one during my free time, but between work and my private lessons, I don't have much of that...

Thanks, David! A lot of people have been doing a lot of praying, that's for sure! On top of the neuropathy, she came down with a bad case of Lyme Disease from a tick. She was on an antibiotic IV for a month and is doing a lot better.

Can you believe she came down with Lyme meningitis on top of the neuropathy?! Apparently, the stuff settled in her spinal cord right in the area of the ependymoma. 28 days of antibiotic seems to have taken care of it. I had to give her the injections for 3 1/2 weeks! You would have been proud of me!

That's horrible! Great job with the shots, though. Second career for you?

It was feeling better and Chris and Steve were right in their FB diagnosis. But, it was worth the co-pay peace of mind to know I can start using it again. I've sprained ankles before, but never 12 weeks to recover. Of course, I have not had this much weight before, either.

its just tammy and i going so im guessing by the third night i will be on the pull out anyway.

With that king size bed? I take up a lot of space and wasn't anywhere close to DW. It was great. I've thought about buying one for home.

Sorry for not multi quoting this the short trip to Epcot was from my best friend ran the half marathon in jan and we made a weekend out of it , did Epcot and universal/ IOA, it was fun. Those runners are serious big time about running, hope to do one at some point as well

If I had known about the ToT 10miler before and also quit smoking way before now and trained I would of loved to do that one, I hope they do them every year

So, which one are we running? And, when is my last chance, back out date?

Got back home a little bit ago. 1300+ miles each way. House is OK, just some small branches on the ground. Opened up some of the shutters, will do the rest later.

You guys were chatty these last couple of days. Browsed through and hear most of the posts are centered around farting and nemesis talk.

For the record:

DD no longer gets a thrill out of farting in public or in the house. She still will let out a mean burp once in a while.

Don't have a nemesis and not really interested in getting one. That way I can equally be a smart a$$ to all of you. Closest I guess is being Barry's second in the Barry/Tim fight.

Back from Tree-Go. I am pretty proud of DS, he outdid me by completing 3 courses to my 1. I was ok with anything that moved up or down or side to side but the stuff that moved up, down and side to side was a bit much. I was a bit disappointed though that I didn't do the second course. I started with one of the above but after that it was all ziplines and swinging bridges.

I did see them kick on guy off because he kept undoing both of his safety lines at the same time.

Way to go DS!! (You? not so much! )

Parrot made it throughthe procedure and resting at home. Vet says we'll know within a few days good/bad, but looking good. Thanks.

DD9 does it all the time. . It usually becomes a competition between her and older DS12. That's when the mom and dad have to go out for a while.. Good luck, it only gets better.

I think I missed this convo... DD5 does not fart that I know of. If she did, I think she'd laugh at it. She laughs whenever I burp or fart around her. UNLESS DW is in the room too. Then that little two-faced DD will actually reprimand me for being a pig.

Good news for us both. Doc said I sprained two ligaments in ankle, but not major damage. It may take up to 12 weeks to recover, but just said to keep the same routine.

That is good news!! Reminds me that I saw a kid at the playground today who decided to jump from the top of the slide... came down hard with all his weight directly over his feet. I think he broke his ankle.

He seemed to be in a bit of pain as his parents carried him away. I wanted to go over and tell them to make sure he rolls on the landing next time.

There's 104 days of summer vacation
And school comes along just to end it

closest we came was probably mid-80s. No way we ever had 104.

This has been a very difficult 14 months, for sure. The past week or two have been a real answer to prayer. If she can actually continue to get better, we might actually make that trip next August!

Glad to hear things have gotten better. I hope that trend continues for you!

Thanks Doc, we were pretty happy when they said you were upgraded to Concierge, even though we didn't have a good idea as to what that would actually mean. To get a room on the top floor where we could see everything from the Grand Floridian to the top of Wilderness Lodge was amazing.

a concierge upgrade?? awesome!! Was it yours? I apologize, I got a little confused jumping in on the end of this.

Haven't commented on the podcast tournament. Good job putting it together. You, Aaron and the rest of the gang that participated deserve a pat on the back. Although there were times when listening, I would involuntarily shout out, "What are you thinking?" It made the drive to NJ and back more interesting.

Nice to hear I wasn't the only one blurting that out. Although, on a crowded train it got me some looks... would have been better in the car.

Thanks... was allot of fun... even if my favorite Experience got voted out in Round 1... No love for Philharmagic.

on the Droid version, you "select" a post by hitting the little upside down triangle thingy and choosing "select"... repeat for as many posts as you want, then hit the menu button and there should be an option for multi-quote reply.

does that help you at all?

Keep in mind that if your phone is Canadian, then multi-quoting is disabled.

She had a picc line so it wasn't too tough. Besides, I injected HPLC columns for 19 years so I had some previous practice!

Hi, Dave! She has made some improvement, especially the past few weeks. She is more comfortable sitting, which means we can take longer trips in the car, and she has more energy. Still a lot of "numbness", though. I'm wondering if she had Lyme disease since last summer and no one picked up on it as it coincided with her surgery/radiation. Time will tell. Her next MRI is mid-September and we see the docs a week or so later. Hopefully, the tumor is still stable if not smaller.

I should of planned my last post better but good news I remembered to actually plug my phone into the wall, cannot wait for that wireless power haha,
As many know I've been trying to quit smoking the attempt a few weeks ago didn't fully work so my new plan has done some good, I spent 2 weeks and I cut down to half a pack from a full pack and now I'm goin to cut down to 5 for a week with the goal being to quit on the 7th and when our trip rolls around it'll be a month since I quit so trying to put some meaning behind it

Norm, I've been reading that if they do another ToT race then they will post next years dates shortly after this years so we can hope they move next years into oct and hopefully be easier on us both with kids in school
