Hey Little Paul! (Paul's Son)
Little Paul Ownage!

Happy Birthday to Little Paul.

Scott.... Whatcha' doin'?

One of my favorite rides and favorite d-cot music

The one thing that has been driving me nuts is DS turning everything into a gun and pretending to shoot others. I'm trying to nip it in the bud but not with great success. .

When my youngest was that age, she did the gun thing, but instead of saying "pow", she said , "pew". I still make fun of it occasionally. Another example of great parenting.

Good Morning!!

don't mind me... been up all night getting the new TR started, among other things.

[shameless plug]

I'm Going Away... FOREVER! - Oh, Great! Could You Get Me a Sandwich?

[/shameless plug]

thank you all. carry on.

I'll go check it out.

Just got a text from Brian - he's reporting that there appears to be park wide wifi now available in EPCOT as well! :cool1:

I just hope everyone plays on their wifi and lets me sneak by in line.

Awesome. Heading to HS today. Let kids sleep after late night at California Grill. Sci-Fi Diner for lunch and Flying Fish for dinner. Then, tomorrow, we spring the Universal surprise!

Have fun. Sounds like a great day.

We love both parks at universal and spend a day in each. If forced to choose, I would spend 1 day in Islands to do Harry Potter and Spiderman and the Hulk. Park-hopping between the two is possible, but difficult if you want to spend any time at HP.

Have fun!

Good tip. We will probably just stay at SSR and drive over one of these trips.

We've noticed. We just assumed Apple was your nemesis

David got me all excited about Apple products, but he's bringing me back to PCs.

Ahhh were you watching the titans game? Just saw that myself, not sure why you would remake that movie but maybe this time they will do it justice

I went to the premier in Louisville and won a Judge Dredd hat. Stupid movie, great hat.

That just reminded me of the episode of "How I met your mother" that DW just watched. Two characters each called each other up (at different times) and disguised their voices and when the guy guessed if it was his friend on the phone, the reply was, "No, this is not ____.... but I hear that guy is awesome."

probably funnier if you just saw it. but i'm too lazy to search youtube right now.

My favorite episode was the one about the "glass breaking" once someone tells you about their faults. Then, one was crunching food loudly, one correcting, etc.

Has to be better than my Thursday, it was quite the Beverly day. Nothing like getting called into the bosses office first thing, then to be one of several on a rather scathing email, then to finish it up with a meeting, where we rehashed the office visit and the scathing email. :headache:

Matt

Bad day. At least there is only one left this week.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again... :lmao:

I told my girls, when they were dating age , to let me now when they were going to bring their boyfriend(s) to house, so I could get my out my gun and clean it.
I didn't meet every many of their boyfriends. :rotfl:

I plan to do it, we will see if it happens

You can't just clean the gun. You need to go all crazy. Crazy sells scary.

Ouch just read that you can buy the shower curtains from the AoA rooms for 100 bucks, my DD must never know of this, we share a bathroom and I do not want to stare at ariel while showering and other bathroom activities

Why wouldn't you want to look at Ariel?

who? me and spinner boy. thats been for a few years now! :lmao: (yup, i get the guy with all the weapons!)
feds the funny lookin one on the left!

Hey Dave. And for the record, I stopped sucking it in after I got married,

That would make Beverly better if it was in beer form

No, it wouldn't. Beer can still be bad. The "beast"? :scared1:

glad everything went well getting her settled in, and in case anyone's wondering I have nothing new to report just a typical day

Thanks for post padding,

Glad to hear it went smoothly! :thumbsup2
I just finished up my DD's Kindergarten orientation.

It's amazing how the elementary building that I went to as a kid, still SMELLS the same! All the memories of going to school there came rushing back!

And it's extremely hard to believe that I have a child old enough to be going there already. Where has the time gone?

I live 110 miles away from my schools, which is why I need my plan to move to WDW to happen before my dds settle in the local area. If I get them to settle in Florida, then I get them and WDW.

I think this is where I post to become a DDC member.... So here is my application ;-)

My name is Ryan and I'm from Reno, NV. My wife and I had our first son in March...his name is Connor. We are taking him for his first trip next April...hopefully bringing a 1 YO to WDW is a smart idea... haha

Love the list of requirements to be a DDC member! I meet many of them - oh and I brew my own beer. Thought that was an important fact about myself.

Have a nice day everyone....

Welcome. Since no one charged you yet, dues are payable in bacon, beer, dole whips, or cake. Brewing your own beer is fine. We took our youngest at 15 months and she did fine. She was scared of the characters, but loved the carousel. She could ride that all day.

I've never done a draft like this, always done a set time on Yahoo where you get an autopick if you don't pick in 2 minutes, not 10 hours! :rotfl2:

It's a fun change though. :thumbsup2

It drives me crazy. I like th yahoo pick so much better. I get a player in mind, and then by the time my turn hits, I talk myself out of it.

Must be better than yours. Most people don't have to wait in a line for POTC. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

The Pirate Princess Pirate moved into the dorm this morning. She is in bed now at the hotel taking a nap. At 6:30 she has to be back for a meeting. Then at 12 pm tomorrow for the start of orientation.

This was a well organized operation. They stagger the times to drop your stuff off and move into the room. We were between 8:45 - 10:00.

Each dorm had a staging area where you waited in a parking lot for spots to open up in front of the dorm.

You were then allowed to drive to the dorm and directed to an open spot. The student signs in and gets the key while you unload the stuff on the grass by the car. You then go park.

Lots of volunteers from the Athletic Teams, ROTC, Fraternities, Sororities and other clubs helped the kids move the stuff to their the room

Music is playing and it was a fun atmosphere for the kids. The Athletic Department was selling season tickets for the Men's Basketball team. Good deal, $100 for the season and includes transportation to the arena. For $10 more you get to go to the tailgate parties for free food and drinks.

And they give out Class of 2016 T-Shirts. (I have no idea what she is doing in this picture)

We got there about 8:30 and were done with everything by 11:00. Andriana has yet to meet her roommate. Her stuff was already there and she was gone before we got there. .

Looks like she already is flirting with a boy. Yeah, catholic schools.

You guys are all having a great week (despite the rain!). May have to think about a late summer trip in the future...

We're thinking about a July/August trip maybe next year or year after that. Née to check the points.

Well guys we checked out of Saratoga Springs at 11. I am now sitting in my room at Coronado Springs, Cabanas 8A. Room was ready, total transition time...1hr. Thanks for the tip guys this area of the resort is awesome, hey Don I think I see your hammock out there, I might to go enjoy lounging init later! We are getting changed and going to hit the pool is a warm day so far.

First impressions of this resort is that we may have some competition for our fav resort POR.
Talk soon, nick

Did you like SSR?

I really wonder if we could have got enough dads to have a 4th division though... Maybe a thought for next year. It really is a fun league.

I don't know how difficult MFL is to setup though. But, I'll volunteer Nate to look into it. :lmao:

.
We decided to go to Cocoa Beach for the day, we also stopped by the Disboards Welcome Center in Cape Canavral. Awesome people in there, great place to stop in and say hi. We swam in the ocean, saw a Dophin, walked on a pier, saw some surfers and saw a sting ray. Pretty full day here, getting ready for bed. We check out of Saratoga Springs and check into Coronado Springs, I will let you fellas know how that goes.

On observation about split stays, I would only do this if I have my own vehicle. I can't imagine doing this using Disney transportation. Yikes!!

Yeah, we hate split stays. Did them a couple times and never again.

First post during the time I'm usually asleep, had a really weird dream but anyways back to bed for me thanks for all the compliments on my Disney Halloween stash and about peanut butter day cares haha, and norm def gettin ready, my DD saw the stuff and asked where hers were, besides the shirt I had to tell her that I got the ears cuz I needed to save room in the luggage for all the stuff she's goin to buy, I kid you not she has like 100 dollars in her piggy bank and she's 4

$100 is really good. I've tried to encourage my children to save, and they do ok, but it is still a struggle.

I will take any Beverly challenge that anyone wishes to throw down. I tried it for the first time yesterday and...I liked it! I must be one of those people you hear about who drink the stuff. Definitely had a bitter aftertaste, but I had a few cups. My wife and daughter thought it was gross and chucked it after one sip. They could not believe I was standing there drinking the stuff.
.

That is one challenge that is all you. None for me.

All caught up. It has been a busy week at work, with soccer, and my ankle.

So, work stinks. I finished this instructional manual over 100 pages and developed a PPT with it as well. Now, it gets submitted for review and I get to have a phone conference in a couple weeks to see how many people even bothered to review it.

Then, there has been soccer team formation. I still have two teams without coaches, but if I bust up the teams and put players on other teams, then bye weeks have to be scheduled. Plus, I found out that jerseys have been ordered, so that is not an option.

Then, there is the ankle, still swollen and painful, which hurts when I move my able certain ways, hurts when I elevate it for long periods, but feels ok if I'm moving on it. My Dr referred me to orthopedist on Wednesday.

Between work, soccer, and fantasy drafting, it has been difficult to keep up here.

Lol a lot to quote, on the ariel thing, cartoon no, CM yes. If I were to ever drink Beverly again I would either need to mix it with something to get a buzz or already have a buzz, I could dig a judge dredd hat. And yesterday I did post a lot, slow day at work so yea that post was prob padding

Officially an empty nester. The kid is settling into college life. She spent last night with me at the hotel. Got up early to have breakfast (the sausage they served was outstanding) and I dropped her off. No tears but lots of hugs.

Her classes were finalized today, she got her student ID and her computer. They also took them around in groups for mini lectures about life at Seton Hall... She had to miss the one on SH's Catholic mission so she could get her computer. She was really distraught over that.

She met her roommate last night before I picked her up for dinner. Her take is that she is a nice girl but a bit "philosophical." Her major is Nursing. She also has a partially shaved head and is a Harry Potter nut. The Pirate Princess told her she has a Tri-Wizard's cup at home (Christmas gift many years ago) and she thought that was too cool. She also asked Andriana if she wanted to sneak in a rat to their dorm room. A declined. Told her if the roommate gives her any trouble, I'll send her the wand she has. She can threaten her with that.

Leave tomorrow morning for Washington to stay at a friend's house for the night. Another friend is in the area and we are planning on dinner. Then to Savanna to see the SIL. May stop around Coca Beach before going home. It looks like Isaac is leaving S. Florida alone which is good, but I will have to un-Hurricane prep the house before my Brit friend and his son come down for our Keys trip.

Trying to use photobucket app, I can see my pic when I tap on the post using the dis boards app but not on the post itself. What format on the app do you guys use to post via iPhone? Help anyone

Figured it out...please ignore

It's like déjà vu all over again.

Did you draft yet?

It could be worse. He could be a Hoosier.

Dedication. So very happy.

Yes I did :thumbsup2. Some of us were at work. I didn't want to get the pre draft selection of his holiness Pope Tebow :lmao:

That also brought up a question, do dads still do the cleaning guns and showing gun collections to boys taking out their daughters? Had one guy scare me to death when I was 17 and always said if I had a daughter I would do the same thing , it didn't work very well just had to be sneakier

I've said this before, and I'll say it again... :lmao:

I have a different plan. Teach my girls to shoot, then when the boys come over, I'll brag about how good a shot and what a quick draw she is. :rolleyes1

All caught up. It has been a busy week at work, with soccer, and my ankle…

You have been busy.
Sorry to hear that the ankle is still bothering you.
Hope that heals up in the near future.

Congrats on getting her all set up and on her way.
I mean over the past eighteen years that is.
Sounds like she’s doing just fine…
Which means that you did good.

Enjoy the trip home;
sounds like you have some good visits planed.

Hey come on now, why so harsh to the rest of us?

I do believe that you got at least two more votes then I did.
:lmao:

I must have said that too bluntly. Sorry about that. :guilty:

It’s not that the rest weren’t funny…
It’s that the 3 o’clock line happened to be the one that made me laugh out loud when I first read it.

View from my room for all you CSR fans

Never stayed at CSR. Looks like I may need to. Great view.

Yes I did :thumbsup2. Some of us were at work. I didn't want to get the pre draft selection of his holiness Pope Tebow :lmao:

I worked too. Is Tebow still available? I may need to go draft him. One pick left.

Sorry about that. I try to spread those out a a little more. I can't understand why any dads don't like going to WDW. They get to see scantily clad college girls.

Well, there's no scantily clad college girls at Catholic college campuses.

Congrats on the journey, old man. Have a safe trip home and hopefully the hurricane will miss you with no problems.
