DIS Dads DDC XX - The Quest for More Bacon...

Well, that's just a load of Peanut Butter. As I mentioned a while back, my group at work was (as of a few years ago) 5 people. Then 4, then 3, and as of Friday, we're down to 2 of us. A good friend left the company in search of greener pastures. (Sorry Andy, didn't mean to rub in the lack of rain.) We have been told that they will re-hire his position, but in the meantime it looks like me and the other guy are going to have to suck it up and work just a little extra harder for absolutely no more pay! <-not a thumb.

On the bright side, we had a nice little weekend getaway to visit DW's relatives. Stopped at the Disney Outlet store in Wisconsin Dells on the way home and picked up some $4.99 Mickey Mouse flip flops. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

That stinks, Barry...

On the upside, we loved seeing the pictures of your kids at the train restaurant! Some good friends from back in Chicago used to talk about that place all the time. Great to see others we knew there! Seems like a blast

It was really cool. Most of the time when we go through Wisconsin Dells (or "the Dells" to us locals) we have the dogs with us, so dinner is usually a drive through. This time we left the pups home so we stopped for an actual meal. The place is called Buffalo Phil's and is themed around the old west. Certain tables have train tracks that run right by them and your drinks and food are put on the toy train and delivered right to you!

I'm going to need a little more detail on one part of your list.
How was the drive? What roads did you take? Was traffic bad?

Yup, I'm fine now. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and got some bad telemetry from my continuous glucose monitor, so it looked like I was about 40 points higher than I actually was. Oh, and it was telling me I was at 55, so I was actually down below 20 or so. Normal is between 80 and 120. So not quite enough fuel to keep the engines running. Then, after they got my blood sugar back up, they were still more concerned about me than they felt they could deal with on the ship, so they called for a ride.
