Lake County but it's a city of Hammond permit requirement. I didn't believe DW when she told me that after she went to get the permit so I called them myself. I shudder to think how someone could mess up the digging of a hole. I had the utilities located by 811 so I wouldn't hit anything. It's just a 4' picket fence so I only had to go 2' down and wasn't in danger of hitting anything.

All you iPhone havin' Podcast Listenin' Dads out there.....

Apple just released a new app today in the App store called Podcasts.

It's a stand alone app that is separate from your typical Music app that allows you to manage your podcasts!

This includes, finally, being able to "subscribe" to a podcast and have it automagically download new content without you having to tell it to do so!

You can also, just like in itunes, tell it to keep however many episodes you want.

Check it out!

I can understand it from the city's point of view. If you don't dig a deep or big enough hole the fence will eventually look like crap. We had all sorts of issues around here with a crooked contractor and an inspector that would sign anything if you crossed his palm with a $100 bill.
