Morning from Dallas. I overslept and had to rush around to get things done at 4. Bumpy flight, almost spilled my bloody mary. A couple of hours layover until we board the flight for Honolulu. That is going to be a bear of a flight.

DS is having his birthday party this afternoon...

His Birthday is in July, but he's having it today so his friends from school will be around, before summer vacation starts.

Thursday is my younger dd's birthday. She turns 8. Since she has 4 softball games next week, we are celebrating now. Today, DW took her and friend to Holiday World and then there is sleepover tonite. Ahhhhhh! Two giggly 8 year olds. Thankfully, I stocked up on alcohol yesterday. My mission today was to get birthday cookie cake. As it is softball season, I think this will suffice.

Good call on the alcohol. It has been my experience that it does wonders in getting 8 year olds to quiet down and go to sleep.

I've tried using a Kobo reader now and then, just can't get into a book that way, I need to hold a book in my hand, guess I am just stubborn that way.

Back from OH for 4 days. Rather than try and catch up I will say welcome new dads, and congratulations to those deserving. Prayers for those in need as well.

Got the deck pressure washed and only took it down about 1/4". My plan is to get it thin enough in a few years so it falls apart so I can rip it off without SWMBO complaining. I don't need 900+ sq ft of deck to maintain for the few times I get to use it and SWMBO has issues about being outside so she will never use it. Washed the back of the house and pressure washed the sidewalk, mowed the lawn, did 8 loads of laundry and plumbed in a utility sink. Good thing I have a job to go to so I can rest up.

The way budget cuts are hitting the University may start farming us out to bring in extra $$$.
