After 2 long days of driving we've finally made it to Kissimmee. Only spending 2 days at the parks. Tomorrow is Epcot day!

I don’t know… I’ve meet many, many folks that were convinced that they ruled the universe. It’s never seemed to be so much an ego issue and it was simply a delusion issue. Heck I’m delusional myself… I’m convinced that I’m in charge of my own house, yet every guy here knows better then to buy into that fantasy.

I had a great birthday, I sat around the house in PJ's and played XBOX all day. I have yet to finish Arkham City, but am close to finishing the story line. Done a few of the side quests, but will mostly wait until after the main story line to finish them.

Got a new wallet, a new belt, and a coffee press from the family. Tried it out last night, and it makes a great cup of coffee in just a few minutes. (<--- that's a thumb)

Good Morning Gentlemen

Morning guys! I'm back from a week at Boy Scout Camp. Great time with MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better leadership this year. I'm going to take credit for at least some of it since I felt empowered to yell at kids this year and take control of certain aspects(like jumping all over kids who even hinted at bullying and insisting the campsite be cleaned before activities), but in full disclosure, our scoutmaster really shaped up his act this year. Cautiously optimistic about this (hopefully former) diaster of a troop of mine is starting to turn a corner.

One day - the tag fairy came in over night, and sprinkled pixie dust over most of the DISDad's in one fell swoop...

Oh, and I control the universe...

No posts in awhile? It has finally started raining here. No storms.

Rain... what's that?

We had another round of storms here a bit ago and the interstate is shut down due to power lines down across it. It has gotten to the point that when you hear thunder youi pray for your electric to stay on . The Couty Fair started yesterday...you can have drought for 51 weeks and the week of the Fair you will get rian every day

Our county fair was last week. That used to be the case for ours, but this year we just got triple digit heat all week. Lowest crowds I've ever seen there.

Monday stinks.

Good news - cooler temps with the rain.

Bad news - remember I posted about the coworker who got fired? Apparently, everything now resolved and I get to pack up all the electronic equipment from her office and deliver it to boss during travels this week.

I took this picture yesterday just so I could remember what rain looks like. Unfortunately, this was after the rain stopped and that was all we got. It has been a month and a half since we've even had anything you can measure in a rain gauge.

Here's what I see out my front door. Makes you sick. The corn should be about 7' or 8' tall by now, but the short stuff is maybe knee high and the taller greener corn that is still alive is about 4' to 5' tall. Not very healthy.

That was true in OH, not so much in KY. The State Fair here even has AC for the animals. You hardly have to break a sweat.
