Evening everyone....just checking in now, been busy all night with laundry/housework etc so we can get away nice and early Sunday. We also got our season passes to the Public city pools (especially the outdoor one down the street), so we're ready for next weekend when it opens!

Some prayers needed.

We went to the zoo today in Louisville and then on to visit my parents. My youngest dd started acting tired and she was burning hot. My guess is a fever. She complained about a sore throat and my fear is strep throat. Gave her an Aleve at parent house 4 hours ago and a cold shower. Still has temp. 2 hour drive home and some Tylenol 30 minutes ago. Still has fever. Will try some ibuprofen and another cold shower, but it may be a trip to ER tonite. Prayers please.

You got it, prayers indeed, been down that road too many times now. Hope she's feeling better really soon. What a way to start the summer.

Nik Wallenda will be high wire walking over the Niagara River from USA into CANADA.

I believe he will start the walk at 10:20 pm.

DW had it on. He made it. Now all those crowds can disperse and go home, I don't want it crowded there Sunday Would have skipped the Falls altogether, just go to Great Wolf Lodge if Audrey wasn't dead set on going on Maid of The Mist for her birthday.

Thanks. No ER. Called Dr who said fever virus going around. Said to alternate Tylenol & Motrin every 2 hours. Another cold shower helped. They have pediatric clinic hours tomorrow if need be.

That is good news you are not sitting in an ER. Hopefully it breaks and no clinic tomorrow.

We are heading out to a large community garage sale in a couple of hours, then back home. I have a gate to fix and I need to get under the house to check a spot in the floor,

Taking Crash and one of her girlfriends down to the Keys. Trying out the new camera (hopefully). Her friend wants to snorkel but am a bit worried about seas. It is no fun when waves are flooding your snorkel. Heard everything from a light chop to 3-5 feet. Have to get some stuff at the dive shop down there so we are making the trip anyway. Plus there is a great breakfast place across the street.

Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I will have some fish pics to post.

Thanks. DW took over when she got home last night, and youngest slept with her in bed. DW said that fever broke around 11:30 last night. They are both still sleeping this AM so clinic decision hasn't yet been decided.

Sitting at the airport in Jacksonville, FL waiting on the flight back to Norfolk. Had a nice dinner with Fed last night, good to meet more of the Dads out there.

My first class we used key punch cards and the card reader would continously eat the cards. I think we were suppose to be learning Fortran.

Got my Father's Day cards in the mail today from the kids. My DD included a picture from her VBS class last week. They sure grow quick. I get to see them this week and the following weekend and that might be it for the summer unless I can sneak away for a 3 day weekend.

Got a bunch of herbicide sprayed this morning and my calendar updated. I may just call it a day today and go take a nap.
