Speaking of post-processing - did you know Adobe Photoshop CS6 is in Beta and is FREE to use during the Beta? I want to try it out to see what cool stuff they added. I heard there is some great new stuff added.

Yesterday we drove out to Ennis, Texas (about an hour and a half drive from us) to try to get some pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets fields around that town. Man, I have never seen so many bluebonnets in one place before! Check these out:

Well, I have 5 days till we leave and guess who starts feeling a cold coming on?

Yep, I started feeling it yesterday. Took some night time cold stuff last night and slept like a baby. Unfortunately, this morning I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Feeling lethargic and just blah.

So I'm hoping and praying I get over whatever I've got before Saturday morning!

And since I know you're all "counting on me" - I'm gonna try real hard.


Sweet - Feeling like crap ownage!

i hate that. 2 of the last 3 trip ive had a cold. you got 5 days to get rid of it. heres what you do. put on two sweat suits, take 2 shots of nyquil and go to bed with 2 extra blankets. you will sweat it out of you. you will wake up soak and wet. if its before you normaly wake up, do it again. hope you feel better soon!

Yeah - photoshop is a little over my head since I've never really used it. I'm just starting to use Lightroom 3.

Seriously though Dave - this is the exact advise my DW gave me.



So far so good today - other than feeling lethargic and having a dry throat, I'm doing ok. No stuffy nose, watery eyes, or any chills.

I had meant to tell a story along with the bluebonnet photos.

We were driving towards Ennis, TX and passed a large church on the side of the highway. The name of the church: Overcoming Faith. My wife and I looked at each other and busted out laughing. I think the education system in this country is really going downhill.

They have a website, too. I am not going to spam the address here. I had to look it up to ensure it was an actual Christian church, because with a name like that I thought it may have been an atheist gathering place.

We did! Had a great time, and pulled off the surprise as well. So she had a happy birthday. Only problem was that it didn't last more than 2 days and I had to go back to work.

We also got our new (to us) minivan last week. So that's taken care of as well. Hopefully life is starting to return to normal.
