I'm either immune or too tense to notice that they do any good.
+1

Or not a high enough dose! I'm not a pill taker. I've taken pain pills when they were prescribed for pain and kept the leftovers when in pain later. I stick with alcohol.

I got a PIN today...a deal I hadn't seen before.

It was ticket upgrade to Park Hopper and WP&M, with resort stay and tickets.

I was contemplating it for our August trip, as I have 1 night that is NOT on Free Dining (Free Dining starts the day after we arrive).

So since I am already paying for the Resort, I figure if I add tickets to it, I can save $110 + tax each. And then save the tickets for a future trip.

However, it looks like you need to book three nights in order to get the upgrade. I am only staying 1 additional night.

Something is nagging at me, that my nemesis is behind this whole thing.

Oh well... :confused3

Yeah baby yeah!

Sexy man sexy man...sexy as a sexy man can. :rotfl2:

I posted this on the disdads.com boards, but thought I would try for some opinions here, also.

Well, I am at a bit of a dilemma and wanted to get some opinions:

First of all I have to say that I love my job. I work with great people and the hours are great (Mon - Fri, 8-5.) I am an IT server/systems administrator. I like to think I am a very important part of the company - I am the resident virtualization guru (VMWare), head up the network monitoring, and am the 'go to' guy for major IT issues that need to be solved. Really, the only bad points are that it is not a huge company, so my pay is not quite up to industry standard levels and not much room for advancement.

At my nephew's birthday party, I was told that an acquaintance (my sisters' mother-in-law's stepson - how's that for obscure?) works for a large company looking to hire some IT people - Strategic Client Architects. It is going into a little different type of job, but uses my experience well. It is almost a sales-like position - or at least a lot of customer interaction. It is a huge pay increase (over 50% more than what I make now) and with the bonuses - almost twice as much. (More Disney trips!)

I don't know if I should inquire and see about interviewing for the new job (if my skills fit), or just be satisfied with a pretty great job with the lower pay. I know that the current company I am with will have a tough time replacing me (not meant to sound egotistical - just that I have so much knowledge of the current setup/situation, it would be a long transition for someone to learn it all.) I guess I could try to get an offer, then go to the current boss and state the facts (that I love working where I am, but the pay differential is huge) and see if they might increase my pay - but I doubt they would get close to a match in pay. But those situations aren't ideal. I feel a loyalty to my current employer (we are a tight-knit 'family'), but how do you turn down a potential salary of twice what you make?

I have some other thoughts/opinions, but wanted to start with that and see what y'all think.

It doesn't hurt to interview. I've done a couple lately even though I have no intention of moving. It's good practice & gives you good perspective on what's out there

Evening..
Awesome, Congrats, where do you go...?

It's up in a little place called Katrine, about 20-30 minutes up Hwy 11 from Huntsville. It's on an isolated lake called Owl Lake.

A friend of my went camping/canoeing in the boundary waters a few years ago. He showed me the can of bear repellent (Basically mace/pepper spray for bears) the can was as big as a 2 liter bottle of soda!

With my luck, the bear would think me to be thoughtfull for bringing seasoning with me :rotfl2:

Back / Neck update.

So it's good news and bad news.

Good News: It's not what I thought. I had a thyroid problem a few years back, and one of the symptoms is back and neck pain. I thought maybe it came back. Dr. doesn't feel that's it.

Bad News: It still hurts. He says it's likely muscle pain and joint pain. Should go away soon. Recommends hot showers and possible massage therapy.

I will give it a few more days, and see how it goes.

Hope ya feel better soon.

Tough call. I applaud your loyalty. but there is a point you got to look at what would be best for you. As long as the extra cash doesn;t come along with extra headaches and stress, that would not make it worth it. :confused3

Haven't gotten any pins recently. Oh well, that would just be cruel anyways:lmao:

I think you would have to add no expiration to the additional tickets at the end of this trip to be able to use them again in the future.

You've put too much thought into this.

Yikes. Hopefully, the bank won't give you any grief about overdraft fees since it was clearly their fault.
