we go to atlanta all the time, DW loves to shop there, and traffic is pretty good on the weekends. during the week it is a nightmare.

Good to know. We will get there Friday AM. My initial plan was to stop in Atlanta on the way home Wed. I've got to find the store and figure out times. We may need to change that. DW wants to go to Savannah and eat at Paula Dean restaurant. I just want to sit on the beach.

Day one of farm safety days is in the books. Good day and didn't get eaten alive by 4th graders, so I'll take that as a win. I did feel an urge to smack one upside the head during one class session but I was able to show restraint.

Got home and did some work on the farm. Too early to plant due to the early date although the soil is definitely warm enough. We've been taking advantage of the weather and getting some tillage and much needed weed control done.

DS rode with me for 3 hours today and found a place to take a nap. First picture is a view from my seat, the second is a view from outside the cab with the door open. He drooled in his sleep and woke up with a muddy face. Mommy wasnt too amused when she came to get him, but he seemed perfectly happy.

Wow. While some people would think that is a boring view and that many hours have been wasted just driving a tractor around "the yard"... I find this picture rather interesting. Guess I'm a country boy trapped in the city.

That is one lucky boy... wish I could sleep on the job! :lmao::lmao:

Darn:headache: Oh well maybe in June or Sept:confused3

 Oh wait the guys in the lottery pool might be interested in this little bit of info:confused3 You remember what happened the last 2 times:rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao: I totally remember. I may even purchase a few ticket myself this time! :thumbsup2
Too bad Verbolten is not scheduled to be open by then. I heard they are hoping to have it ready for Memorial day. :confused3

Paula Deens Restaraunt was not what I had hoped for....it was a letdown for me:rolleyes1

paula dean's is good, but there is usually a huge line. Not worth the wait in my opinion. We love savannah and tybee island, but I agree with you. sit and relax.

Great pictures Andy!!! I love the view you have from your seat...and speaking of seats...do you have to bring your own in a tractor??? The little guy is growing...great shots of him!!! i miss that age!!
Have to bring your own seat in this one. It is a 30 year old tractor. They just started putting a passenger seat in tractors the past 10 years or so. At least it is a huge cab with plenty of room.

Chick weed is the green stuff we're tearing up. We'll be planting corn in this field.

We might have to play the same numbers in order for it to work:confused3

Anyone buy The Muppets today?

I picked up our BluRay / DVD / Digital copy, Wocka Wocka Edition...

Tried to get the Wocka Wocka edition, but our best buy didn't stock it even though it was in the ad. Small store. Had to settle for just the 2 disc combo pack.

It's an Easter gift for our girls. Can't wait to watch it again. :thumbsup2

Here's the view out the back window. Pulling a 30' cultivator somewhere in that dust cloud... We really could use some rain.

In this field, how many do you have, how big is this place:scared1::confused3

A slight setback Monday. I wore crocs to work for the first time, and walked to the post office to stop mail and courthouse to pay taxes. It was such a beautiful day. Well, when I get home, the insides of both second toes are blistered. One was purple. I could have been from all the soccer Sat and Sun, or from wearing my generic crocs. I am assuming in was the crocs, but maybe not. (I hope I would notice something swollen or purple on my toe.). So, I washed some scissors, wiped of the area, popped the blisters and drained the fluid, and used neosporin and band aids today. Well, my toes were sore. So, I didn't work out today. I need to suck it up and stay with it.

Sorry, forgot to take pictures of the blisters.

Keep an eye on it. Not to be an alarmist but my health issues started with a little swelling on my foot that kept spreading.

SIL lives in Savannah. Skip Paula's. Huge crowds and you need to sign up early the day of for lunch. Then you come back. Heard the food was good, not great. Lots of better restaurants in Savannah. Really good seafood. Wish I could remember any of them.

Andy, great pics of the farm and the dozing farm hand.

Forgot to mention, Happy Spring! Going to be a gorgeous day down here.

Happy Spring Everyone!! It was a beautiful day today!! (techinically now yesterday)

You can setup a simple network in your home, and share the wired printer.

Simply ensure the two computers have the same WORKGROUP name, and different workstation names.

On the printer with the computer, right click the computer and enable SHARING - give it a name. If done correctly, the printer icon will have a hand underneath it.

On the other computer, add a printer driver, select NETWORK printer, and let the system find it, it should also find the correct driver.

Please Note: The computer that is wired directly to the printer MUST be on for the other computer to print to it.

Hope that helped... :confused3

I'm looking to cut out the middle man completely.

There is a little trick to it. Go on Amazon and buy a gift card. You can print the piece of paper with the 12 digit ? Code. Next, type in your credit card into the kindle. Download a free app, but you still have to have the info there. Then, enter the gift card # and delete your cc#. Then, the kindle recognizes it from there. I did this accidentally. But, i had friends say they tried just putting in gift card id originally and it wouldn't work. But, that was at Christmas and they may have worked out that glitch.

Or, it could have been that I entered gift card id from computer account as opposed to directly on kindle.

I just recently purchased two books for DW to read on my KF, and as I was downloading them, I thought, "what card is associated with this?". I haven't been 'buying' books, so I forgot which account I set up for the KF!!

oops. (turned out okay though)

Mornin' guys :wave2:

Let me switch this up a bit....

11 Days!

getting close to single digits now... :tiptoe:

Good Morning Gentlemen

I was going to single quote these but opted for the multi quote.Did not want to run up my post count.People would see all my post and start to think that maybe I started having something intelligent to say.

So... higher post count = higher intelligence? or is it just an odds thing that if you post a lot you're bound to say some intelligent things here and there?? :lmao:

My new quoting philosophy (of the last couple of days) is that I'll multi-quote all the posts on one page as I am catching up, then move on to the next page. Rinse, Lather, Repeat.

turns out this post was the only one that I felt compelled to quote from that particular page!

I'll fall way behind in the post-count race doing this, but it's hard to have active conversations when you're away from the computer most of the day.

Something I know this group of Dads with daughters will appreciate.

Had the Father-Daughter Girl Scout dance this weekend (during the Georgetown game!) They played a Steven Curtis Chapman song called Cinderella. If you've never heard it before (and I hadn't), check it out. Sure to trigger your allergies...

why'd ya have to go an do that?? My allergies had been fine... not a single episode since Tarzan was on the disney channel and I was singing along with "you'll be in heart" with DD in the room.

Howdy gents!

I have not been around much because I've been so busy at work.

Anyway, the DIS Dads' Fantasy Baseball season is almost here. The draft is on Monday at 9:30pm EDT. So far, we only have 9 owners (down from 14 last year). If you are interested, please PM me with your E-Mail and I will invite you to join. If we do not have at least 12 teams, we will be forced to cancel the league. :confused3

Chris

missed the email yesterday. I'm in now!

Bizarre(but typical) work story of the day:

My boss walks into my office around 10:30 this morning all frantic about how we have a bunch of things to go over and we have to get them done ASAP.

I say to him, "Let's do it now" because my Paralegal is in my office and we've been going over many of the things already.

He says, "I can't right now. I have to go get a haircut because my hair is getting long" and he leaves. Almost an hour and a half later, I still have not seen him.

I would actually have looked for Allan Funt(or Ashton Kutcher for you young 'uns) if this did not happen to me on a regular basis.

ClearScreen

:lmao::rotfl2:

Annual performance review today with the boss. I get to pick the restaurant, and since it's 70° and sunny out, I'm thinking that Mexican place with the nice patio seating. If I'm going to be raked over the coals, I might as well be outside where I can enjoy it.

Is this like when Gozer tells the Ghostbusters that they must choose the form of the Destructor??

Awesome song. I downloaded the video on my phone. Initially, the dust. Now, I just realize they are not going to stop getting older, so I pray for them & teach them as much as I can and enjoy it while it lasts.

I couldn't sing it if that had happened.

I think I'd heard it once before, but just watched it on youtube and then clicked over to a GMA interview to see the story. On there it said he wrote it before the accident, and that initially after that, he didn't think he could sing it anymore.

still heartbreaking. can't even imagine.

Still no air conditioning so we are headed up till dinner!!! Outback here we come!!:thumbsup2

was it free onion day?
