I am off for the rest of the week, I think we are going to go see a movie this afternoon, my kids on one of their friends. They are showing some older movies in the theatre during the march break fro $2.00.

I believe the Original Muppet Movie is one of them, just not sure of the schedule.

Anyone feeling *cough* a case of tournamentitis coming on *cough*

I love coming to work on tournament days. We have pools and everything here in the office, and there's a 42" HD TV hanging on the wall just over my left shoulder. I have to turn my chair away from my desk to watch, but it's a good day at work. People coming in to BS and watch basketball on TV. Basically a paid day of slacking.

Really looking forward to the weekend, My brother is flying in from Mississippi and we are driving to Wilmington NC on Saturday to attend the Ghost Hunters Event on the USS North Carolina Battleship. Should be pretty cool!

Yea, it gets even better. DD narrowed her choices to 4 schools and now we get to go on road trips. The NY trip is already planned and we still have to go to UCF which is in Orlando. She isn't sure about FSU so we may or may not go to Tallahassee. Priced flights there and it would be less expensive to go to Europe. Once the application process is over, it becomes fun.

And we know how you hate to travel and take vacations! Congrats to her and good searches. My only advice - don't overpay. The fancy degree from a certain school may get you the interview, but it's still character, appearance, and who you know that get you the job.

Well, I guess I should really say Happy March Madness, but it feels like Christmas morning...

In case anybody is interested, I got an e-mail yesterday with a link to a site that lets you pick the tournament based on match ups. It gives you a description of teams with their strengths and you pick a winner without even knowing who you picked. It takes out some of the preconceived ideas in picking teams. I actually went back and changed my DIS Dads bracket to my picks based on this system. I figure I can't do any worse than I would have if I just went with my "gut" picks.

You may get a chance at discounts or throw aways. When I worked in a bakery, we had to throw away what didn't sell at end of day after price reduction. I lot of those went home with me.

Some experts have said UCONN might not make it to Saturday... I've also heard UCONN is going to win this game by 20... I'm scared because I have no idea what UCONN team is going to show up. I hope we can defend the 3 tomorrow.

Kinda stepped in a big pile of **** today, my wife and her friend took the kids for a bike ride when they saw a couple blocks away people were moving out and they had a sign Free swing set, well anyway I get a call to get over there to check it out, It was almost like new, it is metal but the rust proof one with a fort, of course I want it, they told me it had to be out of there by tonight, I rounded up a few of my buddies, and within 15 minutes of talking to the people we were taking it out of there yard, we were getting looks from people since we took it in one piece and it 15ft long with the fort & slide:

That's cool and free. Congrats on the find. We have a yard sale in June. I'm hoping to sell a bunch of stuff we don't use.

I will say Goodmorning for those who are going to have a good one but for me it is a 50/50 day on the happy side wife is working and i get the computer and house to myself again all morning but on the flip side my vacation has come to an end and i have to go to work tonight and hoping to post some pictures from my trip today

We are currently sitting at DW's work while she takes care of a few important matters before we head off to the Science Center for the kids to blow off some steam This is the only part of the day the girls know about. After that it's off to the Spagetti Factory for dinner, then the big surprise for the girls. They have no idea DW won tickets to the Disney on Ice show a couple of months ago, so this should be fun. They are not the greatest seats, so I'm not sure what kind of princess pics I can score, but we'll see. Still, shoudl make for a memorable day.

Wonder if the thread will still be around when we get home tonight..

The players in Chicago seem to be pretty happy about it. Especially Jay Cutler. He is better than any free agent option that was out there and will be the best WR they have ever had. This GM is just getting started so I am going to give him a chance. I think you will see a more efficient offense this year. The Bears were 7-3 and in playoff position when Cutler got hurt. They aren't that bad.

Please forgive my pessimism. I'm more of a Cubs fan than a Bears fan so I have been conditioned to expect the worst.

Should be fun, I've never been before. DW won ickets a few years ago, but I didn't go, Audrey was just a newborn, so I stayed home with her, Amelia brought a friend instead, but they had kick-butt seats. This is really the only "event" day planned for the whole of March Break, just wasn't in the cards to do much else. Couldn't take time off of work, boss already is away. and DW's boss is ALSO away, so she has to hold the fort here. Next year will likely be different though.

Despite the fact BB was the only sport I played in school, I have zero intrest in it anymore. (likely cause I sucked at it )
