Hey Don - what are your dates for Myrtle in June? We'll be there the 16th through the 23rd.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! We're going the 18th - 22nd! :cool1: Sounds like a DIS dad meeting in the making. Will PM you with details.

And remember a week ago when I had that stuff cut off of me and the stitches and all that stuff?????

Well - it's cancer.

Well at least the one spot is for sure. Basil Cell Carcinoma. The other spot is an atypical mole - but it was a moderate to severe one which have a tendency to lead to the bad stuff.

So yes, I'm 34 and have this crap already.

Thanks Mom! (she's definitely the one that gave me the genetics to be prone to it).

:cool1:

Prayers not needed - just something I'll have to keep my eye on for the rest of my life.

Fortunately, it's not the kind that spreads. Big Thumb----->:thumbsup2

Will pray anyway... that's just what we do. Glad they were able to get it and diagnose it. :thumbsup2

You know, if you want those dates on the vacation post on page one, all you have to do is PM Don ... Wait a minute, ... Oh Crud!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I'll PM him now... :surfweb:

I went with Great Bowls of Fire. Apparently it doesn't matter what I call it because once again I failed to make the podium. I came in 3rd and only 1st and 2nd get prizes.:headache:
better luck next time :wizard:

3 days until Mother In Law arrives for a week. :scared1:

I suddenly feel a network failure coming on that will require massive overtime.
Good luck i remember those days but we lived above her :scared1:
but now she is hopefully in heaven:lmao: so good luck:wizard:

This a coming from a Tattoo virigin (and I plan to stay that way)...so forgive me if it's a dumb question.

Roughly how much does a tattoo cost?
so if the right one came along you would not start thinking about getting one ?

It really all depends on where you go and what kind of tattoo you get (color obviously being more expensive than just black). Generally, you're looking at from about $40 and up.

My three tattoos cost me a total of $180. The one on my left arm was the most expensive, at $90, but was done by the best person in Green Bay (Packers often go to him for their tats). On my right arm, the drum name cost me $40 and the symbol $50, both were done more locally, but by different artists.
I love my brother but he does good work but he is no Ink Master yet but i do not turn down free Tattoos . but i can say he is cheap and does good work

Seems like a good price. I got a small tattoo about 15 years ago, all black ink, and it cost me $75...
i know what you mean some places in NY are expensive i had one i priced in NC for a 100.00 in NY they wanted 350.00 for .

DW just gave the green light for a trip to Disneyland in August!
We will be going August 2 - 7, staying at the HoJo across the street from the DLR entrance.
Woo Hoo!

This will be our first visit, so now I need to check out the big DLR threads.
have fun planning

Watching the A-Team, it's the one where Murdock wants some Trash Bags:lmao::rotfl2:
i have the whole series and love the one with Hulk Hogan

:wave2: Morning Dads!

Finishing employee reviews today, it's going great this year! I my team that we both know what is on this piece of paper will never be read by anyone and will have little to no effect on their raises so I'm just going to email them out to everyone to sign and return instead of sitting down with them. If they want to talk about it just let me know, so far no takers. 10 down 15 to go.

I should get some kind of comment on my employee review for being so efficient!:lmao:
congradulations on finishing and if i was one of your workers I would be the complainer what i did better !! i want a re review Now Please  and see what you would say ?:rotfl2::lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great day. nearly 2 weeks have gone by and still no reservation for our trip in jan. May have to look at other options for renting points. Anyone ever used the rent/trade boards on dis. We were hesitant to use those and went with a company and thought that would be the safer bet but they have yet to get the points to book our reservation.
I rented once it was my first time and it went sour good luck on getting one to sell there points :wizard:

So, I am trying to plan my trip in December and trying to get my Mother to decide what kind of room they want. In the middle of all this it hits me....I don't think my parents ever took me to Disney!:scared1:

In Grade 5 I went with my best friends family, in grade 10 I went with my Brother, and a bunch of trips after that with my wife. There was always a running joke in my family that after I was born the family celebrated by going without me (true story, left me with friends at 4 months). But if there was a trip after that, I don't remember it!

I was planning this as time for DS to spend with his Grandparents but if this is true they owe ME a whole lot of memories. Better tell the old man to start working out, whether he's laying on the ground or standing on his feet, one way or another I'm watching a parade from his shoulders!:lmao:
the same here I took my mom before they took me . got to love how kids treat there parents better then we got treated . but i would never change a thing except for her responce after the trip !

I feel ya Rob. It's been one of "those" weeks here as well. :sad2:

One thing I like about my current boss is when it came time for my annual review I go into the room sit down and he looks at me and says:

"We talk often enough, do you want the long or the short version."
"Short"
"Good job, keep it up"
"Thanks"

Best review ever. :rotfl2:
these are great ansawers

Signed up for the 2012Disney Wine and Dine half Marathon today with my wife. Anyone else running the raCE?

Wanted to, but they changed the date on us, so we're running the Tower of Terror 10 miler instead (that took the original date)...

Same offer I made to Paul. I got a wagon you can pull me in.

And really, who could pass that offer up? :confused3

CRUD. Found out my one research assistant I was going to lose in June because of budget cuts is done in 3 weeks because there was even less in the pot than they thought.:headache:

Hey guys, I was reading some of my feeds and found a link to this site. There is so much good information here!

I then found the DIS Dads! Holy crap, I need a NUMBER!!!

Finally a place where dads can be more excited about Disney than anyone else (Especially for Star Wars Weekends!!!!!!):dance3:
Welcome to our happy home did anyone ask for your bacon Fee yet ???

Have a mission for you guys going to the world in the not too distant future.

I found out about these sandwiches too late in my trip to get one.

Apparently at Sleepy Hollow they have these Waffle Sandwiches that are pretty tasty...
From looking at them I would be interested in the Chicken Waffle...and the Nutella/Fruit Sandwich.

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/11/13/new-waffle-sandwiches-at-magic-kingdoms-sleepy-hollow/
that looks better then the waffle and chicken sandwhich i had in chicago last week

1 week into my quest to be 40 lbs lighter by our upcoming trip... i am down 2.5 lbs from 240 to 237.5.

I didn't do much to achieve that. Haven't exercised yet. No Pepsi (or any other soft drinks) in the past week. Cut back on junk food severely as well (though not completely :rolleyes1)

gonna see if i can do something else to help things along this week as I shoot to lose another 2-3lbs.
I could come over and whip you into shape while sitting down watching you sweat it off !!

After our experience at Pecos Bill's...I'm staying away from Burgers AND Toppings bars at the MK.

This message brought to you by the Folks at Pepto Bismol.
nice :wizard:

Just booked my flight for Aug...

Congradulations time to party:banana::cool1::yay:

Rochester NY to Orlando (MCO) @ $222 per person
and sorry to say after baggage fee it is 272. a person was that still the cheapest ?

No, I haven't been on much. I have not heard what the results are from the background check other than the company said I do not have any aliases they could find, nor any type of criminal record. The Postmaster (or is it still Postmistress for a female??) said she wanted to hire me if I passed everything else. I have not heard back from the Post Office though. I did apply for two other positions that are more hours. Thanks for asking.
good luck

Just bought my Ipad.
congradulations

And, I just sold my netbook to dd for $25.
i would of offer a LB of Bacon !!:lmao:

Delta into MCO - $222

The Sanford flights were around $180 - $200.

Then a rental car woulda' end up costing me 'bout the same (maybe even a bit more).
good luck

Evening guys. Man this week is going so slow. The next few weeks will be interesting, the boss is taking off two weeks for vacation, so the inmates are going to run the asylum. :scared:

Welcome!!
it is always nice to be the second in command of a Psych ward good luck crackin the whip:wizard:

So, is anyone else planning a trip around Thanksgiving time frame? This will be our first trip with the BIL and his family, so it will be 2 men, 2 women, and 5 girls ranging from 13-2 yrs old. *shudder

Its actually not so bad, I don't get the chance to see my nieces very often, usually only 2x a year.
I wish this is a really magical time to go I so love this time of year . all the Xmas stuff is out

We got our AP's this week and took advantaged of the free dining and booked a trip in Sept. We are surprising our grandkids with the trip, it will be right between their birthdays.
Hoping to meet up with Dave, he's trip overlaps ours.

Don, I sent you a PM.
have fun planning :wizard:

The BIG car show of the year in NJ is late this year (Usually week after Easter) This year it is in the 1st week of May, but I mentioned to a few people that I was thinking about entering the conv, this year, I haven't been to this show in 3 years, after having a 20yr in a row winning streak:worship:

Well anyway if I go I already have a full car, everyone is saying it would be like a comeback to regain a title:lmao:, since I've won 20 in a row we would be a favorite:confused3

What are the odds:confused3 There are normally around 1200 cars entered, only 50 win, now pull that off 20 times in a row, hey they might be on to something here:rolleyes1

OMG
It is a little bit of a story I have a 56" samsung TV that took a poop about 2 weeks ago i knew it was comming because it was giving me problems turning it on and off . This happend once before when i first bought the TV . so i thought it was going to cost me at least 200.00 to fix it . and Just Like Mickey he waves his wand and i got legal papers that there was a class action suit against them for a consistence problem with this model and i'm going to get my TV fixed for FREE woo hooo :banana::yay::cheer2::cool1: Man Cave back in action:wizard:

Nice! :thumbsup2

I'm still in a state of shock that this thread is still going.... I mean, it's the middle of MARCH and yet it keeps going like the Energizer bunny.:lmao::lmao: Good thing Aaron created the distraction board :thumbsup2

Are you daring me to close this thread down while everyone but Katoot is sleeping??

Never happy to see the big "C" thrown out there. But relieved to hear it is not worse than it is.

Got 400.00 from jet blue for the 4 hour delay coming home last week, so that gives me a reason to start planning a next trip!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

CRUD. Found out my one research assistant I was going to lose in June because of budget cuts is done in 3 weeks because there was even less in the pot than they thought.:headache:

that's a beverly! sorry to hear you'll be without an assistant. And sorrier for your assistant.

My idiot brother texted me earlier saying he needed a favor. Just got off the phone with him after an hour long conversation. This is the brother who I drove to south jersey for in the middle of the night when he had been kicked out of the house he was living in and sleeping in his broken down car for 4 days.

So... he was at my house for a few days, then went to live with one of our other brothers back in NJ, where he is closer to the rest of the family to help support him and get him on his feet. Well, that hasn't stopped him from talking to his ex whom he resided with (along with her family and a cast of animals). Apparently now, she served him with a restraining order. His response is to fight it and he still thinks he can smooth things over and go back to being with her.

It's a long sordid story. But after this conversation tonight, I have half a mind to get a restraining order against him myself. He doesn't want advice. He thinks he knows everything (yet he didn't see this whole restraining order thing coming, now did he?) I don't think he'll ever get the picture.

Good morning :surfweb:

Annual reviews start today and I am first up at 7:45 this morning. If you could say a short prayer I would appreciate it. I hate these things, it's me and four managers :headache:

Just as long as you didn't forget the coverpages on those reports or you might have a visit from the Bobs.

Tell them to let us do it instead. Good luck, I am sure it will be fine.

Today looks like another good day. DD will be at the beach with friends and I will be doing a few things around the house. If the winds die down tomorrow we will be off to the Keys to say hello to our fish friends.

Have a great day everyone. And Barry, go out and run a few miles. Tim, take it easy on the couch and feel free to eat some cheese fries.
