Barry is never short of ideas..
I've got all kinds of ideas. Finding people to listen to them seems to be the hard part...:confused3
Maybe I'll leave them a present before I leave. :scared1:
Wrap up a trout in some wax paper and leave it in the heater vent.

I am working on my bracket this evneing...I was disappointed that Marshall was left out of the big Dance but glad that we at least made the NIT for the first time since 1988!!:woohoo:
Why does the winner of the NIT always jump around yell "We're Number 1!" Shouldn't they yell "We're Number 65!"

I filled out my bracket in about 4 minutes. It helps that I haven't followed any College Basketball this year. I'd hate for facts to cloud my jugement.

With the new format, it would be "We're number 69!"

You still may have to deal with me that week, like a good nemesis the duck is there :thumbsup2

The anti State Farm.

DVC is just a matter of finding the right contract.

Good searching. The one I snagged was only on there for a day.

I was thinking more of a homemade present. But, the heater vent is a good idea.

That's how much time I spent.

James, congratulations on the IRS deduction. He needs some Mickey ears to keep him warm.

Stopher, happy 18th.

Chili, happy B-Day.

I noticed you didn't say good ideas.

We know you too well to listen to them.

Did that to a couple of Fraternity Brothers of mine. Except it was a can of sardines. My roommate and I sent them a note telling them they would be sleeping with the fishes. One of the guys freaked out. Really funny.

Guess we can declare you winner now. I find the dartboard method works best myself.

You are both right!!! When does football start? :rolleyes1

School drama. My youngest (7) a bad grade on an AR test so she wrote a note, "books are for jerks" and think she drew a picture of her teacher. The teacher found the note and child claimed it was self-portrait. Teacher sent child's drawing along with her note home and was not happy.

Is it bad if i find some humor in this?

So 2 places we want to try is Gatorland & Dinosaur World, and since both places close early will be doing Seaworld in the evening, :confused3

one of the many pictures I am scanning. Gatorland Zoo circa mid-80s.

Seriously though....I'm starting to think about planning for rain down there. Any of you Dads that shoot with DSLR's....what do you do in case of rain? I was trying to avoid taking my camera bag (I shoot with a walk-around lens).

I just don't want to get caught in a downpour with my pricey DSLR exposed!

I suppose under my poncho would be as good of a place as any. :confused3

I stick my DSLR and my camcorder in ziploc/glad bags. I tear a small hole in the bag and push the lens through so that the bag stays tight around the body of the camera and mostly the lens in just exposed while I take pictures/video. When I know I'm not using it for a bit, it goes in the backpack. A disney shopping bag would be something I would use in lieu of the backpack if I wasn't carrying any kind of bag.

As some of you know, it's been a rough stretch for us. Things came to a head last week when my MIL passed away. This is the first go-round through planning funerals, notifying agencies, etc. for DW and me. Not a whole lot of fun, and my FIL seems lost in a fog (among other issues) and is almost useless. Plus the insurance just totaled our van after my DW was in an accident (not her fault, and she is ok). It's frustrating to have to go spend more money now just to get back to where we were.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Hopefully things will calm down now and we'll start to get better news. My DW's birthday is this coming Friday. She doesn't know it, but I contacted my uncle to see if we could use his beach condo for the weekend. Hoping that works out.

Hope the condo works out! Keep rolling with the punches. It will get better!

I heard some bad news Saturday afternoon. My dad's cousin, who is in his early 50's and very fit, died Saturday afternoon of a heart attack while running in a marathon. He wasn't overweight, has no history of heart problems, and ran several 5K's and marathons every year. He has a daughter who is a Senior in HS, and 2 sons in college. It's going to be tough for them all going forward.

sorry to hear that about your dad's cousin.

Good Afternoon Gentlemen, I just wanted to stop in and share that my wife had our little bundle of joy last Monday March 5th at 8:17pm. His name is Zachary Christopher and was 9pounds 10 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long.

He is absolutely beautiful and a trooper. he spent the first days of his life getting poked and prodded in the level II nursery because he started out not being able to regulate his blood sugar. Everything is just fine for him now. Today at the old age of one week he got to have his first ultrasound and X-ray to check out a dimple on his rear end. Praying that everthing is all good and there are noe problem.

He is truely a joy and a gift from God Enjoy a few pictures, I have many more on facebook and will be adding more.

Congratulations!! a handsome little guy right off the bat!

Happy Anniversary Christopher (and DW)!

Happy Birthday Christian!

As a Northwestern Wildcat, we all know that the NIT is the better of the college tournaments. Its been around longer and you have to be "invited" to participate. You buying any of this? :confused3

Et tu, Andy? :sad1:

After seeing this pic I think I was there when I was a kid in the 70's, I remember a huge Gator mouth, I also remember throwing a chicken to the Gators off a bridge:goodvibes

Sorry.

NIT stands for Northwestern Invitational Tournament, doesn't it?:confused3

You are a horrible (snicker, snicker) parent (snort, snort) to find humor in that (OK, I am laughing now).

Yea sure. Just look at the payouts and TV ratings.

Ouch. At least it is not Milwaukee. Can't wait for opening day. DD and I will be in our seats for the first pitch in the new Miami Marlins Ballpark.

I guess the main question here is did it look like her:lmao:

Sure. March madness is all about the NIT.

Glad I'm not the only one. She lost her Nintendo DS, but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as the teacher's note.

Once again, the only pro sports i get are the UK basketball games paid under the table. Maybe one day.

It was just a picture of a girl. I just can't think she drew her own picture, as she usually gives herself different hair. It could have been a classmate who made fun of her grade. Or, the teacher.

Yea, as a parent you have to do something. But it is one of those moments that once you lay the law down, you have to go outside and laugh. Had more than a few of those myself.

Not at all, that's funny stuff. :rotfl:

That stadium looks pretty cool. The aquarium in the backstop is awesome, but I'm not sure about the "art" piece beyond the outfield wall. Make sure you post some pictures from opening day!
