DIS Dads DDC XVII - Leap year edition

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

If we do the Leap Day thing, there's a pretty good chance we crash the whole Dis. Maybe we can force a time warp. Every time the Dis slows down a lot I think it has something to do with post padding!

OK. Then I will accept the honors, and do it myself. :cool2:

I won't be up at midnight. But, if it is a DDC thread, I'll help you close it in a day. Don, maybe you can set it up before bedtime, to keep with tradition, but your last post is stay away to midnight.

Thanks for taking this one for the team. We'll need to coordinate this as we get closer. Losing too many hours late at night will be tough to make up... I can probably do a midnight -1/2 stretch if I stay up with DS... :scared1:

We can get it done!

That is such a GREAT suggestion Randall... but since you came up with it, I won't take away your excitement and anticipation of doing so. You go right ahead.

No, I'm just Randall, you know the under the bus Bacon guy. they won't listen to me. but you, you're Christopher, King of Disney. Everyone looks up to you and of course they'll listen to you! :)

Speaking of short and meaningless, high Brian.

November 2007 The DISDads were born.

In those 4 1/2 years we have gone through 16 (currently on 17) threads (not counting the 2011 Thanksgiving fiasco that we don't talk about). ;)

At the rate we are going now at a thread week, by the end of this year we will be up to 61 threads.

:scared1:

Thanks for the video. That was cool. We may not be able to do that one. She has some sensory issues with loud noises, children crying, etc. So that one may not be good for us. At home we have friends over and laugh loudly it will make her run and hide, possibly cry. She loved pooh, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and esp goofy. We did cape may last time and it worked out great, lots of interaction and stayed pretty quite. Luckily Disney is awesome with special needs children. Even in the parks the characters seemed to spend extra time with my daughter and it meant a ton to us. We came away with a new appreciation for Disney after that trip.
I would stay away from 1900PF & Chef Mickey's then. Those 2 are the loudest of the bunch. As far as kids crying, you'll run into them where ever you choose. ;)

Something we saw at our CP breakfast. A family was seated. My wife asked me if he was a disdad because he was wearing a tshirt that had mickey on it and said Disney dad. I told her i didn't think as it said Disney and not just Dis. Then my guess was reaffirmed. Pooh walked up to the table, (the family had two children looked to be about 3 and 1), The Dad jumped up and told pooh to move along they wanted to sit and eat. :scared1: I was shocked. When i saw that I told my wife, that definitely isn't a disdad. The didn't get to see Pooh.
Really? That is NOT a DISdad. :sad2: :sad2:

Pretty sure the Mayan world ended quite a while back....

If the DIS is running slowly that day the whole thing will be ruined.

Oh, and :wave2: is spelled "hi", not "high".
Maybe Norm meant to write that. :confused3

Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the group? :smokin:
