One month from today! :cool1:
8 Adults, 6 kids, 7 days, 1 pool house, zero cash left over!

Having money is over rated anyway. Enjoy the vacation. this will be a long month for you I'm sure.

Too late.
But did you notice that I at least suggested we keep it as a SPECIAL EDITION thread, and not the primary thread? That way, those who WANT to participate can, and those who DON'T want to, don't need to feel compelled to do so - or get lost in the race.

I did notice that and think it's a great idea. I might participate, and I wouldn't have to read the posts.

We can use time zone we determine, but I think we should stick to one, rather than start in one and end with another. Opening and closing the thread in one 24 hour span should be the goal, imo. Thoughts? :confused3

Careful. This may trigger the Mayan end of the world before December.

OK gentlemen, I need a little help here.

- I'm open to suggestions:.

Comments?

I think this sounds less like suggestions needed and more like bragging about freedom and having a great plan.

And we'd be happy to have you participate in the revelry.
I probably wouldn't want to read them either. :rotfl: I'm sure a lot will just be photos anyway (and NOT just from me! )

I concur!

If it's a Special Thread for Leap Day Shut down, we really don't need Don to set it up. Somebody can just set it up.

So, a few questions,

1. Who sets it up?

2. When is it set up? Sure midnight, but who's midnight, Casey's?

3. Does this thread count for number of post, last to post, or any of the other silly things we track?

That's all I got for now.

I think that it should be a special thread. And yes, Don should set it up. But I don't think he'd need to put all of the same stuff on page 1 that he normally does - perhaps the first one or two to establish the link with the main threads.

I just posed that same question about the when a moment ago.

I do believe that the post count on a special thread should count just the same as any other thread. It's still part of the DDC - just a special version of it. After all, the same guys will post, so why not give them credit for it?

I think it has to be called DDC special: Randall's Gone Wild

Pretty sure the Mayan world ended quite a while back....

If I could get a lot of money, then I'll let you know if it is over rated.

Pretty good - but I think just a couple of modifications are needed.

DDC SPECIAL EDITION: Randall's Gone Wild - Leap Day 2012

That works.

Pretty sure the Mayan world ended quite a while back....

But, just in case the world ends Dec 2012, send me all your money so I can tell if it's overrated.

Some coordination will be necessary. Let's assume it gets to 270 pages, to be safe. That's 4,050 posts, or an average of just under 169 an hour.

Given that the very early morning hours, and late night hours will be undermanned, we're going to need a large push mid day.

We can do it, no question, but we should be prepared for it. :thumbsup2

This is training.

Maybe to get around the 40 second limitation, we setup a new user profile, and use a 2nd device.

Oh, and keep he posts short and meaningless, which I think we are good at. :lmao:

Speaking of short and meaningless, high Brian.

OK gentlemen, I need a little help here.

You see, DW and the kids are on their way to Iowa to visit the in-laws. After being out sick all last week, I didn't have spare leave sitting around to join them for this trip. So I have a Holiday Weekend Bachelor Weekend, starting this evening. :woohoo:

Now, I don't want to waste a ton of money eating out all weekend. But on the other hand, this weekend offers an opportunity for me to enjoy some of the foods that the rest of my family doesn't like/won't eat; watch whatever I want on TV (as loud as I want); etc.

So, here's a rough plan - I'm open to suggestions:

Tonight, either sushi or 5 Guys for dinner. I would go to my favorite coffee house for jazz after, but I just saw that they have a flamenco guitarist and dancers tonight. Just not the mood I'm looking for. Probably come home, catch up on some TV and/or watch a movie.

Tomorrow - sleep in, work on my disdads.com project. Do a few things around the house. Maybe pick up some wings at Costco to heat up for dinner while watching the KU basketball game. Drink some beer.

Sunday - sleep in again, work on the disdads.com project. Thai buffet for either lunch or dinner. Watch a movie or three. Finish leftover wings.

Monday - Sleep in. Clean up any messes I've left behind. Maybe go out for breakfast for some biscuits and gravy. Wait for the family to get home.

Comments?

Need some company?

I can make it down to Kansas for the weekend.

Wings, beer, and how about the 21 year old.

Hey, why is Don all curled up in the corner and shaking?

Too much sugar and caffeine! :lmao::lmao:

All he needs to do is actually start a SPECIAL EDITION Thread - and then get out of the way.

Well if we’re gonn’a do something foolish as this we might as well give Don a heads up. If he wouldn’t mind opening one up right after zero-hour on the 29th… I’m pretty sure we could lay waste to the thing within 24 hours.

I might have to take the day off just to join in and witness the carnage.

I can hear you conversation with your DW, "Honey, I'm going to burn a vacation day so me and the boys can shut down a thread in one day. You'll have to take care of jr while I'm doing it. OK, Sweetie?" :rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure we could as well.

Yes, a heads up would be appropriate. As it really ought to be a separate thread.

Yeah... ummm... I will most likely NOT be up at midnight on a Tuesday night. :rotfl2: So... Anyone wanting to step up and take the honors, be my guest :thumbsup2 (thumb)
I WILL, however, participate throughout the day :goodvibes

OK. Then I will accept the honors, and do it myself. :cool2:
