thanks for all the responses to the question of the day. The overwhelming choice seems to be "A". However, the answers were weighted and all I needed was one "B" to override all the "A"s... but it never came. :rotfl2:

I was leaning toward A, but the devil on my other shoulder kept pointing to the stack of bills I am behind on and saying I should keep my mouth shut.

Gonna take the high road and see what happens. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Good call. Honesty is always the best policy. As the others have said, these things are eventually brought to light anyway.

Thank you both. That list sounded a whole lot like bemoaning my place when I read it back (and I suspect there is an element of that in there), but I’m actually surprised that my family has been resilient and resourceful enough to survive that bleak list of facts. Well get by… one way or another.

I do envy those that are in a place to chuck it all and take on their own ventures. I’d like to be able to do that, but honestly… I have no clue what vocation it would be in. What things I enjoy doing… and what talents I have are not very marketable. I can’t see anyone offering to pay for what services I could render. Given that fact… I guess I better just work that much harder at the things I don’t like. Yet… it could still be much worse and I never forget that fact.

I hear ya, Rob. I've been feeling the need to vent about a cruddy workplace as well lately. Seems like the news doesn't ever get any better. And yet, we're employed and putting food on the table for our families. I guess lately I've been feeling the frustration at work, but that in turn is making me extremely grateful for the hour when I get to leave and go home to the wife and kids. I hit the jackpot in that area, and if I had to choose either success at work or success at home, I'd take the latter every time. :thumbsup2

All I have is that I was the first person at any Disney Park to be granted free entrance on birthday. Since my birthday is January 1st it was always a possibility. I did not realize that it was going to be as big of a deal as it was. We were Grand Marshalls of the parade that day. They had us walking up Main Street all alone filming us.

When the video was posted online a friend who at the time was a DU TA saw it and called Pete (owner of DU and the DIS) and later he called me to interview me for the DISPodcast.

That's big time. Very cool.

Here's a conversation stimulator. What sort of adventures has anyone had at the Disney parks in terms of participation or unusual activities. For me it's been,

(1) Contestant on 'So You Want to Be a Millionaire'--Got to 1000 points, won a hat and a pin collection

(2) Received an "Adventurers' Club" Pin from the French maid in recognition of my celebrity. (see 1. above)

(3) Two times the 'guy in the audience' at the Hoop-De-Doo review that the funny lady comes down and does the 'shave and a haircut' song with.

(4) Received a 'Splash Down' award from a CM for being the wettest survivor of the Kali River Raft ride she had seen all morning.

(5) Was the Churros guy at Monster Inc. Laugh Floor

Who has had similar adventures?

(1) Selected with DW and FIL for the boat portion of the back lot tour. :sail:

(2) On stage for the eagle swoop in the Flights of Wonder show

(3) Behind DD5 when she was 2 at Monster Inc. Laugh Floor when the monster showed her on the screen after asking "Want to see something cute?" They just got my arm and leg but I think they're cute.

(4) Holding DD5 when she was 4 at Monster Inc. Laugh Floor when she was selected to play the part of "Boo". (She didn't like it :confused3)

(5) Got a YOAMD Lanyard and Pin Set from the Dream Team at Space Ranger Spin. :cool1:

The whole trip Amelia who was 3 was upset at half the rides etc. She did not like the Laugh Floor at all, and when I was on the screen, she hated it all the more (possibly because you could see her beside her me). Now she only cried at RnR because "it was too short". :rotfl2:

Hey, since I was "That Guy" and Roz was going to give the "promotion", that means I've gotten more workplace advancement at Monsters Inc. in one visit, then 12 years at the LCBO :sad2::lmao:

I better change the thread title now... cause there's no way this baby is gonna see Feb 29th! :lmao::lmao:

Naaaa… it’s still leap year whether we close it down in a week or a month.

However, and not that I would condone such a thing, but…

If we can (somehow or other) keep this one open until then… we could open a “Leap Day Edition” on the 29th and see if we can close it down in one day. There are folks here that can certainly put a hurting on a thread. And… once we’ve done it, that milestone will be out of our system and we won’t need to worry about that particular bit of nonsense again.

Now I’m regretting that I actually said that out loud.

:lmao:

Just let everyone in my office know that I will be out on Feb. 29th.

Challenge Accepted. :thumbsup2

Hi Guys Page 40 already? The new tread smell has already started to fade.:lmao: I'm back at work and have Disney on my mind.

Home Time Wins.

I work over when required to, but only when required to.
I gave away too much of my youth as it is.
I don’t get that back.

Actually… trying to keep up with y’all here is one of the methods I use to survive the day. Believe it or not… this motley collection of guys comes in a close third behind my wife and son as the reasons that I haven’t “truly given up”.

Thanks for that.
:grouphug:

When I get home, I’ll knock back a shot of scotch and chase it with a bit of bacon is y’all’s honor.
:thumbsup2

That's exactly what I did the last couple of years at the employer...
