And we liked it...ouch...WE LOVED IT!!!

There's a certain Model Helicopter we refer to as "Lawn Darts". I will not go into reasons why....and I've been on them A BUNCH. I watched from the back of one while a Marine climbed on the aircraft behind us and proceeded to pound on one of the engines with a hammer. I felt "really good" about the rest of the operation. Then one had an in flight fire over Haditha Dam. I thought for sure we were going to be bailing out over water, but we made it back to Al Asad...much quicker than it took us to get there.

Storage Wars. Dave talks about how much "profit" he made on the locker. But, until he actually re-sales the stuff, can he consider that profit?

Man, he's always doing that...drives me nuts. Barry is the only honest guy on there...LOL

That’s knd’a what we all were doing with our 401Ks prior to 2008.

4 am comes awful early.

So, I'm off to bed.

Good Night Men!

I get to sleep in tomorrow....finally:rotfl2:

My daughter has a new affinity for the piano. I've been enjoying her tinkling the ivories the past couple of days. She really wants lessons, so I guess it's time to start teaching her as I did both of my boys before.

Yes... yes it is.

I'm on it

There is a new one downtown that opened up called Pizzeria di Giovanni, it's almost better

Come down this way much?

yeah we get down a good bit. My uncle teaches at Trident and we visit him a good bit. Only about a 3 hr drive from here. we hit the one over in west ashley or at least near west ashley, not sure what that is technically considered.

Yes... yes it is.

I had fun teaching my eldest... the problem was he didn't - and thought he knew it all.

My middle was a piece of cake. I had fun with him as well.

My daughter is very much, personality-wise, like my eldest... so I'm wondering how she'll do.

But I'm up for the challenge.

So DW and I are still bantering back & forth about when we'll be heading south as a family again. I'm amazed that she is still thinking July might work. It amazes me simply because of how much she loathes Florida anytime between May & September. So I think it might happen. Huh, who'd thunk it...

I've done that a lot lately. Getting up at 7:45, sometimes 8. I like it. It sure beats 6am. I still do that from time to time, but not every day anymore.

DD likes to wake me up anywhere between 6 and 7 to watch cartoons. Not too bad, and its better than my alarm clock.

So I decided finally, on the FAM trip to Europe I mentioned a dozen (or two dozen) pages back. I'm going to do the Paris to Normandy - but next year. I decided to do a convention in Ft Lauderdale this spring, and a cruise in the late summer or early fall - but not sure which one yet. So I'm looking at my options now. And then that way Paris to Normandy will definitely include my DW, whereas if I'd done that this year it wouldn't have.

Where will you stay if you go then?

The last couple of days DD has come in and pounced on me to wake me up, and then "tickle torture". It has been amusing, to say the least.

Summer is the only time we can travel (at least for one more year that is).

It was this type of alarm clock that convinced me that hang overs with young ones around just aren't worth it... :rotfl:

That one is West Ashley. North Charleston has one too near Trident. Juanita Greenberg's Nacho Royale is another good one owned by the same people. Oh and there's the Boulevard Diner MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM very very good comfort food

She has absolutely refused to go during the summer. She does NOT do well in heat & humidity at all. Any summer trips in the past have been west, but this year she's talking Florida... so wow. It won't be a parks trip. Resort & pools, & hanging out having fun. So that'll help.
