I saw the end of the game but missed most of the televised festivities last night.

Did anything worthwhile occur during the Halftime Extravaganza?

Yo Don! Oh Don! Dooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......

we're what 20 pages in and still have no thread title... just sayin'

And realizing we're up to page 37, and still no subtitle to this thread.

Don, Don, Don, tisk, tisk, tisk...

Nice Don! :thumbsup2

Of course it only took til page 70 to do so, sheesh... I was starting to wonder if it would happen at all

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Kidding, of course. Have we been moving fast enough for you? pirate:

You chatty Cathys... sheesh :lmao::lmao:

I think Don will get mad at us.

:headache: :sad2:

Well, I'm getting set to go to a neighborhood crimewatch organizational meeting. Apparently crime is up in this neighborhood--which I absolutely believe based on the idiot who broke into my boat, and my own general observation of the way things have gone the last 10 years.

Might be time to start looking for a new place--except that as soon as I would move into a new house, the government would move me.:confused3

I'm not leading the meeting, participating as a resident. Personally, anyone breaking in my house, especially if I'm home is a horrible horrible mistake.

Oh, and I have a warrant on the person who skimmed my card:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The economy seems to be hitting a lot of places hard. We've had to be more vigilant in our community watch, too. Seems the kids are getting more and more bold these days... even being confrontational to people in broad daylight. :confused3 Breaking into the community office... vandalism. Sucks.

I pity the fool that used your card. Justice coming shortly....

Well, the talk around the water cooler is that a coworker is being fired. They are on imaginary sick leave right now. I struggle. On one hand, if you can't do the job, then you don't need to have it. On the other side, this is not the best economy to find a new job in. Finally, with budget cuts looming, this may be enough to keep me safe. Now, it's eggshell walking at the office.

Well, it looks like I missed about 30 pages over the weekend. To skim or not to skim... eh, I think I'll go with not.

Congrats to the Giants, thanks for beating Brady. As the rallying cry that I kept hearing went, "Not in our house!"

Apparently MIA flipped the bird at the TV camera. I didn't see it though, I didn't even watch the halftime show. I had no desire to see Madonna perform.

Likely a wise choice.
Of course that’s a compliment coming from someone that you’ve already determined to be insane, so take it with a grain of salt (a pound or two might be wiser still).

They said one singer flipped the bird. I didn't see it.

Fairly tame… I had no desire to see what’s-her-name either, but I was curious as to what the consensus was on the event in general. If a “possible bird” got top billing as a memorable moment… then I didn’t miss much.

Just checked the squares and I won $200.00.

I then made a donation to Dis dads GKTW. I am happy to report that as a group we have raised $1,738!:cool1:

Last week my boss sent an email to everyone in my group asking that we take a few minutes and send her a list of our strengths and weaknesses in relation to the programs/hardware we use. We all have individual meetings with her set up this week to go over out lists. I have no idea what she's getting at with this. Has anyone else gone through anything like this?

First: Congrats! :woohoo:

Second: Excellent use of a windfall. :thumbsup2

Third: Is that $1738 just in January or over a longer period of time (just curious… it’s good either way, but amazing if it’s just in the past few weeks).

No, but my advice is to list your strengths and when you list your weaknesses write kryptonite and Lois Lane! :rotfl2:

I’ve had to do that kind on nonsense in the past (it’s a tactic that gets taught in “effective management seminars”).

No good will come of this.

Sounds about as effective as a performance review or some other management mumbo jumbo tools.

Just make sure you step up and bring your A game when they bring in the Bobs.

:thumbsup2 This. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

That is over a very long period of time. When I first set this up I thought that with all of us throwing in just a little we would raise a lot of money very quickly but it has not worked out that way. I have been trying to make it part of my monthly giving and I hope that other dads will consider this also. We are one of the largest groups on the dis we can do much better.

That ends the fundraising protion of tadays postings.:hippie:
