Ouch! But if I remember correctly, the Dolphins kept the Bears from going undefeated in 86. I don't talk pro football. Too painful. Bad owners and incompetent front office for years.

As a resident of St. Louis, with the Rams to "cheer" for, all I say every year is: Go Green Bay! (my DW is a cheese head for some reason)

very good series and excellent books. I'm on book 5 now, reading them one after the other.

Saw that too! Hilarious! (& accurate)

Me too! Just started book 2.

As soon as there's a Disdad Game of Thrones Thread, let me know. I'll discuss the heck out of it!
:magnify:

And my ticker has me checking in in 5 days!
Art of Animation!!!:woohoo:

One of them nights again...I am REALLY starting to hate working nights now, seems like that's when customers and staff are at their most obnoxious. :lmao:

That's what my counterparts in Ontario tell me.

Yep, somehow our little company each year makes Billions of dollars in profit, yet we have to cut back staffing, budget etc to make it happen?

Also they push and push for all-day kindergarten to help counter the lack of daycare, now want to squash it cause it might cost something. We need the all-day ourselves, no day cares available around us :sad2:

You are only 6 (maybe 7) numbers away.

Well my numbers are set, what they need to do is match them. I've done my part. :lmao:

There are bigger issues that require my attention.

I am currently working on hunger in Africa.

Wait, Brian is Bob Geldof? :confused3

Morning Guys!

Its a soon to be rainy Wednesday as Beryl makes its way up the coast. Morning sky was overcast was slight patches of lighter gray towards the horizon.

I have alot of slides and work to do this morning, but figured I would surf over here instead... go figure.

Matt

Morning Matt :thumbsup2

I know the feeling of being distracted by this place :rolleyes1

Good morning Matt and David! Working from home today unfortunately. With dial-up I won't be able to catch up on the last 22 pages so I'll just jump in here. Hope everyone has a good hump day.

*shudders:eek:

I dont think I could go back to dial up. I would use my phone to surf before I went back to that.

We did something similar last summer. We picked up a convertible from National that I got a great rate on by using the Emerald Club and a discount code I got from another site (something to do with mouse savers). We used it for 3 days and returned to the Car Care Center near the entrance to MK.
:scratchin A convertable, huh? Oh, wait. Ryder with be 5 months at the time and probably still pretty much bald. Getting a car that allows the wind to whip through his hair is kind of a waste of money.

I've got plenty of ideas, but I just can't seem to find anything that meets that "won't break the bank" criteria. Sorry.

Good luck! :thumbsup2
Maybe I'll see if there is someone that can rent me John Deere for the weekend.

I've got nothing significant to offer, but from watching the Bourne movies, it looks fairly simple to walk through a parking garage, use your elbow to bash in a window and then hotwire an appropriate sized vehicle.

Typically that is frowned upon by DWs and the authorities, however.
Now we're starting to think outside the box! Keep the ideas coming!

I second using National. They also have a drop-off right at the Swan hotel. We were checking into BWV at the time, so I drove DW over to BWV and dropped off the luggage... drove the car over to the Swan, then walked back with DD. She loved walking through the lobby of the Swan :)

Make sure you join the Emerald Club if you use them! This allows you to bypass the check in counter :thumbsup2
We are staying at BWV, so National is starting to look pretty good. :thumbsup2

Barry, I think your best bet is National and drop it off at the Swan. Never rented a car in Orlando but use Enterprise when I need one. I assume they will pick you up at the hotel to take the car back.
Thanks CJ!

A lot of rental car companies will have good deals closer to your travel dates as they try and get rid of inventory. I think I read somewhere that you can get good deals from 2 months in.

They'll also try and up-sell you at the counter, but you should resist that. Then many of them will allow you to pick any car in the row anyway, even if it's a bigger size than what you paid for. Can't always count on that, though.
What? I don't need the $20 a day insurance? But they make it sound like such a value!

Our 4 day park hoppers for Disneyland. Bought them the day before the price increase. The calendar is not spinning fast enough.
Nice!

Hey Dads - quick checking in. Anyone going to be at AKL in the next couple of months? I'm trying to get my hands on a more current activities guide for the resort - I know that they have the cultural stores every night, and the night vision goggles on the savannah, but I wanted to see what else was there, since one of our ADRs will be for Boma. (Love them zebra domes!)
Mark (Captain_Oblivious) will be there at the end of July. Just wanted to mention that in case he didn't see your post.

You get to go on slides at work? Luck-y! :lmao:

I agree... I know my numbers are correct, they match my slip that I filled out.

Maybe we need a class action suit against the lottery, as THEY are the ones loosing weekly, not us.

I agree, it's a conspiracy by The Man!

Remember the concert I put on at Downsview in 2003?
SARS-stock?

Also explains why you don't like Mondays

Morning, all! pirate:

So my boss stops by yesterday afternoon to tell me that I have to take all my stuff out of my cubical before Friday morning. :confused3 Apparently, they are moving my row of cubes a total of 3 feet so they can put in new cubes behind our row. So I now need to take everything out... move it to another location... then move it back in when they are done. :sad2: So... I said I need to work from home on Friday... She said "Ok". :cool1: Oh... and I get to use company time to move the stuff, so that ain't bad either :rotfl2:

Agreed. A lot better then them saying they are taking your cubicle out period.

Pouring outside but decided to go to the mailbox anyway. Was rewarded when in the mail was this...

Now that's some quality mail. We just recently got our WDW tickets as well--also beating the (assumed) price increase that's coming.

As Barry said, I'll be there towards the end of July. I'll try and remember to pick some up--we usually grab stuff like that for the scrapbook, anyway.

Shh! It's a surprise! Good thing the kids don't log on here.

I'm impressed you could react so calmly when your boss told you to clean out your cubicle. :rotfl2:
