Fun story. We now have a cook from the Grand Floridean Cafe working in a Owensboro nursing home kitchen. He is looking for a 2nd job as well. He said that it is far cheaper to live in Owensboro, but the precipitating factor was the crime in Orlando. He said that he woke to find a burglar in his child's room. He left quickly and lived with relatives here for 3 months, and now has his own place. He does not have the recipe for the carmelized onion soup, as that was not his section.

NICE! Is he going to build a monorail from Owensboro to Louisville?

Our biggest grocery store chain in Canada is called LOBLAW'S.

They do cooking classes, at some of their bigger stores.

My mother takes these classes on occasion, and said the instructor of her course was the original head chef at Le Cellier when it first opened.

Another fun fact about Loblaw's: They just opened a new Loblaw's inside the old home of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Maple Leaf Gardens Loblaw's

Rapid Rail from Owensboro to Orlando would be great. We have a direct flight from here to Orlando in Allegiant that runs Tuesday and Saturdays. One flight is $29 per person one way, except during Spring and Fall Break, when it goes to $179 one way. EKU has a DIZNY building & program with Disney internship program. I'm all for building that KY to Disney pipeline.

Hey, New York DISDads, I thinking of going to NYC with my Sister from Calif and am debating what day would be better the 12/26 or 12/27. We would go to New Jersey and catch the PATH train into the city. I'm thinking parking would be better on the 26th. What are your thoughts?

The 26th is off for at least the financials and I'm sure many others. Commuter lots should be pretty vacant. The 27th should be doable but definitely not as good as 26th. It helps to get to the lots early. The PATH is awesome for getting in/out of the city quickly though! Since i live on Long Island, not sure which Jersey station would be best though. By me, lots are full by 7:30.

Citizens of Wisconsin are crying in their cheddar cheese soup tonight. No undefeated season for the Pack. Still only one team in the history of football to complete and entire season unscathed. Barry, my heart morns for you.

The fish got another win today. Oh, Goody. Dropping even lower in the draft. Really torn on hoping they stink or watching them win.

Pats/Broncos starts off interesting. Go Team Tebow.

Well, I'm crying, but not for the Packers, but for my Fantasy team lead by Rodgers. Couldn't have been a worse day to have a career low. Well, the only good news in that is I'm facing Rodgers in another fantasy league.

So, let's go conspiracy theorying ...

Week 13
Chiefs fire head coach.
Start QB from waiver wire.
QB lost 41-14 earlier in year to same team.
Rodgers has season low performance.
Chiefs win.
Colts win. Hmmm......

I picked against Tebow this week. I have picked with him the past few weeks including last week, when he didn't cover the spread. It's still early, but will end of game Brady magic or Tebow magic prevail.

Good win by the Pats. Funny thing is, you could tell that even down 18 in the 4th quarter, the Broncos and their fans expected them to win. That's a pretty cool thing, have to hand it to them. Glad we won today, but I'll root for the Broncos to win out the rest of the season (unless they come to Foxboro in the playoffs).

THe Pats Def is as bad as GB Def, but if Ben isn't healthy, I don't think anyone else can put up enough points in AFC to beat them. GB really looked bad today. Don't know if it was team let down or no prep. Pats and Packers would be great Superbowl shootout, but not sure both will get there.
