It's been a while since we had a "What's for Dinner in Canada?" report.

Dinner tonight consisted of - Meatballs, rice, broccoli and pickles.

I have to say that sounds like an interesting combination. I am going to put a roast in the oven soon with carrots, potatoes, and onion. If I am lucky, I will be able to deglaze the roasting pan and make a gluten free gravy.

Yes, I am a good cook and I love cooking. I think DW married me because I love to cook (and the fact I am a sweet talker).

Barry - a little late in responding but CONGRATULATIONS! Another boy. That's awesome.
Thanks Stopher! :thumbsup2

Depending on where the pickles are, that could be awesome...or not so much.

Yesterday we cracked open on the Disney cookbooks and made Disneyland's Thunder Mountain Ribs. One of the ingredients was "1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce." Well, that required going to another cookbook for Flame Tree BBQ Sauce. So, yes, we had the best of both coasts. :woohoo:

I used to make those at the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ many, many moons ago. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD food. Yum. My mouth is watering now just remembering them. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm good.

Don't want to bring the mood of this thread down....

I just found out my dad has prostate cancer.

Your prayers would be much appreciated.

Oh no Scott...

Really sorry to hear that.

Thought and prayers are with your family.

What a good looking guy! What size is my namesake in now? 5? He's growing like crazy!

So when are you going to get him on the boards? I believe stopher2 is still available... :cool2: :rolleyes1

Um, Stopher, you're not the only Christopher on the boards...

But, :wave2: Stopher! Enjoy your day tomorrow!!!

Sorry to hear that Scott. I'll be praying for your father. My dad has had prostate cancer for 8 years now, and has been on experimental treatment for the last year (and is holding steady). The good news is that they are making advances every day. Hopefuly your dad will make a speedy recovery.

DW is on the phone talking with one of her friends about our trip to California. She just said with an eye roll "Ryan has us slated for 4 days at Disneyland, but maybe we'll be able to break away from the parks for an afternoon to go to the beach." I'd be willing to bet large amounts of money that once we get to DLR there won't be any getting us away from the Parks.

Um, Doc, I know that I'm not - but most of the other Christopher's go by Chris - and I'm the only one with (chri)STOPHER as my user name. And I claimed the namesake issue first. And Tim keeps referring to the little guy as Christopher... ;) So there. Neener, neener. :rotfl:

:wave2: backatcha!

My mom (Christine) calls me Christopher, and my DW does when she's mad at me...

I'm going to take the high road and ignore that one. pirate:

Back today from a wonderful trip to the Keys. Weather was great. Well, on land that is. Winds 20-25 from the East, waves 5-7, lousy visibility and current in the water. Decided to have fun on terra firma instead of getting beaten and bruised diving. So, no underwater pics from this trip but many memories of good food, drink and companionship.

Scanned the posts that I missed. Seems the embers are still smoldering from the incident I am ready to forget about.

I also saw that congrats are in order to the FreezinRafiki family on the determination of the nursery room's color. Ryder, you are in for a fun ride.

Tim, I hear you. We have all gotten poohed on at some point. Mine decided to finger paint her crib in it once upon a time. That was fun to clean up. Great pic. The little man is getting big.

Scott, sorry to hear the news. Hoping things turn out well.

That's part of why we live across the country from my folks - saying my full name takes too long in a text, and it just doesn't come across the same in an email or on the phone. :rotfl:

Ok. :cool1: :yay: :dance3: I win :cheer2:  :rotfl2: :rotfl:

(But really... you live in the same state - you can go SEE him in person - I can't - only by photo. So let me have this one little thing.)

You actually cooked them beauties? I don't know if I could do that job and not gain 150 lbs by my 90 day review. :thumbsup2

Here's $50 for cab fare. Have fun at the beach.

That's why I am Brian - there really is no long version of that - hence mom and DW can't be mad at me... :rotfl2:
You've got a middle name, don't you?

I also saw that congrats are in order to the FreezinRafiki family on the determination of the nursery room's color. Ryder, you are in for a fun ride.
Thanks!
