Afternoon guys,

Having a wonderful time, wish you were here. Met up with Aaron at the Reunion CoP meet. Len Testa created a script for the audience to yell comebacks during the scenes. Funny. From there we had lunch at Sleepy Hollow. Not a big waffle fan but the chicken was good.

Tonight is the Dis event at WWoHP. That should be fun. Hope you guys are having a great weekend, I know I am.

Very cool :thumbsup2

I am so pumped, my beloved Hoosiers beat the Wildcats of Kentucky on a last second shot :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

It has been a long time since IU has been fun to watch. We are still far from being a great team, but this win was special. Congrats to the Hoosiers (sorry Nemesis) :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Always better to be on the side of caution and let any nagging injuries heal... You can overcome fatigue, but injuries are tough. :thumbsup2

No kidding...that broken ankle has been consistently giving me trouble. Trying to get back in the swing, but it's tough when you can't walk after 4 miles:guilty:

When I first hurt my hip 7 years ago, I had no idea it would be such a chronic pain in the Beverly :confused3

FED, do you have to wear an ankle support?

No...but my ankle is a train wreck from a 34 year soccer career...I'm just hoping it holds together---sooner or later, they're gonna' have to go in and fix it right

Congrats to IU and to you, nemesis.

Todays game was VERY agrressive and low scoring. We lost 4-1 and Ethan scored our 1 point from the foul line :thumbsup2 Today only cost me a buck :rotfl2:..I was impressed with Ethan guarding he just throws those arms up and towers over the kids and intimidates the crap out of them I love it LOL

Teach him a good post move like the drop step. That may cost you more money.

:rotfl2:Evening (man, it is morning now technically) gents, just skimmed the ast ten or so pages to catch up, it's been a crazy past few days. The van had been making some bad noises the past couple of weeks, and took it in to a trusted garage near her work....they called her to say no charge, nothing more they can really do, the engine was shot.:headache:. I guess it's time to start shopping for a new one, and only 6 months away from paying the damn thing off:lmao:. Anywho, I get a call just before 5, DW is on the QEW highway and something went kablooey, and it was toast. (Damn thing couldn;t even get her home!) LOng story shot, we went car shopping with my dad, who lobes this sort of thing. We ended up gettuing a very smart looking 2010 Dodge Journey, still practically new, little milage on it, full warrenty:woohoo: Bad news is, going to be paying for a lot longer tjen the 6 months we were waiting on.:confused3.

Our whole corporate HQ has a meeting this afternoon and I see a big refrigerated truck outside. Methinks we're all getting turkeys (again) and then being given the rest of the day off. Woo hoo!! :cool1:

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::lmao: Bonus? Bonus?? Welcome to the magical world of the LCBO, where we work our assses off this time of year, each season bringing in record sales, and more and more stress. We've been told to cut back on the seasonal help as much as possible, get everyone to work harder instead. Oh, and while we bring in billions in profit, here is the advance notices that you're hours will be changed so that you now working later in the day in the new year, even LESS time with your family, and for the part-timers, your hours will be cut.

Your Christmas Bonus? We will e-mail each store a form letter thanking you for all your hard work bringing in record sales, dealing with customers angry because we in head office were too short sighted to order enough of the popular stuff, but ignore all this when your contract is up, because times are tough, and you need to pull your socks up.

Nope, not bitter, nosiree-bob. Ebenezer Scrooge would look at this and go, "Gee, what a bunch of @#$&*%@!s....":lmao:

Good morning gents :thumbsup2

Today is DW birthday, she keeps getting younger every year. Happy b-day to Mrs. DisDadDoc as well

Tiki - really sorry to hear that money is more valued then the people who generate it in your company. It feels like crap not to be appreciated, but someday I hope it will happen for you.

I forgot to ask if anyone knows who to contact in regards to faulty theme park merchandise? I bought one of the nation mugs while in Epcot. I finally unpacked it and hand washed it so I could use it. All of the deals/printing came off in the soap :scared1:

I survived the Four year old birthday party and my frantic wife:lmao::lmao:

My god she can be a task master when she's focused:rotfl2:

I increased Miller's profit bottom line last night:rotfl2:

Ugggh... I owned a Chrysler and had the same problem.

I was driving in to work and my engine died - no sign of it coming, only 119,000 km (74,000 milles).
Spoke to Chrysler they refused to do anything about it - so I refuse to buy another of their cars. ;)

Haven't seen a bonus for years now at my work. Can't complain though, we've had mega layoffs over the last few years - so gotta just be happy to still be working. :confused3

Hate to hear that. We have three cars - 15, 10, and 6 years old. One is close to 200K and the other 175K. I know one will blow up soon enough, but I have the other as a backup. Now, if both go .... Car payments stink.

At my 2nd job, we received a Christmas party, food, some token gifts, and an ornament. The full timers get a small cash bonus as well. I have been there for almost 3 years. When I started, there were 8 full time staff. At this year's party, there were 18, with 5 of the original 8. I thought this was progress, but after speaking with the others, they were all PRN staff like me and don't get benefits, which is better for the corporation bottom line.

The greed of these corporations has run aduck .... amuck.

We can't expect corporations or government to fix the greed. And, instead of trying, I just got a 2nd job to support my Disney vacations because if I complained, then I might lose what I already have. Actually, with DW receiving furlough days at work, my 2nd job we're just breaking even. I'll pick up some money referring some soccer games this season. We are still very blessed and do what we can to help others, but watching the greed at these highest levels really makes me sick.

Could ya tell I was tired and cranky last night? :rotfl2:

The one positive I have is, as full-time, my hours really don't get affected much, I don't lose anything, like some of the casuals will. I even did the new hours before, to accomidate Amelia's day care, so to me, not as big a deal, but I know most full timers in my store live way out of the city, I am sure they'll love the commute later now. The real problem is a slow-burn one, we are inching closer and closer to our collective barganing agreement ending, so it's time for the government to start slowly making us workers look bad to th public to win the public's favour if a strike should happen. Also there is a call out for us to pull in more money for the province, we are not effeciant enough. Hell, they are screwing over the non-union managers too, basicly telling them that they will need to do work on their OWN time for bits (Sundays etc)...so it;s no-win. Something at Christmas, our busiest time of the year, would have been nice. Hell, a catered lunch on the 24th would go a long way (it's pot-luck)

Well that sucks big time....just call the basic line and ask for assistance pointing you the right direction..

The real loser is any chance of a Disney Trip in 2012, this pretty much put the nail in the coffin. It'll make 2013 all the more sweeter :thumbsup2 At least the money earmarked for new brakes can now go to an Xbox 360 :rolleyes1

Good afternoon!!

DW took DD to see Cinderella (play) at a local theater... so it's just me and DS for some manly football watching!!

Got emailed an offer for another day of work... this time it's Christmas Day!! 5am to 1pm. :scared1: I told DW I wouldn't take it because I'm already working christmas Eve. But after talking about it, and then looking at the bank account and stack of bills, I had no choice but to say yes.
