DDA Chapter 9

Terry and Stephanie - I hope you both have so much fun this weekend. Sounds like they have lots of fun stuff planned!

Jennifer - I love looking at the pictures of the girls. Bob sat beside me this morning and oohed and ahhed over them too. :)

It is amazing to me that in some pictures they look almost identical (I know they aren't) and in others there is such a difference in them.

Tammi,

 for you & the kids. I would feel the exact same way you do. That is sweet that Alyssa has grown so close to Bob, kids are very good judges of character & we all know what a good guy Bob has been to you & your kids.:lovestruc
:wizard: for your mammo.

Yesterday we went to the beach with some friends. The weather was perfect. Then after we got home I was making some more shirts for the kids. I have always gotten my shirts from AC Moore but they didn't have the size I needed in yellow (for Dan & Sophie's) Lego Star Wars design) so I got a few at Michael's. Well all 3 shirts came out wierd, like there were splotches on the dark parts of the design...:confused3 It didn't happen with the AC Moore shirt so now I am peeved. I am going to go back to AC Moore today & just use another color & try again. Ugh.

Daniel & Sophie are loving their science camp this week. They are building a robot to take home when camp is over. Katie & I get a little alone time in the morning while they are at camp so that has been nice.

Have a great day everyone!!!

You know what I have noticed with the whole group.....we are all alike in at least a few things....it's almost like one poor mom had all of us. :rotfl:

DDA is better than family:flower3:

I just finished an email interview...have any of you ever done one??

I have had e-mail introductions, but not actual interviews. I hope this one works out for you!! :wizard:

That poor mom! :rotfl2:

:wizard: for the interview. I've never had one or heard of it before but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Robyn, my cousin and I frequently grouse about our worthless sisters being treated like our moms prefer them. And here we are, the ones who handle our own lives and never ask for anything, and our moms resent that we turned out as responsible grown-ups!

I got a phone call from my girlfriend (her DH was Mo's coach) and she wanted to give me the information for the soccer tournament on Saturday for Emma. Umm, hello! Eric was told there wasn't room for Emma. There is no way that we can commit to this now. Not only is my cousin going to be here but Emma is still having ear pain and I seriously doubt that running around in 90 degree heat and humidity would be a good thing for her.

I swear this whole year of soccer has been a mess. I think it's time for a break!!

Ridiculous. Wouldn't the girls prefer to play something else next season? :rolleyes1

My kids go to their dad's on Friday and then Sat. they leave for WDW. I'm already starting to go into a funk about it. Mainly because it's WDW. If it were anywhere else I wouldn't mind nearly as badly, but WDW is my turf, our happy place. How dare he encroach. Then on top of that I'm worrying....plane crash, someone getting lost, drowning. I know I know, it's over the top, but trust me, he doesn't have a great record for paying attention. I don't like not being in control. I'm going to miss them terribly.

 That would kill me. I hadn't ever given it much thought until a former boss was dating someone I didn't like. I felt sorry for the kids, and I felt sorry for the Ex who was powerless to do anything about it. I know XH isn't vacationing with anyone he is dating, but the situation of the kids being away from you and having to follow directions given by someone else is the same. :guilty: I do hope the kids have fun, because I don't want them to be miserable. WE all know they will come back with a greater appreciation for you, and your trip in August will be FABULOUS!

my baby is headed to New York right now:sad1: We had a massive fight this afternoon....I'm going to blame it on no A/C. We worked it out but I hate fights.

She has strict orders if they are anywhere near the World of Disney Store to go in for me. :goodvibes

I hope Cassidy has a good time! Sorry about the fight.

I'm heading to bed. Thanks for all of the advice. Tomorrow I have my very first mammo. OUCH!

Theresa - sorry about the fight. I know it sucks.

Mammos aren't that bad. Take it from Mom, better to catch things EARLY! :thumbsup2

Terry and Stephanie - I hope you both have so much fun this weekend. Sounds like they have lots of fun stuff planned!

Have a splendid time, ladies!! :cool1:

Jennifer - I love looking at the pictures of the girls. Bob sat beside me this morning and oohed and ahhed over them too. :)

It is amazing to me that in some pictures they look almost identical (I know they aren't) and in others there is such a difference in them.

I don't think they look THAT much alike. They are both beautiful! I can't believe it has already been a MONTH!

So today is chemo day for Mom. :scared: I really hope it goes OK.

DS has the orthodontist this morning, then Princess has gymnastics before lunch. I am moving her up to the next age group at gym. When this session started there was a huge influx of really young kids (almost a year younger) so now her class is a bunch of kids we don't know who have a completely different skill set. Time to move up!

I kept meaning to tell you I like the Mickey shirts! :)
Good luck with the Lego ones! Hopefully you can find another color that will work! :wizard:
Science Camp sounds like fun! I think I might INSIST that DS choose a camp or 2 next summer.

Sending PD for the interview.

Tammi -- I hope the vacation for the kids goes well and Nicholas continues to feel well. Enjoy your week of "me" time, but I think I remember you have a business trip?

Anne Marie -- glad you had fun at the beach. I can't wait to see more of the shirts you are making. Sorry about the Michael's shirts. I've used them before and not had problems. I wish we had an AC Moore. My boys are in robot camp in a few weeks.

Elizabeth -- sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to your Mom.

Today is our last day of swimming. Since baseball is over next week for a while, there isn't a need to keep going. I'm glad that will be one less thing every day. Andrew has another practice tonight. I made some progress on decluttering last night.

Oh -- one more thing. A neighbor who is around 4 got on our playscape last night (the one I won last year) and was stung more than 30 times by yellow jackets. No one has played on it in months because we aren't ever home so we had no idea there were two large nests in it. Anyway, he was doing just fine last night, but if you wouldn't mind adding him to your list for prayers/good thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

Have a good day everyone! :)

That must be tough for you, Tammi! Do you have lots of things planned for the weekend to keep you occupied so worrying will be kept at bay most of the time? I am free and willing to take up some of your time... :goodvibes
Thanks Elin. Bob wants to go jet skiing at Lake Anna. And I have to shop for a bday present for my dad.

When does Bethany return? That has to be hard for Bob too!
She comes back Aug. 8. And yes, it is hard.

Yay for Princess progressing so well!

Two, actually. The weeks of Aug. 4 and Aug. 18. So the kids will be miserable staying with their dad those weeks. Alyssa has already said she wants to stay with Bob. He will be staying at my house dog-sitting.

:wizard: for the little guy! :sad1:

Thanks.

Science camp sounds like fun! Sorry about the shirts. I hope the next round turns out better.
Thanks.

Yep, they love it..building robots, learning about circuits, & doing scientific experiments. I knew Daniel would love it but I am pleasantly surprised on how much Sophie loves it. There are only 5 girls in the camp..maybe 20-25 of the rest are boys.

Elizabeth,
:wizard: for your mom!!!

Marci,
OMG, that is terrible...yes I will keep the little boy & you in my thoughts.

Marci :wizard: for the little boy :wizard:

Anne Marie glad Daniel & Sophie are having such a good time. Good luck with the t-shirts!

Theresa I hope Cassidy has a wonderful time!

Elizabeth I hope all goes well with your mom's 1st treatment today  I would love the Tink pin if you do not mind getting one for me :thumbsup2

Beth I hope all went well with your appointment Tuesday :wizard:
