DDA Chapter 9

I am really wishing I was going to be in California longer as there is so much I want to do out there. Then again I am happy that I have 2 days in CA before I board the ship. Instead of arriving the day or day before. We arrive late Thursday night, actually it might be early Friday morning till we get to our hotel. Sunday we head to the ship early. So we have Friday and Saturday to do things.

We are still trying to decide if we want to do one or two days in the parks. Personally I would love to do the 2, but not all are convinced. They are afraid that arriving in CA at midnight CA time is going to be too much to get up and go to a park on Friday morning. Hello sleep the first at sea day on the ship. ;)

Disneyland is open 8am to Midnight, I want to be there a lot of that time. We could get the hopper for 1 day but for about $20 more we can get a second day.

For those who have been to Disneyland, do you recommend two days, one at Disneyland and the other at DCA?

I am by no means a DL expert, Becky. But I would get the hopper and jump back and forth between the two parks, if you can. That is how I did my DL trips the past couple of times. It worked well for me.

I will also say that you might want to PM Glynis as she is the DL queen. :)

I'll have to keep my eye on SWA and Airtran. Who knows, we may end up driving if the airlines keep screwing things around.

Their prices are awful. Bob and I are planning to drive unless something major happens to lower airfares. :sad2:

Hi Tammi! Glad you had a great time away.

Bob and I just had the cabride from h e l l! We finished dinner with the girls and decided we wanted to skip the "T" and take a cab. I don't think this guys knows what a speed limit or lane lines are!

Time for bed. See you all in the a.m.

So just the one day hopper or two day hopper? It will be a Friday and Saturday or just one or the other.

If anyone has any spare Pixie dust and prayers my brother could sure use alot of them tomorrow morning starting at 8:30 CST.
long story and to much to go into.

Hi everyone-
What a night! I went to my brother's softball game, which was fun. On the way home, my parents and I had a bit of a disagreement, so it was a tense ride home--I called my btother and he invited me out wth some of the guys for a couuple of drinks. I ended up telling him I would drive and we were out from about 830-11..we had a blast! I had 2 drinks and about 3 glasses of water and some fries, but it was just so nice to relax, hang out with the guys...My brother and i got to spend time chatting in the car and it was just a good night!

Hi Becky!

Jennifer - :wizard:

Elin - have a drink and get some sleep!

Goodnight everyone. It will be soooo nice to be back in my own bed. :cloud9:

Well..........so much for sleeping good in my own bed.

So just the one day hopper or two day hopper? It will be a Friday and Saturday or just one or the other.

Well, I think you would be pushed to do everything in one day. If you wanted to hit just the highlights it could be that kind of hopping around day. Again, if it were me, I would plan on the two days.

Maybe I misread your initial question too, Becky. Were you asking if you should get a 2-day hopper or two single admissions? If that is what you wanted to know, I would think that two one-day tickets would work too.

Morning DDA!

Tammi - welcome back! You didn't miss much with SW. I paid $279 for my flights. :headache: I think anything under $250 to Orlando is a good deal now. (At least from my area here...)

I actually feel like "almost" a normal person today (no wisecracks, please). I'm still exhausted but I can breathe better and my head only hurts a little. I better get to work. Andrew has a tournament tonight through Thursday, so I'd rather not have to work at night after we get home. I'm worried about him, as he hasn't gotten to play much lately. Maybe he'll get more of a chance tonight.

Amy -- sending PD for Noah's arrival.

Thank you, Marci! I hope you're continuing to feel better. Lots of :wizard: for Andrew's tournament, too!

Hi, everyone! The pictures are just adorable! I've had a great time browsing thru them all.

Survived VBS (despite BK and Davis having migraines/vomiting for a 2 days). Drove the kids to the grandparents this weekend and now DH and I are home by ourselves! Run the 10K Peachtree Rd Race Friday and have surgery on Tuesday. Today I'm studying for my nursing medication test that I need to take to go back to work.

Sending PD and hugs to all!

Hey Denise! :wave2: Sounds like you're busy, busy! Please take care!

Not a lot to show today. Bob stayed at the Inn for a day of R&R and the girls and I took the T into the city. We went to the Harbor area and ate lunch, then walked to the Boston Common and the Boston Garden. Here you go!

More great pictures! I hope you didn't dream of horrific cab rides all night!

Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? (Well, besides you Amy! ;) We know what you'll be doing! Did you pack your bag yet?)
ETA: Bob and I are going to go see Wall-e and the Incredible Hulk at the drive in on the 4th.

The bag is still only partially packed, but yesterday I:
-ran last minute errands to Target, Michaels, and Carters
-did three loads of laundry
-cleaned the half bath
-made dinner (we've been eating out a lot lately)
-caught up on thank you notes and got early July birthday cards out
-played with the Webkinz ;)
-did the Hokey Pokey a few times
-read a few books (children's books, of course!)
-talked to my grandma, SIL, and two good friends
-pretreated all the stains on the bassinet
-picked up toys
-periodically checked for new posts on the thread :)

Amy good luck with your delivery
on Fri mom will Bar-b-q Sat and Sun I will work. as the 12th is Olivia's birthday and party and then Virginia's dedication will be on the 13th

Thank you! What's the theme of Olivia's party this year?

I'm enjoying all the pictures so far..........Amy, Elin and Robyn. All the kids are so cute!

Thank you! Welcome home, Tammi!

I definitely recommend a two-day park hopper!

Thunderstorms? Sick kiddos? Insomnia?

Amy, get your bag packed already!

Doing the Hokey Pokey though does sound like more fun!:goodvibes

Leighanna wants to go bike riding today. Nice weather for it, but I don't know if I want to go. I still have the baby seat on the back of the bike if that gives any indication of the last time I rode it!

Chanon,
Nice CSR pictures!

I have my neice & nephew with me this week. The kids are having fun with their cousins. However my BIL & his wife don't call us each day to see how the kids are doing. They by-pass us & call the kids in the morning on their cell phone. Weird..we have such a strained relationship with them..but at least the kids are having a good time together.

We are going to see Wall E on Friday too.:)

I think I would be calling THEM to talk about how the kids are doing, and I think I would be snarky about it, too!
There was one time when a former boss had me watch her friend's child (totally against my will - I almost quit over it). That kid's mom called and asked to speak to him (he was 6), then she hung up after he was finished talking to her! Then the kid turned around and said "I asked her if I can have soda and she said YES!" Well, little jerk, she didn't tell ME you can have soda, so you CAN'T!

Hi Tammi! How was your trip?

Welcome home, Tammi!

I'll have to keep my eye on SWA and Airtran. Who knows, we may end up driving if the airlines keep screwing things around.

ACK! No driving! :scared:

Bob and I just had the cabride from h e l l! We finished dinner with the girls and decided we wanted to skip the "T" and take a cab. I don't think this guys knows what a speed limit or lane lines are!

Time for bed. See you all in the a.m.

Maybe he is from Vegas. The cab drivers there were quite scary.

:wizard: :wizard: To your brother!!

Morning DDA!

We got a DING for Orlando for $112 each way, which isn't much higher than what we USED to pay for non-stop on American. If we can go next summer for $224 then we'll absolutely book SW.

So, it's July! I am going to WDW NEXT MONTH! (And so are lots of other DDAers!)
