DDA Chapter 9

We'll see if Noah likes the weekend itinerary: swim lessons, touch a truck, Matty's 2-year portraits, Kings Island with Julie and family, church, neighborhood picnic...

Sounds like he'll want to join in on all that fun!

I don't think I saw what happened last time, but this also raised concerns in my mind.

Lizzy had a play date with this little girl (she's 8) last fall and came home and drew a picture of a naked man. I confronted her with the drawing and she tried to tell me that she knew how to draw it from seeing Joe naked but Joe was never circumcized. She finally admitted that this little girl showed her how to draw it. This girl lives in town but about 4 miles from us. She's a year behind Lizzy in school. Her grandmother (and her male friend) rent the house next to us in the summer. The girl spends a lot of time with the grandmother. I don't think the girl's mother works. I've only met her 2 or 3 times. I have never met the girl's father-her parents are married. Even DH hasn't seen much of the father. The grandmother has complained to me that her DD is too undisciplined with the granddaughter. Lizzy has only been to the girl's house (4 miles away) twice. Lizzy has only been alone with the grandmother 1 time for about 1/2 an hour and has NEVER been alone with her male friend.

I'd better get back to work -- the kids get out of soccer camp at 12, then we have baseball lessons and I need to run an errand for Merrie, plus we have a baseball tournament over an hour away from us this weekend. Gosh -- I hate it that it's close to a fab outlet mall...

I booked my December flights yesterday!! I used our American miles. AA is changing the fee structure next year so you have to use more points for a ticket... But I am booked! Yay!

I was feeling really sick, but it was short-lived. I slept some, and feel fine today!

I just talked to Mom. She still isn't feeling well. She said yesterday every time she stood up everything went black. Today she just feels sort of "woozy". She is going to the OB/GYN at 3 PM today, which was not an appt. she had originally but the doctor wants her to come in.
I looked up the side effects of her antibiotics and I kind of think that may be the problem. She also has not had any caffeine because the meds make her have a funny taste in her mouth (she usually drinks coffee but she says it tastes gross now), so that might be making her head feel weird, too.

I guess it is a darn good thing that the oncologist didn't schedule her until July, because it looks like it is going to take that long to get her sorted out from the surgery!

I asked her if Ms. Selfish had worked out her dates. Yes, July 11. How long is she staying? Just one night. EXCUSE ME? They are driving 9 hours to stay ONE night? So then she says they are going to OK first to see some friend. Then they are stopping by Mom's on their way to see some other friend in KC. No wonder the MIL won't watch the kids! So Ms. Selfish and the Amazing Idiot Boy are taking their demon children and having a nice little road trip. Mom is a complete afterthought for them. Nice. Why does this even surprise me?

Deep breath. Patience and peace. Patience and peace. Patience and peace! Patienceandpeace! PATIENCE AND PEACE RIGHT NOW, GOSH DARN IT!!!

Hope you're mom can get some answers from the dr today and is feeling better soon!

So let me know when anyone sees Wall.E... I want to know what you think! Kyle liked it a lot. I thought the story was very mediocre, but the characters were phenomenal! It's definitely very different from any other Pixar movies!
