DDA Chapter 9

I never told you guys about one of the t-shirt disaster we had....

I had the bright idea of dyeing white shirts to whatever color I wanted.....what a disaster....with the intense heat, sweat, water from splash mountain etc....all 5 of us were orange from neck to waist!! it was horrible. Plus, with the above conditions, the transfers themselves started to run....so we also had splotches of blank ink all over as well. This is why we didn't wear the normal matching garb for most of the trip.

:rotfl: That sounds like something that would happen to me! Laura doesn't think we should do matching shirts this trip...I'm thinking differently. :rotfl:

Cool! I am glad she is excited!
So on Day 3 of your road trip you can swing by and meet my mom if you want. ;)

KC was originally a planned stop for us. Then I decided that I really wanted to go through CO instead of NE, so we need to get a little further that day.

Since someone mentioned the Nick themed ship, here's a new ship by RCCL that's coming out in 2009.

WOW!!!

how about keeping it the way it is now...you won't see everything but you will see a lot...then you won't be stressing (about the hotels, at least).
I think you are right on that.

oh but I can call you....hee hee!!
Since we'll be in the National Parks for that day and the next 3, so we probably won't have cell service either. I'll give you my number, and you can leave me a message if we don't have service. ::yes::

See, Beth! All will work out!
It will!

Mom just finished her Dr. appointment. She said the surgeon thinks the fatigue was from the infection, so her energy should pick up as she gets over the infection. She said she is still tired today, but not as bad as yesterday. She's driving, but Diva is with her so that's something. Hopefully if she falls asleep at the wheel either Diva will grab it or she will shout and wake Mom up!

Diva told me Ms. Selfish is planning to go up there at the end of July. I was pleased, until Diva said it is the whole Selfish family, NOT just my sister. Mom does NOT need 2 undisciplined toddlers running around right after her first chemo infusion! :furious: Diva wasn't entirely sure which week Ms. Selfish was planning for, so I suppose they could go before her first chemo. But they will probably time it to show up right when Mom is feeling horrible. :headache:

Continued pixiedust: for your mom! Maybe I should drop by and show Diva Girl how kids are supposed to behave. (Assuming they are still behaving by then!)

Wow! I guess I better keep this in mind ::yes:: Do they say how often this should be done?

PLEASE CONSIDER GETTING YOUR DUCTWORK CLEANED IN YOUR HOME. This is just plain nasty. Mind you, this has probably NEVER been done in this house, so this could be 40 years worth of buildup. We have a 1500 sq.ft. house and it's only costing us $349. Well worth a dust/mold/more energy efficient home.

End of rant.

So glad to hear this Glynis!

Just talked to the doctor and it seems that all is well. So, I can stop worrying and just be. Thanks for all your well wishes and pixie dust. I need all that I can get!

I scrubbed the tub and toilet. I HATE that job. The only thing left in the bathroom is the floors and mirrors. I need to run a couple of errands as soon as Chris gets home. I want to get Colby started on his meds tonight.

I hate those jobs, too!!! I trained the twins to scrub the toilets. They think it's fun!!!

Jacob does the tub. Not well, but at least it gets done, and I'm ok with it not being perfect (unless company is coming).

:woohoo:

Soooo...

Our waitlisted night at AKV came through. Now we are only staying at the Poly for 2 nights. DH is kind of irked that it is such a short stay, but we agree that we don't want to add 2 more cash nights to the SSR ressie. We're out of points. Hmm. I guess we'll just keep the Poly and keep the unpacking to a minimum. We have the fishing excursion and a couple of breakfast ressies for the Poly so it will be kind of nice to stay there.

It's just too bad that you couldn't make a jog from Colorado to Utah. Then I could tell you in person! How's that for throwing a wrench in your planning works.

I'm still waiting for some DDA to take me up on the offer of a real pioneer meal cooked in Dutch ovens over an open fire. That's got to tempt someone!!!

Aw how cute!

Glad to hear the cramping is going away.

Well the leg cramps got a little better last night, but my leg muscles are so sore. My muscles feel like I did about 200 leg squats. I am heading to the store for bananas. We usually have them on hand, but Leighanna had the last one for breakfast yesterday, and I didn't get a chance to get to the store. Apparently if you eat a banana every day, it helps with leg cramps. I just hate getting old!:scared1:

Here is a picture of Leighanna's toothless grin. :hyper:

Sounds like a fun trip Beth!

I've been busy working on more of my trip itinerary (for out West, not WDW...I need to get started on that, too). I think I have a lot of it set, but there is always more to do. Time is moving awfully fast right now, and next week will be worse, since I'll be working at Nationals for synchro most days.

Here is the condensed version:

Day 1 - Home to Dayton, OH
Day 2 mid-afternoon - Day 3 early afternoon - St. Louis
Day 3 - Topeka, KS
Day 4 -late afternoon - Day 5 early afternoon - Colorado Springs/Denver
Day 5 - Casper, WY
Day 6 - Grand Tetons National Park
Day 7-9 Yellowstone National Park
Day 10- Keystone, SD (Mount Rushmore)
Day 11 - Badlands (staying about 1 hour east in Murdo, SD)
Day 12 - Winona, MN or Olaska, WI
Dat 13 - Chicago (Rosemont)- spending most of 7/30 in Chicago
Day 14 - Toledo
Day 15 - HOME

Just talked to my dad, and he has some exciting Disney news. He's booked our family trip to Disneyland for the first week of June 2009. Peanut will be almost 6 months old, so that will be eminently doable! I'm so excited!!! Haven't told the kids yet, as they will immediately want a countdown calendar!

Even better, Alan mentioned that he wouldn't be against a winter trip to WDW with our little family. I'm hoping that we can use our tax return next year to put a deposit down on a trip for late 2009 or early 2010. What do y'all think? When's the best time? I know the marathon weekend is in early January, but we could probably work to avoid that (unless I'm up to doing the half again!). Oh, the thoughts that are working their way through my head right now!!! I'll be having Disney dreams tonight!

letting yall know dad goes in surgery tomorrow at 7 am and its a 2-3 hr surgery. if i can get to a computer i will update if not it will have to wait till Sunday we have to move out of the house while they paint and stain the cabinets so i will chat with yall later.

I really, really, really want to do Utah. That, along with the plans to make it all the way to Disneyland, had to be scrapped due to time and money. Oh, I wish we had unlimited time and money. ::yes::

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

(our next trip is in 2010....but early summer...graduation trip you know)

Glynis :cool1: for upcoming Disney trips!

Karen :wizard: for your dad's surgery tomorrow!

Kristine glad you were able to meet up with Marci. Sorry to hear about the t-shirt mishap.

the onsies do look wonderful with the background. The girls are beautiful and don't have that newborn look. We all think our babies are the cutest ever, but you may be right with these two :thumbsup2

Well, we like them! :teeth: I kept saying in the hospital, "The nurses sound genuine when they say they are really cute babies. I can't tell if they're telling the truth or it's just a mother-baby nurse line, but I of course think they are the best! :)"

I mostly am still beyond impressed with the photographers skills!
