DDA Chapter 9

Those are both long driving days for us, so may need a break.

We always love mail!

I need to think about WDW tickets, too! Now that Laura knows, I think I'm set...we'll need 10-day with hopping and water parks. I was waiting to talk to her about water parks (though I could have figured the answer) and to make sure that we didn't want to switch to a package with DDP. Definitely room only plus tickets. Do you sell 10 days? The AAA magazine only lists up through 7 day.
Sent email!

I met Marci for lunch today....we had such a good time.....2 hours just flew by!! I was sad to see her go.

So cool! I always love to meet other DDA.:thumbsup2

I was channeling you at lunchtime. Terry asked, what is on your shirt? I looked down and there was a blue hue on my black shirt. I thought back and figured it was toner from her printer!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

So anyway, I have the signature Kristine blue b@@bs.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl:it's the "in" style ya know!!

I never told you guys about one of the t-shirt disaster we had....

I had the bright idea of dyeing white shirts to whatever color I wanted.....what a disaster....with the intense heat, sweat, water from splash mountain etc....all 5 of us were orange from neck to waist!! it was horrible. Plus, with the above conditions, the transfers themselves started to run....so we also had splotches of blank ink all over as well. This is why we didn't wear the normal matching garb for most of the trip.

I was able to get Colby an appointment this morning. It seems that one of his molluscum lesions became infected so he has a bit of cellulitus under his knee. She said that normally she would just treat it with hot compresses and gentle pressure, but since we're going on vacation she gave me an antibiotic prescription. Of course our pharmacy didn't have it in stock and I didn't have his insurance cards with me as they are in the camper so I need to run out tonight to fill the prescription. Hopefully it will do the trick. We are doing hot compresses too, but there is no drainage yet. We also found out while we were there that what we thought was poison ivy on Summer's hand is actually her first outbreak of molluscum. So now she has a couple of years of outbreaks to look forward to :headache:

I came home and got Nick's room completely cleaned and went out mowed the rest of the lawn. Chris did all the trim and push mowing last night so I just had to ride the riding mower for 1 1/2 hours. At least it is done now. tonight we will finish up the housework and begin packing the back of the truck. By the time Chris gets home from work tomorrow I hope to be completely ready.

Big hugs for Colby.

You are going to have such a great time. I acn't wait to hear all about it. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'm actually feeling ok. I sent Alan out to get me a diet coke, not the caffeine free stuff I've been drinking, and I've felt a couple of small movements. Seems peanut likes the caffeine. So, I'm just taking it easy with my feet up today. The nurse told me to come in at any time and she'll drop what she's doing and look for the heartbeat. So, I'll just take it easy and see how I feel in the morning.

Thanks for the concern, Elizabeth! It means a lot to me!

Good! I am glad to hear that! We used to press a flashlight against my belly to annoy DS. :rotfl:

She was (and still is) thrilled! We are having fun giving each other knowing glances, since Miles still doesn't know. She thinks we should tell him when we get back from the other trip. We'll be about 2 weeks out at that time. Then we can still put together a few shirts, etc. and he can have the fun of being surprised and knowing.

Cool! I am glad she is excited!
So on Day 3 of your road trip you can swing by and meet my mom if you want. ;)

You should come to Dallas sometime, Kristine. :)

Since someone mentioned the Nick themed ship, here's a new ship by RCCL that's coming out in 2009.

The Aqua Theatre at the end of the Boardwalk:

...and yes, that is a zipline above the merry go round...

Because of the improbability of being able to switch out the National Parks reservations at this late date, I would have to leave from home one day earlier. That would also put me in St. Louis on a Thursday-Friday instead of Friday-Saturday which might be better. I don't want to cause any extra headaches for my mother, though. I wish I had that reservation myself.

how about keeping it the way it is now...you won't see everything but you will see a lot...then you won't be stressing (about the hotels, at least).

Thanks! Any idea if the Manitou Cliff Dwellings are worth doing? I'm trying to remember what else I had on that list.

hmmmm.....that's one we haven't done...I will check for you. Other than Jim we've all seen the cliff dwellings around Durango so I am not sure it would be a good one for my family.

oh my!! That had to have been a sight...any pictures??:happytv:

Has anyone tried the pasta dishes from Pizza Hut? I'm wondering if it would be good cold while we're travelling? I'm thinking cold pizza and cold pasta instead of just sandwiches.

We tried the pasta dishes from Pizza Hut. They were okay. Nothing to write home about. I just can't imagine eating them cold though.

not a problem,
just remember that you are also several lbs lighter then you were last time you got pregnant:)

That's true! Things are so much different this time around! Crazy! You'd think with 3 pregnancies under my belt, I'd be a pro at this, but I'm even more crazy than before!

Deb...

I forgot tot tell you...I swear I saw your friend (it's AR right?) at DS....she was a photopass photographer. I was going to go up to her...but the line was too long and the kids were grumpy.

It was probably her. She is a currently a photopass photog at Hollywood Studios. She is hoping to be one of the private photopass photographers at one of the resorts

I'm waiting for that one! It's done at 20 weeks here, so I've got a bit. It's scheduled for July 22nd.

You will feel much better once that one is under your belt. :goodvibes

I scrubbed the tub and toilet. I HATE that job. The only thing left in the bathroom is the floors and mirrors. I need to run a couple of errands as soon as Chris gets home. I want to get Colby started on his meds tonight.
