DDA Chapter 9

I'm actually feeling ok. I sent Alan out to get me a diet coke, not the caffeine free stuff I've been drinking, and I've felt a couple of small movements. Seems peanut likes the caffeine. So, I'm just taking it easy with my feet up today. The nurse told me to come in at any time and she'll drop what she's doing and look for the heartbeat. So, I'll just take it easy and see how I feel in the morning.

Thanks for the concern, Elizabeth! It means a lot to me!

I am glad Elizabeth asked...because I was thinking the same thing.

Glad you've got a great nurse on your side Glynis!!

Funny, my kids told me about the new cruise ship. I haven't looked into it though as it would be blasphamy!!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: Congrats on the new car!!!

:

Thanks! I actually did look at the new ship. :duck: :duck:

Glynis, glad that the diet coke seems to have helped.

Tom, great picture. Leighanna is so cute. :goodvibes

 Hi, all! I have been following along for the most part.

Glynis, I hope that baby starts moving around a lot to put your mind at ease.

 Elizabeth, I am glad that you are back at home, and I hope that your mom only improves from here on out.

Stephanie, CONGRATS on Wolfie!

I know that I've read more, but my brain seems to have ceased functioning for the moment.

I've been busy working on more of my trip itinerary (for out West, not WDW...I need to get started on that, too). I think I have a lot of it set, but there is always more to do. Time is moving awfully fast right now, and next week will be worse, since I'll be working at Nationals for synchro most days.

Here is the condensed version:

Day 1 - Home to Dayton, OH
Day 2 mid-afternoon - Day 3 early afternoon - St. Louis
Day 3 - Topeka, KS
Day 4 -late afternoon - Day 5 early afternoon - Colorado Springs/Denver
Day 5 - Casper, WY
Day 6 - Grand Tetons National Park
Day 7-9 Yellowstone National Park
Day 10- Keystone, SD (Mount Rushmore)
Day 11 - Badlands (staying about 1 hour east in Murdo, SD)
Day 12 - Winona, MN or Olaska, WI
Dat 13 - Chicago (Rosemont)- spending most of 7/30 in Chicago
Day 14 - Toledo
Day 15 - HOME

No orange juice, but diet coke seems to have done the trick!

great,
really anything with sugar nd cold usually works. That is what we do when we are trying to get reactive NST's and the peanuts are not cooperating.

looks great Beth,
What was Laura's reaction to the WDW trip?

She was (and still is) thrilled! We are having fun giving each other knowing glances, since Miles still doesn't know. She thinks we should tell him when we get back from the other trip. We'll be about 2 weeks out at that time. Then we can still put together a few shirts, etc. and he can have the fun of being surprised and knowing.

Just talked to the doctor and it seems that all is well. So, I can stop worrying and just be. Thanks for all your well wishes and pixie dust. I need all that I can get!
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :dance3: :dance3:

sounds great

I know I keep saying this, but I'm sorry I've missed replying to so many posts lately. I wish the best for everyone, I just get caught up in RL way too much.

So after the wake I came home and was cleaning the kitchen, and I through in a load of laundry. Well I ended up bailing water and plunging for almost two hours. Looks like I'll be calling the plumber tomorrow.

Oh Noooooo. I hope it was easily remedied.:wizard:

It's nice to be back on line and chatting with you all.

I've been a bit nervous lately, as I feel like there might be something wrong with my pregnancy. I began feeling the baby move while in London. Not a lot, and not every day. When I was with my parents, the same thing. However, I haven't felt any movement since we got home Sunday night. I'm trying not to worry myself into miscarriage, but it's getting harder. Alan is not here, either. It's primary election day here, and he's covering the results. So, I'm alone, trying not to worry.

I think I'll give my doctor a call in the morning and see if I can come in. I have an appointment on the 2nd of July, but I really need to put my mind at ease about this. I guess I'm on edge because of the miscarriage last summer. I really think that would devastate me at this point.

Since it looks like I'm the only one around, I'll finish uploading my photos and work on my trip report.

  I think after a miscarriage we all tend to be extra nervous. I know that I was. I think I finally allowed myself to relax at about 18 weeks when we had the ultrasound that said it was a "he".

Deb, Chris and family,
Have a safe drive and flights. Have a great trip and stay healthy and safe.
Can't wait to see pics and read all about your trip

Thank you. We certainly hope to.

I am exhausted so I am not commenting on much, but Debbie, I am so very sorry! How truly horrible!! :(

I was able to get on an earlier flight so I made it into the car by 9:45 PM instead of still being in KC waiting to take off at 9:45. It was a flight that was supposed to go at 6:45 but when I walked up at 7:40 they were just starting to board. I feel bad for the delayed people, but it sure worked well for me!

We got our ME tags today. It seems like that ticker is going faster now that I have my mom to worry about. :worried:

I'm going to bed now. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Oh, and Glynis, I hope everything is OK!! :wizard:

I'm glad you're home.

Debbie, lots of hugs and prayers to get you out of your funk! I can't believe the things that happen. I guess I have every right to be as overprotective of Leighanna as I am.

Elizabeth, glad to see you made it home. :cool1: on getting your ME tags.

Glyinis, glad to see you posting! We have missed you! Lots of prayers to you that peanut holds on!

Leighanna lost one of her front teeth tonight. She is so funny! She was talking and surprising herself with how she sounded. Her new favorite word to say is Thursday! Or should I say "srursday"! I need to get a picture of her. She looks different, but still cute in a "redneck" sort of way!

I am having severe leg cramps and I am afraid to go to sleep! Must be from working out in the yard and pulling weeds on my hands and knees!

I get leg and foot cramps all the time. they suck.

***PSA***
Here's what I've been doing this morning. :headache: This is the top of the back of the truck that is here to clean the ducts in the house.
ductcleaning001.jpg

Looks interesting huh? It's also the loudest freakin vaccuum that I've ever heard and my ears are going to be ringing for the next few days. The guy hooked up this huge hose to my furnace and it basically sucks everything that shouldn't be in the ducts from the ducts. Make sense?
If you really want to be brave - this is what one of our ducts look like. It's all DUST. This is a cold air intake that is in plain sight, but with the cover off.
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f91/yellowfish78/ductcleaning.jpg

PLEASE CONSIDER GETTING YOUR DUCTWORK CLEANED IN YOUR HOME. This is just plain nasty. Mind you, this has probably NEVER been done in this house, so this could be 40 years worth of buildup. We have a 1500 sq.ft. house and it's only costing us $349. Well worth a dust/mold/more energy efficient home.

End of rant.

Ewwwwww. We don't have any duct work here :cool1:

Just talked to the doctor and it seems that all is well. So, I can stop worrying and just be. Thanks for all your well wishes and pixie dust. I need all that I can get!

:wizard: :wizard:

Well the leg cramps got a little better last night, but my leg muscles are so sore. My muscles feel like I did about 200 leg squats. I am heading to the store for bananas. We usually have them on hand, but Leighanna had the last one for breakfast yesterday, and I didn't get a chance to get to the store. Apparently if you eat a banana every day, it helps with leg cramps. I just hate getting old!:scared1:

Here is a picture of Leighanna's toothless grin. :hyper:
toothlesssmile-1.jpg

I had no idea about the bananas. I'll be giving that a try :thumbsup2

Leighanna looks very cute and NOT in a redneck way

woo hoo!! Love that one!!You all are going to have so much fun.

I still haven't figured out exactly what we are doing on those days yet. I think Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak the first day. The second day there is so much that looks like fun, and I don't know how much we'll be able to fit in.

I saw that Cheyenne Frontier Days are during that week. Do you know if it will be difficult to get through? Should we try to squeeze in anything in that area? There just isn't enough time!!!

I wish I had stuck an extra day in there, but I can't rearrange everything now...or can I? Maybe I'll look at that. It would mean switching three hotels (one of which my mother reserved on her Marriott points). An extra night in CO Springs would be great.

Beth

Beth...maybe you guys can stop at Gino's East for Pizza..(they have chicago style cheesecake too)
