Hi everyone-
I am officially home! I am uploading soem pictures now, but i know i wont get my trip report started tonight.

Heres my adventure fo the day---We land about a half hour early--Pilot comes on and says we will be awhile because of a weapon on aonther plane! We never heard if it ended up being anything, but we were on the plane for an hour--it was crazy! but i am home

Hi all! I hope you all are doing well! I've been trying to stay busy, despite the circumstances. It's June, though, so we've been telling the girls they can come at any time! My restrictions are lifted a bit too, which is another reason I'm not around -- I'm actually allowed DOING some things throughout the day!

I thought I'd share another picture, I can't remember us ever having a picture made with just the three of us so this is a rare shot. The coordinating colors was purely coincidental.

Well, I got home around 1pm today. I stopped at mom's last night. I haven't posted about her recent plans because she didn't want anyone to know until she had done it. I doubt anyone I know ever reads this but didn't want to take the chance.

Mom retired from the state yesterday. She is going on an "extended visit" to my sister's for the summer. She has really been struggling with whether she should retire. She is too much like me and needs to stay busy. When she is home alone, she doesn't get much done and that leads to depression.

If dad were still alive, it would be very different. She would have retired 10 years ago (less than a year after him). They would be travelling the states. Oh well, I guess things don't work out as we always hope. It is just so sad because they spent their lives planning for retirement. They saved and scrimped so that they would have a great retirement and then never got to enjoy any of it as dad died 6 months after he retired and several months before mom was due to retire.

Congratulations to your mom, even though it is bittersweet. I'm sure it will be good for your sister and the kids.

I find that incomplete painting and some baseboard removed does wonders for an appraisal being lowered

It seems I'm here alone again. It was a very long and exhausting day.

After I logged off last night I heard sirens and saw flashing lights. I investigated and found the emergency rescue squad parked in the street in front of our house. There was an ambulance, rescue truck, fire truck and several cars. All the men had flashlights and were searching the bushes along the road. After several minutes of watching out the window I woke Chris up. We were both baffled. We finally saw them grab a back board and head down over the hill into the bushes/woods. We couldn't stand the wondering any longer and went outside to investigate. The finally came up with a man strapped to the board. They put him in the ambulance and spent a long time working on him. One of the firefighters that we know came over. He said that they had received a 911 call that brought them to the general area. The man was non responsive, but had left the phone connected so they could hear the sirens at the dispatch station and knew where to stop the ambulance. They they could hear the firefighters yelling which finally helped them locate the man. He was non responsive and no one knew where he had come from or what had happened. Needless to say we went to bed baffled. We learned today that the man had gotten drunk and was apparently walking on the road when he needed to pee. He walked into the bushes not knowing that it was a steep embankment and fell. He couldn't get up so he called 911 before he passed out Very strange indeed. So we finally came in at 1 AM.

Isn't that ridiculous. Here you are worried that someone was seriously hurt, and it was just some dumb drunk.

Jennifer, I just read about your PUPP in your blog, you poor thing. I have eczema, which compared to what your going through is very mild but I can totally relate to your inability not to scratch even though it makes things worse. Hang in there, you've done a great job so far and soon you'll be bringing home two beautiful healthy baby girls because of it.

We are in Waco. The team won a game, lost a game, and tied. We'll play tomorrow at 10:30. Andrew played all of the second and third games today and did well. Sending PD out to al of those who need it.

Jennifer - Glad to hear things are still going well! Maybe the girls will make their debut soon!

Elin - I hope the recitals go well!

Marci - I hope the games go well today! DS has never gotten into HSM. We talked about Hairspray, so I might look into that. There were 2 kids in front of us yesterday. The mom and dad were sitting in another section, way off apart from the kids and those kids did NOT behave well enough to be unsupervised! The mom was lucky that DS and I left as soon as the show ended so we wouldn't be stuck in traffic. I would have been happy to tell her that her childen need an ADULT to sit with them next time.

Jen - Welcome home!

Laundry and groceries for me today. Yay.
DS and I were gone for almost four hours yesterday, and DH was off. He washed ONE load of towels and left them in the washer. Wow, how did I end up with such a HELPFUL DH?

Thanks. It's pretty ridiculous.... this pregnancy has been no cakewalk, that's for sure, but this is by far the worst. I just hope it goes away a week or two after delivery as it's supposed to. Some people keep it for a month or two!
