I can do any weekday too. I'm thinking we would take the VRE in, so I don't have to fight traffic. The kids will be out of school and I will be on vacation!

Hope we can work something out!! I think all the kiddos would have a fabulous time.

cruddy (I am trying to use a little less pain med and it's not working!! So I just upped it back)and zip on the resumes:confused3

:wizard: for your wrist and the calls to start coming in.

Hope you have a wonderful evening Robyn!

We did!! I'll post a few pics in a bit.

DH won a bid for a route today. :thumbsup2 He will finish out his current term in the "specialist" position, then he can decide if he wants to go to his route or keep being a specialist. Which is odd to me. If he keeps being a specialist then somebody will have to cover that route. But the program is structured to allow the guys to win a route and have that route held for them until they decide they don't want to be specialists anymore. Weird.

:woohoo: for DH!!

If I was a travel agent I would sit and think about the clients plans. Then I would think of something better, so I would switch it. So I would have to call and tell them I switched it. Then I would think of something better than that. And by about the 5th change they would be so confused they wouldn't have any clue where they were staying or where they were eating or anything else, and they would tell me they don't want my help! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Definitely not a career for you!

COOL!!!!!

I never realized (or have forgotten-my memory is lousy lately) how close in age Kirsten was to Lizzy and Anne Marie's Daniel and Beth's Myles-they must all be within a month.

I think Emma and Tammi's Nicholas are right in there too, just at the tail end of the year.

Marci - Sounds like you caught the "blahs" I had last week! I hope all goes well this weekend and that you are feeling better soon![/QUOTE

Ditto!

Karen, I hope your dad's procedure goes well and that you can reschedule the cruise! I will keep July 11 in mind. I will have to work until about 6 PM, but I should be free in the evening unless I have to go out of town to see my mom.

Ditto!
I hope the girls are feeling better.
The cakes look awesome. Are the letters cut out of fondant?

Thanks, and yes the letters are fondant.

It's nearly midnight and I'm finally caught up. I didn't find time to check in at all today. The good news is that I finished painting the walls :goodvibes I still have trim and ceiling touch up to conquer, but the incredibly stressful walls are done. Tomorrow we plan to finish laying the flooring. things finally seem to be coming together. I can see tiny light at the end of the tunnel

Can't wait to see some pics!

Pixie dust for Rachel. Have a great trip Tia...:woohoo:

Lovely cakes Robyn.:dance3:

Well, I've got to get to bed. I'm finished the laundry and now I've got to get some sleep so I can vacation.....:hippie:

Tia, I'm dittoing Steffy for Rachel. Hope she is feeling better.

Thanks Steffy!

Enjoy your vacation!

Hi everyone-

I wholeheartedly agree and I'll add a hubba hubba!!!

Thanks guys!

So to all my fellow cruisers, do any of you also feel the motion of the ship for a couple of days after leaving the cruise? This is 3 for 3 for me.

so ends my typing ability until some pain meds get in my system. :thumbsup2

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Lot's of PD :wizard: to all the kiddo's who aren't feeling up to par

I had better get off of here for a while and start tackling the laundry pile,
(I'll be careful Theresa) DH is getting a start on the yard and I only have one more suitcase to unpack.

Have a great weekend!

Have fun, Kristine!!

Debbie, you look absolutely incredible! You and your DD could be sisters!

I have one of those laundry mountains in my hallway, but just dragging the laundry out to the hallway from all over the rest of the house made me tired! :rotfl2:
I have been trying to see what DS has in his closet and what he might still need for the trip. I just discovered that 7 pairs of his shorts don't fit anymore - they are ones I bought on clearance at Talbot's last year, all the same size and style but different colors. :headache: The size 8 from J. Crew still fit but the ones I just got from Target are size 12. I guess that goes back to the rule that more expensive clothes run bigger. I guess it's a good thing we plan to do at least a little bit of laundry at WDW because there is no telling what else won't fit by the time we leave. He hasn't even grown that much, but I guess his shape has changed a little bit.

My day just got better! I've been so worried about luggage lately - I know, stupid worry - but I could never get the same answer from CO..one bag or two?? It was my goal today to find out the absolute answer. Started off by reading CO's Contract of Carraige. :faint: It stated ONE bag, but no date restrictions. Then I noticed that CO has a TA website. I found it there!!! (And it's now printed and attached to my tickets!) It actually states "for customers who purchased tickets prior to April 5, 2008 - 2 Checked Bags"

...and now back to your scheduled programming!

Good Morning DDA,

We're back and relaxed after enjoying the beautiful waters of Mexico,

th_taras115.jpg

I probably won't be doing a trip report as this was a very low key trip. I do have to warn anyone cruising that is watching their weight, it is tough, I have to admit that I came back with an additional 4.5 lbs, so now I have that to take off before I can get to working on my next goal.:worried:

That looks like a little slice of relaxation heaven, Debbie! I am glad you all had a great time and I know those extra pounds will come off with all your hard work!

I'd like to find something like that for AirTran, we purchased our November flight long before they changed the rules.

Thanks Elin, although I'm having a "hungry" day today.

I need to buy graduation gifts for my three students are having their Senior Recital tomorrow afternoon. In the past I have given Cross pen & pencil sets and have also done sterling silver bracelets. I feel as if these 3 students just won't appreciate either of those gifts and am really stumped. I thought of trying to find something uniquely "Fredericksburg" because I doubt that any of them will return here when they are done with college and grad/med school. But even that is "iffy."

Any thoughts??

Even though they are a bit impersonal gift cards are alway a perfect fit, especially the credit card ones that can be used anywhere. For girls I am a big fan of picture frames, those can also be engraved. My daughters both took lots of pictures with them for their dorm rooms.

Aidan Update:

May 31, 2008 at 07:32 AM CDT
Thought I had posted that all went well, but guess not. They removed a small piece of scar tissue and found out that he has neither Bronchial nor Tracheal Malaise. It's another form near his voice box that can be corrected with a simple surgery. This will be performed in a few months due to his need to take an anti reflux medication to protect his throat after surgery.

So it’s good bad news. Since he doesn’t have the first two forms we aren’t looking at years of having the trach, but since he hasn’t been on the medication yet, the soonest they can perform surgery is August and they don’t like removing trachs after September due to RSV season. So it looks like recover and such will put us till March.

But hey what a wonderful Birthday Gift that would be. Sleep for the parents.

I had thought of picture frames too, Debbie. And gift cards... but I don't want to do gift cards. This needs to be somewhat personal, I guess. I have taught these young people since they were anywhere from 4-6 years old. They actually have told me that they don't remember when I was not in their lives. :goodvibes So, you see my problem.

The perfect gift would have something to do with music too! :confused3

Robyn - Cute pics!!

Elin - Sorry, no clue. I have a silver charm bracelet from a former employer that I NEVER wear, but I wear the watch from Brother & Sister all the time. One of my high school teachers gave me a little pair of earrings when I graduated - I still have them. :)

do you have pictures of them from their first year with you that you could put in frames??

How about a piano keychain?? I've seen them around here.

How about framing one of your favorite pieces that they have played??

that's all I've got right this minute
