Hello, All! Just a pop in to say hi! I don't have time to catch up. Things are going pretty well. DS is having a good time, although he wasn't feeling well for awhile yesterday. He is fine now. I'll chat with you all when I get home. :)

What a beautiful day here...70's, sunny, & the birds are still chirping.

We did alot of yard work today so we never made it to the beach but the flowers look good. The kids helped too.:goodvibes

We had a semi-BBQ..I cooked burgers & dawgs on my George Forman. Made some corn on the cob & beans to go with it..yummy!

Time for a movie..I think we are watching Indy.
Mmm....I'm ready for corn on the cob.

You all were chatty last night and today!

Last night a pile of clothes and I had a fight...the clothes won and I am sore all over (it wasn't fair the clothes got the litter pail involved...so it was 2 on 1) and I think I've sprained my left wrist which is really hard for this left hander. I have told Jim if it isn't any better tomorrow he has permission to take me to the urgent care (I hate medical professionals...not personally I just hate being in need).

Since I've caught up (for now) I better get off.

I hope when you wake up your wrist is healed and the laundry is done! ;)

Hi Deb and Elizabeth.

Well our evening was wonderful, as usual. Elin, her DD and DD's friend and I went to the Melting Pot for fondue and chocolate. Scrumptious! :rotfl:

I took the kids to the pool today for about an hour. With all of the crappy weather that we have had, the water was freezing! But I think it's a right of passage for anyone under 16 to go to the pool Memorial Day weekend, no matter how cold it is. It's hard to see our babies grow up, but there is one bright side to it. I no longer have to get in the water with them if I don't want to!!!!!!!

Deb - I would worry if DS was traveling separately. But your boys will have an adult with them, and they will be fine! :thumbsup2

Jen - Are you too excited to sleep? I took a little nap on the couch and now I am wide awake.

There will be 4 adults with the 4 children. Everything should go very smoothly

I was just burning CD's of our pictures so that if anything happens to my computer we don't lose the pictures. I found this one and wanted to post.

Nice shirts ;)

Gary is making such great progress with our home, I am so pleased with everything & all the kudos goes to him. All I have done is help pick out colors, furniture, ect.

Our new end tables & lamps arrived a couple of days ago & they look perfect in our living room. Gary made a small table for the dining room & he tiled the top. It turned out really nice. He was able to find 2 bar stool chairs that have the same color/cushions as our dining room table chairs :thumbsup2

He painted the dining room 2 colors & got the trim put up that divides the color, it looks so nice & different from our plain white walls. The door in our living room that went into the foyer is no more & that is going to take some getting use to lol It gives the living room a totally different feel.

He went to Menard's today to buy a couple of things & came home with a new door for the bathroom(It was marked 50% off because of a few blemishes, but it is solid wood & will not be noticeable once it is stained)& flooring for our living room that he saved $50 on :cool1:

Our home is looking so different & I am loving it!

I'm glad your house is coming together. I know how much work Gary has put into these improvements. I know all too well :sad2:

Yikes! Hang in there Lindsay. I sure hope everything is okay. Kidney stones are horrible!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I agree. Kidney stones suck, but once they pass the relief is almost immediate. It will be good to follow up before your trip though. I think Kauai would make a wonderful destination to recover.:wizard:

Glynis Happy Anniversary :cool1: :goodvibes :cool1: :goodvibes

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling much better though Nick and Hunter now seem to have the dizziness and they both have nasty colds.

Sorry about the wrist, Theresa, but I like your comedic take on the situation. :rotfl: I hope it is feeling better tomorrow so you can avoid urgent care. :wizard:

Well, the reception started out nicely. I went early to my SIL's house (where the reception was) to help set up. We had a great chat, and really enjoyed ourselves. At about 6:00, we started the chocolate fountains, and began cutting up apples, bananas, etc. We also had bite size rice crispy treats, pretzel sticks, graham cracker sticks, cinnamon bears, brownie bits and strawberries for dipping.

Guests started showing up and it was really nice. MIL did show up (without her current husband). She spoke only when it was necessary, and then left very early. Oh well. At least she wasn't nasty.

After the reception, all of Alan's siblings stayed to help clean up, and we discussed the situation. Nothing new came out of it, but it was really cathartic for everyone to talk it all through.

It's a chilly day here, so I made my pot roast, Alan is making sticky rice, and we'll also have green beans for dinner. After dinner, we're going to visit cemeteries in our area to lay flowers on Alan's grandparent's graves, his father's grave, my aunt's grave, and our niece Carrisa's grave. It should be a nice activity. We'll wash and clean off the headstones, and make it a nice family day. When we get home, we'll have brownies and ice cream while we watch a movie. Not sure what we'll watch, but I'm hoping for POC3. We'll see.

I won't be around tomorrow, as we are leaving very early in the morning to drive 2 hours north to the cemetery where my grandparents are buried. We'll take care of the graves, and then meet up with our best friends and their kids. Their kids and our kids will play together while Bryce, Peggy, Alan and I go out for the rest of the day. It's mine and Alan's 18th anniversary, so Bryce and Peggy want to make it special. It should be fun!

I'll check in when we get back. Not to mention later on today!

Happy Anniversary Glynis and Alan. Many more years than 18 years double, triple!!!!!!

Thanks so much for that. Your day sounded wonderful!

If you wear Croc flip flops, which ones do you have? Shoebuy has 20% off & I am thinking of trying a pair.

I have 2 pairs, the Athens and the Cleo. I actually have 2 pairs of the Athens but I hate the 2nd one. I don't know if it's because they are not broken in or what but I don't like them. I always try to wear them but never make it out the front door. The first pair are the ones I generally wear everywhere, they really need to find the trash can. The Cleo's now that I am use to them I love them. It took me about a week to feel comfortable in them, it felt like my foot kept falling out of the top.

Deb glad to hear you are feeling better. :wizard: for the boys!

Tammi & Elin sounds like you had a nice evening together!

Scrumptious, indeed! :rotfl2:

I don't have the flip flops, but love my cleos. Those will be my WDW shoe this summer. I wasn't sure if I'd like them as the straps are narrow. I thought the Patras looked more comfortable. Since I couldn't find the Patras anywhere to try them on I ended up buying the Cleos. Things happen for a reason right...I love them

Bernadette. Colby got his Merrel Sandals. They do not have great arch support built in. That is fine for him as he has his orthodics anyway. They are very cute, but due to the abundance of elastic they are hard to get on and fit tightly. Not bad for a narrow foot, but his foot is not narrow. We ended up removing the insole that came with them and are just using his orthodics. Now he loves them and has no complaints. I haven't even heard that his feet are hot :cool1:

Good to see you pop in for a minute, I am so happy everything is going well Elizabeth.

Glad the kids had fun at the pool Tammi. Mmmm, cheese and chocolate fondue. Glad you and Elin enjoyed yourselves.

Deb, I hope Nick and Hunter feel better soon.

I've figured out a way to not worry about our trip. Home improvements. Now I'm so caught up in what we are doing and what we still need to get done that I don't have time to worry about anything else :thumbsup2 We've made progress though it seems slow. We worked from 9 AM - 10 PM yesterday prepping, sanding and cleaning up the mess. We also got the ceiling painted. The ceiling is not a smooth as I had hoped, but I am not a wallboard specialist so it will have to do. It is definitely much better than it was before we started. At 10 PM last night we sat down and watched Enchanted. It was not what I expected, though I'm not sure what I expected  We ended up going to bed around 11:30 and were up at 6:30 AM to get ready for the fising derby. The weather was nice though we were in the shade which was pretty cool. I wish I'd had a warmer coat. Those in the sun were hot. There was lots of fish in the pond as we could see them, they were not biting though. Last year all our kids hit their 5 fish limit at each derby. Today Nick caught 2, Hunter caught 2 and Colby caught one. Nick did get a trophy though...for the smallest fish :rotfl: He caught a 4 1/2 inch trout on his line. He was thrilled with the trophy.

After the derby we came home. I taped the ceilings/casings while Chris took a nap  Then we got the whole great room primed. My Mom came and helped and even Colby and Nick painted a bit. After dinner Chris and I painted the kitchen area with the base coat so I'm ready to do the bellagio techinque in the morning. Mom and Chris will finish the base coat then. Dad will be removing the baseboards and if I move quickly enough they can begin laying the floor into the kitchen. Have I mentioned how glad I'll be to get it all done :confused3

Thanks for the well wishes for the boys. Sudafed seems to do the trick and those 2 are staying with Grammy and Papa tonight :goodvibes
