Happy Sunday everyone!
It took me a while to catch up this morning - even with the holiday weekend upon us, you guys have been chatty! I read everything, but I am having a hard time remembering - so a huge dose of
all around!
Things are hopefully going to be a bit more "normal" here over the next couple of days, as I have so much to do before we go to Kauai on Friday. However, my holiday weekend did not start out as planned! I have been having some back pain since Thursday, but really didn't think much of it, since it was more uncomfortable than anything. It wasn't until I was driving myself home on Friday that the pain began to be unbearable. I cried all the way home, and when I got here had to have Jonathan help me get undressed and into bed. I have never had pain like this before, but it was completely immoblizing and meds, nor heat, helped it.
Fortunately, Jonathan insisted that we go to the ER yesterday morning. I'm sure many of you could see this coming....but it looks like I may have had a kidney stone, and have also been diagnosed with a kidney cyst. (They originally thought the cyst was a stone when the tech was reading the CT, but then decided it was a cyst. However, since my back pain is almost gone, it could be that I passed a small stone about the time they did the CT.)
Anyways, I am feeling so much better today. I have never been so thankful to be able to move! And I haven't had any pain meds in over 12 hours, so I really think I'm on the mend. I still need to somehow see a urologist before we leave town just to get the cyst checked out, but at least I know I should hopefully be pain free from this point forward.
Glynis and Deb (and anyone else who gets these with regularity) - oh my gosh, you deserve a medal!!!!!! Granted, I don't yet know what childbirth feels like, but I can't imagine it to be that much worse!
Now that I'm feeling better, though, I need to try to fit 3-days' worth of activities into 2, so I'm off for now. Have great Sundays, DDA!
