Elin- For air travel into Canada you currently need a passport or a Nexus card. You do not need a passport for land and sea travel into Canada until June 1, 2009.

Thanks, Becky. Well, I don't have a passport so that trip would have been out of the question. Bob and I have decided that we need to go ahead and get them done. I am wondering if Ben and his family have passports? Maybe he won't be going either! :confused3

Well, that opens a plethora of opportunities! Dinner? Drinks? Movie? All three? :rotfl2:
Sounds wonderful, but don't change any plans on my account! I need to hop in the shower. I'll check back in later, or give me a call.

Robyn - great pictures. Lucy is so adorable. I'll post some of mine later.

Well thanks for blowing my illusion of hope!! :rotfl:

What you need to do is discover things for them to do when they wake up early that are safe and don't require your assistance. Then you can sleep in a little. That is how the "stockings on the bedposts" started at my house when I was growing up. ;) I will have to think of other things my Mom and Dad came up with to keep me occupied in the mornings before they were ready to get up!

Not changing any plans.... I will think on this and call you.

Speaking of passports, I have to remember to renew mine after I come back from my cruise. As it expires in November.

I so wanna go to the Baltimore aquarium or the Camden aquarium. I have not been to either for many years.

Great pictures Robyn.

I have heard that turn around time without rushing for passports has been as little as two weeks. So if they apply now they still might be OK.

Hooray! :yay: Do you have a favorite?
\

I think #2 was the best of the "newer" ones & #6 of the "older 1977-80" ones.
Tonight we are going to watch the first Indiana Jones with the kids.

Thanks, Janet. She is a WonderWoman! She has been fighting colon cancer for decades and keeps bouncing back. When Bob got home she had just finished hanging new curtains in his old room and was cooking one of his favorite meals. It is my opinion that one reason she is so resilient is so that my FIL doesn't worry about her. She has always been a SAHM and has taken care of her five men 24/7; that is her duty and she loves it. Bob's Dad will be 91 in August and she will be 82 in December. They have been married 59 years! We are all hoping to be at their 60th wedding anniversary in April 2009. :goodvibes
Wow!!!:)

Yes, we have something like that..Wii!!!! ;)

We got to sleep until 9am this morning. I told the kids they could play til we got up & then no more for the day. (I think they got up at 7am) It's beautiful outside so we are going to do some yardwork & pop down to the beach later.

Robyn,
Nice pictures!!!

Sounds like a great day, Anne Marie! Enjoy it. :goodvibes

Robyn, all the pictures are wonderful! Lucy is getting so big! :goodvibes

Thanks. I am so sad that she is getting so big. I am working on her birthday invitations and party plans today. :sad1: :sad1:

Yesterday at the harbor I saw a set of twin baby boys and I immediately thought of you. They were adorable!

Robyn - great pictures. Lucy is so adorable. I'll post some of mine later.

Great, I realized that the one of the 5 of them playing in the water is the only one of Alyssa that I have and you can't even really see her!

Any ideas would be appreciated. Emma will read in bed for an hour or so but Miss Molly has to hit the floor running. She likes to come in to our room and turn on Playhouse Disney. I can usually get a half hour out of her that way but she insists on sittingthisclosetome!

I so wanna go to the Baltimore aquarium or the Camden aquarium. I have not been to either for many years.

Great pictures Robyn.

Come on down!! The girls would love to see you again. :goodvibes If you come before August 31st we can go to the Aquarium for free.

How did the wedding reception go last night?

Robyn,
Nice pictures!!!

Thanks, enjoy your day.

I need to get off of here and accomplish something. Eric got up, cooked breakfast and then went out and turned over the garden. He showered and just left to go get the girls and then they are off to buy some vegetable plants. I think he will kill me if I am still sitting here when he gets back.

Enjoy your days!

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Another gorgeous day here and I have already been working in my garden and cleaning up the kitchen. Kristin and I are planning to head out to the Festival in a little while and then I have to ponder what we are going to do tonight with Tammi! Make your days spectacular, everyone! :goodvibes

How did the wedding reception go last night?

Thanks for the offer. I will have to figure some dates out that might work. Are there any weekends that do not work for you?

The wedding and reception went very well. It was for 200 people and totally outdoors including the ceremony. So they can be glad that the weather was nice. Let's just say if my wedding has half of what they had I will be a happy camper. Everything was under a huge tent with large paper lanterns. They had a 15 piece band that came in from NYC. They had 4 ice sculptures. Sushi and shrimp, fruit and cheese from around the world and a wine tasting bar with 24 different kinds of wine.

They had like 8 types of beer, lots of liquor. Passed hor d'ouevers included mushroom tarts, salmon pinwheels, mini bruschetta, apricot, cream cheese, rounds, and veggie dumplins. The salad and rolls were all served. The main entree was served and that included asparagus, tomato risotto, veggie tart, mahi mahi and tomato peanut salsa, and tenderloin. Dessert was a red velvet cake and cream cheese icing with coconut gelato in a mini cup and berries.

Truly they went all out. We had about 20 staff there, plus there was about 6 bartenders, plus they had 2 wedding planners and lots of other people working all day. They had a few buses running people home.

It was after 1am when I got home from that wedding. People were going back today to help clean up. But I did not go help as I thought I might be going away.

So I have to decide what I want to do today. I would really like to stay home and do nothing. As I rarely if ever do that. But I have out of state relatives in town that are going out to dinner. I would not mind going but it is about an hour away and I know my parents talked about going to Hersheypark afterwards.

Instead I am thinking about going and buying National Treasure 2 and staying home and watching it. I have a feeling though I will be talked into going along for dinner and Hershey.

For the record, Stephanie... I was not being critical of your post, but, complimentary! You can tell people to calm down and look at things from a different perspective better than anyone else on here (with possibly the exception of Glynis :goodvibes ). I, for one, appreciate your point of view and envy your ability to make it known without hurting feelings. Don't change a thing...

I second this statement! Stephanie, don't change a thing!

We used to be able to watch cartoons on the week-ends until mom and dad got up. We loved them sleeping in. We were also able to get a bowl of cold cereal, our placemats and eat in the living room. It is the ONLY time we were EVER allowed to eat in the living room. As long as we were quiet and didn't make a mess, they let this continue. We thought it was a treat for us having them sleep in. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized it was more for them than us.

I am off to my office. I have work to do and I want to straighten up my office. I'm also doing laundry and starting my packing. The weather isn't real great here today. It was beautiful yesterday. Chuck was supposed to be gone today to help his brother but since the weather isn't nice he is staying home. I sure wish that I could get some time alone in the house. Now that Becky is in college, she is usually home during the day as most of her classes are late afternoon and she works evenings.

The wireless printer isn't working properly. I don't know what Chuck has done with it. He played with the wireless routers and since then the printer doesn't work. It is driving me crazy because it means I now have to manually connect to the network to print.
