DDA Chapter 8

Nick is feeling better as long as I keep alternating the Tylenol and motrin and he takes the sudafed every 4 hours. Otherwise he is miserable. He was able to take a nice nap while I was carting Colby all over.

Colby's last day of Preschool was today. His teacher is so unorganized that it just boggles the mind. Somehow we survived the party. They made little year books for each of the kids and each received an award. Colby received the most polite award as he always says please and thank you. I was pleased with that one :thumbsup2 They also did measurements. He grew one inch and gained 2 lbs. Now can someone explain to me why I needed to replace all his underwear which were size 4t or 4-5 to size 8 :faint: The 6s were still small on him. :confused3 It boggles the mind.

I need to be at work at 4 so my parents are coming down to watch the kids. I guess I'd better call my SIL so she knows where her kids will be.

Maybe that's where he did his growing?! :confused3 :rotfl2:

Well, Chuck called to invite me to lunch with him and the girls. I decided to go. It got me out of here and we discussed what still needed to be done before we leave. I'm actually doing pretty good. Farther ahead then I've been in the past and than I thought I was. The girls are upstairs packing their stuff now. Becky got new suitcases. They are bright pink. Shouldn't have any trouble finding those. Laundry is in progress.

For those with DVC that have stayed at OKW with washer & dryer in the room - what kind of laundry detergent do I need? I buy powder at home but thought I read somewhere that it doesn't work in the front loading. Any one help me on this one?

I'm glad to hear this. I can't tell you how much the photos and videos helped me when I lost my dad. They are a physical reminder that he was here and his memory will never fade! I love going back and looking at pictures of all my loved ones through the years.

Beth - We only have a few minutes of our wedding on video. We didn't hire a videographer, so it's just a bit of footage a cousin took for us before the battery in the camcorder died!

We have the whole thing on video, though we didn't hire anyone either. My father is (and always has been a "gadgets" man). He had an old video camera that he set up on a tripod in the church balcony, and a friend of my brother's (college age) used my father's new video camera. Technology was a bit different in 1988, though. :rotfl:

Since DS doesn't really have many relatives I have found that he is fascinated by photos of DH's parents, pictures of DH & me when we were little, etc. I don't really LIKE to be photographed, but I can see how DS would like to have the pictures when he grows up.

I love browsing through old photos.

Look at this picture taken by a friend of mine

And this one too, aren't they gorgeous?!

Those are both gorgeous!

I don't know. Len just replied that they rode the buses an average of 80 times out of every resort. He did say they saw instances of 2 buses for the same park back to back, and instances of 48 minutes between buses, so it does happen. He suggested we rent a car for the SSR portion, but he went on to say that from SSR the bus is better (or no worse) to MK and AK. The other days we're at SSR we're going to Epcot. People are saying there isn't an issue with buses to Epcot. They show up two and three in a row!

You guys think I am bad with hotel discounts and ADRs? OMG, if I get started on rental cars there will be no end to it! It is SOOOO confusing! :faint: I think I am going to wait and see how the buses are, which was my original plan!

I hated pricing rental cars!

Thats how I feel..I can't watch my wedding video as I start bawling when I see my uncle in it giving me away.:(

I don't remember if ours was front loading, but I brought liquid Dreft and used it on all our laundry. I want to say they provided us with a small box of powdered Tide though. :confused3

We drive to Green Bay tomorrow night and fly to Disney on Friday morning. We should be landing by noon. Hopefully, we'll be at the resort by 1pm.
:yay: :yay: :yay:

Damit! everytime I walk out the stinking door, something bites me. :furious:
Well let your DH back in the house then!:lmao:

Yay for 4000!!!

Wow, this is my whopping 7th post in Chapter 8. I'm doing way too much posting inside my head! :teeth:

I don't know how she had the time for this, but my dreary day was brightened by a SUPER woman named Glynis!

Wonderful!!!

The girls room is done, I just have to paint the doors & they can move back in! I still need curtains & bedspreads but that can wait til the weekend. I went to IKEA & got them a desk & swivel chair for their crafts & homework to put in their room. Hopefully they wont fight over it as there isn't room for 2 desks.

Off to take Daniel to Friendly's for his birthday dinner!

Vicki, for front loading machines you will need detergent marked "HE" or low sudsing.

There are front loading washers at DVC? Is this in the 1 and 2 Bedrooms or in the resorts laundry rooms? (If they are front loading then I've been getting the wrong samples! :faint: )

the 2 we had at AKV were top loaders...

the 2 we had at BWV were top loaders

the 1 we had at VWL was a top loader...

I heard there were some front loaders...but not sure where they are

I don't know, Vicki. I've never done laundry while on vacation. Sorry I'm no help. Have a wonderful trip!

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I have to do at 7 tonight. I've never done one before, and have just gotten everything hooked up. It works, so I just hope it doesn't crash beforehand.

Good afternoon DDA!

Tia glad you had a nice weekend!

Jennifer love the photos!

Chanon nice invitations, but I think you need to return them. They have the wrong names on them

Deb sorry to hear Nick is still not feeling well

Vicki hope you get all your packing done, 2 more days :yay:

Anne Marie :woohoo: for finishing the girls room, you are quick!

Amy the blankets are cute! How are you feeling & when is your due date?

Physically or emotionally?!! :teeth:

I'm hanging in there. It's "only" supposed to be 90 tomorrow. :faint:

My doctors are going to let me be induced a week early again, but we haven't scheduled the specific date yet...I'm hoping for July 3rd (my due date is the 11th). :thumbsup2

Thanks for asking. :goodvibes
