Nope. It's not on my site. I'll dig it out and post it. It's one of the first recipes I learned how to make on my own, and it's been a family favorite ever since then.

Stay tuned and I'll post it.

By the way, whenever you decide to do your tour of states, let me know and I'll cook for you while you're here!

I am hoping (if gas prices aren't too outrageous) to use some of my vacation time (unless I have a new job) this summer to camp up your way. That's a lot of maybe's but better than no way jose's:rotfl:

DS just called. They got their TAKS results today. He got "commended performance" on the math section, which typically means one incorrect answer, and he got a perfect score on the reading section. I swear, the boy has never met a standardized test he can't ace, but the classroom seems to boggle him. :rotfl:

That means he will be in honors math again next year. That could get scary.

He brought his social studies project home today, which means his grade should be up when I get home. That could also be scary.

I noticed yesterday that he had some zeros in his computer class that brought his grade WAY down, so I need to look at that again tonight, too.

Are we SURE the school year isn't over yet?
10 more days to go. 6 classroom days, 4 exam days. Maybe I can survive.

We're heading out to Hunter's concert soon. This could be challenging with the headache I have :headache: I even took a nap when the boys came home today as they watched Colby for me. I have been so tired the last couple of weeks. I hope this passes soon.

I'm glad that he tested well. I wish my kids would catch onto the great test scores

Hi, Robyn! :) High school is a long way off for Emma. You might move, they might build a new high school, her high school could improve, you never know! No telling where our high school will fall in 2 years when DS is ready to go there.

I have been looking at our "budget" for the August trip. Basically that means determining how much money we need of each format. Gift cards, cash, Travelers checks, Disney Rewards card, and money in the bank account to pay the pet sitter and the fee for 17 days of airport parking. I decided to put some money in travelers checks because I don't know exactly how much we need, and I don't want to carry a lot of cash. If I load all the money on Disney gift cards then it's stuck there, but with travelers checks I can deposit any leftovers when we come home. And our bank doesn't charge a fee for them, which is even better! I used to get them at the AAA office, but they don't offer them anymore. The bank is closer than AAA, so all the better for me!

Elizabeth - when are your dates again? 17 days is a LONG time to have to pay for parking at the airport. If I can swing it (and you think we can get everything in my SUV - Chevy Trailblazer) - I'd be happy to act as your airport chaueffer!

WTG, DS! You guys have almost made it! :yay:

We're heading out to Hunter's concert soon. This could be challenging with the headache I have :headache: I even took a nap when the boys came home today as they watched Colby for me. I have been so tired the last couple of weeks. I hope this passes soon.

I hope the concert is enjoyable, Deb, and that the headache passes soon. :wizard:

That's the truth! I'll take a maybe any day! Let us know and we can scout out some cool camping places for you.

I was wondering the same thing. We already have to borrow from next year for our March trip. We have enough points for a October or December trip but that is it. We may just have to buy more points! :lmao: We haven't been DVC members for even a year and I already have Addonitis.

Oh, I understand that! The people who warned us all before becoming members weren't joking when they said it often strikes before you're even in the system! I think it's pretty good we're going on almost 2 years and haven't added any! :rotfl: Just wait though... I think we'll have to add on at both the CR and Hawaii in the next couple years! :thumbsup2

Oh, trust me - this is the first of this phenomenon (and I'm sure the last!).

We had promised 55 pts. each (enough for 5 weeknights in an SSR studio during the value season) for Jonathan's brothers as a Xmas gift last year. Since one of his brother's and his family weren't able to make the trip with us last Dec. due to financial reasons, we canceled their ressie before the 30-day mark, and had the points banked into our '08 UY (we have Oct.) for them to use this Dec. Well, they told us a couple of months ago that they weren't going to be able to use those points this year, either.

We initially thought we'd keep our regular cash reservations for Dec. that we already had "as is" and just use those pts. for a DVC stay sometime next spring. But, we're likely going to use those points in Dec. for AKV (plus borrowing a few from '09), and just do AKL CL another time. The cost for those nights is equal to the balance due on our Labor Day Wonder cruise, and Jonathan wants to cancel one or the other to save some $$ (why he all of a sudden cares about vacation costs is beyond me). I'd much rather "give up" 4 days CL level (and still get to go - just staying in a studio instead!) than give up a separate cruise!

It will be nice in '09 when we do finally get use of our points back, although we'll have to be wary of J's brother coming calling for those points whenever they're ready. (I almost felt like they were fishing for us to help them out further financially so they could go :headache: but we're not taking that bait! They made that bed - not my problem that they now have to lie in it! :scared: )

I completely understand!

There was a teacher at my high school that I would have liked very much to have an inappropriate relationship with! ;) But he was married and apparently that was working out pretty well for him so he didn't find it necessary to go after any students. He wasn't one of my teachers - he was the intern for the teacher I was an assistant for. Talk about an elective that was an easy "A"! All I did was enter grades into the computer now and then. :confused3

:rotfl:

Elizabeth - when are your dates again? 17 days is a LONG time to have to pay for parking at the airport. If I can swing it (and you think we can get everything in my SUV - Chevy Trailblazer) - I'd be happy to act as your airport chaueffer!

How nice of you to offer this! :goodvibes

Well, I make this post from the hospital! :sad2: The good news is, my cervix is actually holding up, or at least holding steady. Still closed, which is great (and surprising to us all!). The bad news for the day was that Baby A's fluid went from "low normal" to just "low"... and pretty low at that. The current plan is a lot of fluids overnight (1L bolus just completed, and is beeping incessantly in my ear, plus 150/hr all night), then repeat the scan at the peri's office (connected to the hospital) tomorrow morning. If the level went up, then I'll go home tomorrow and we'll recheck it again at the end of the week. If it stays up, we're back on track to have BPP's and appointments every week until further notice. If it doesn't go up, or doesn't stay up, then they will consider steroid boosters and a fairly quick delivery. We'll see! I know this isn't a very nice birthday present for Kyle. Instead of the nice dinner and fun evening we had planned, we sat around at the office all afternoon, didn't eat for hours, then had Wendy's in the hospital room -- and not a good room at that, a triage room since I'm just short stay at this point. It might be a long night... 2 heartbeats and a monitor in my right ear, and IV pump in my left, a nurse that comes in continuously because Baby A is so low the monitor won't pick her up at all the second she moves any...... but hopefully it's just one night!

:wizard: that it is just an overnight stay!! I don't know that Kyle wants to share his birthday with the Princesses!!

You are in my prayers. Please take it easy, and try to relax.

For a while it looked like our twins would be born on Alan's birthday (March 18), but we were able to keep them contained until the 21. Alan was pretty disappointed. He told me that if I had had the twins on his birthday, I would never have to get him another present! Oh well.

Well they aren't coming today, we can just about count on it! My body is doing a decent job of keeping them in :) .... and if they have to come out becuase they aren't doing their job, it will be at least 48-72 hours from tomorrow to get steroids on board. We're thinking it will just be fluids and I'll be back in my bed tomorrow night. :goodvibes

I thought I'd bore you all with some of Molly's 4 year and Lucy's 9 month pictures. Don't tell anyone but Lucy was really 10 months.

Oh my good golly!! Those are two of the most precious kiddos I have ever seen!!:lovestruc :lovestruc

Hi, Robyn! :) High school is a long way off for Emma. You might move, they might build a new high school, her high school could improve, you never know! No telling where our high school will fall in 2 years when DS is ready to go there.

Oh, I was just surprised to see so many schools from our county on there. They are not surprisingly in the more affluent neighborhoods. I hope beyond all hope we are out of this house by the time Emma is in high school.

Thats hilarious!:rotfl: We had a few teacher who had inappropriate relations with students, they always seemed to fly under the radar though. My band director even married one of his students. Although in his defense they are only about 5 years apart. He met her his first year teaching and she was senior. They are still together and he is retiring the end of this year.

I noticed yesterday that he had some zeros in his computer class that brought his grade WAY down, so I need to look at that again tonight, too.

Are we SURE the school year isn't over yet?
10 more days to go. 6 classroom days, 4 exam days. Maybe I can survive.

Congrats on the fabulous test scores!:cool1: :cool1:

I'll think you'll both survive :goodvibes

We're heading out to Hunter's concert soon. This could be challenging with the headache I have :headache: I even took a nap when the boys came home today as they watched Colby for me. I have been so tired the last couple of weeks. I hope this passes soon.

I hope the headache subsides so you can enjoy the concert.

:wizard: :wizard: that the extra fluids "do the trick" and you can return home. :wizard: :wizard:

and Jim was the exact opposite reaction....MEN!!:rotfl:

WTG, DS! You guys have almost made it! :yay:

That's very sweet of you to offer, but we have to be at DFW at 4:30 AM on August 1. :scared: I can't remember now if I priced a shuttle for the whole trip or if I just priced it when I thought DH was only coming for half of the days. I should look at that again.
