TDS is having tee's (kids & adults) $5 (not sure when it ends though) so I went in to get the kids some more tee shirts. When I was there another CM said something to me about just getting back & not going for awhile..I said I go back in 100 days..she was just like "ok you're nuts!"

I am trying to see if Katie has midterms in January because if she does then we definately can't go. It just would work out well since Dana will be there on business so his air is covered. We have 2 free rt tickets on AA & the park tickets are covered (AP's run out in April 09) So all I would have to worry about is 2 plane tickets, the room & the food. I knew I should have homeschooled my kids!!

My friend asked me yesterday when we're going back after August. She was floored that I didn't have an answer!
I really have no clue. And since we won't have anything that is still valid after August (except a DDE card) our next trip is going to be very pricey! I might be able to combine miles from 2 of our accounts and get one ticket, but that will be about it! And we'll have to pay to transfer the miles so the ticket won't be free!

Thanks, right now it's all talk. I have to see how much $ we have to do it...but it would just work our great if it happens. I would love to try the CR for that trip because it will be cold & the pool will not be a facor. Their pool looks boring but we have all wanted to try the CR someday. In my dream, I would like tower room magic kingdom view....

Well, I just tried my hand at decoupage on some journals that I was planning on using as gifts. It's the first time I've done this, and I can't decide whether they look good enough to give or not. The paper and stickers were nice and flat before I put the top coat of Modge Podge on, and then it bubbled some. I'm more critical of my own work than other people are, so maybe they are good enough. They certainly don't look professional, but the thought was there.

Anyone have any Modge Podge hints for the future...if I ever convince myself to try this again?

Grrrr. DH is a bonehead.

DS said one of his friends might NOT be going to Six Flags. OK. So then DH had a chat with him about what will happen if none of his friends end up going. Obviously going to Six Flags by yourself would be pretty dull! I was thinking we had almost talked him out of going.
So DH says if none of DS's friends are going, DH will go and keep him company! No, no, no! I do not want to shell out over $100 for the 2 of them to go to Six Flags when we are leaving for Disney in 12 weeks!

DS just called (he is on his way to the orthodontist to get his retainers) and now his really GOOD friend says he might NOT be going, either. DS only knows ONE kid who has actually turned in his money & permission slip, and that kid isn't really a good friend, he is just a kid DS has some classes with. So I'm thinking DS won't want to go, but he pops out with "But Dad said he'll come along to keep me company!"

The deadline to turn the money in is Monday. I guess I need to call or e-mail the moms of the 2 kids who "might" go and try to get a straight answer from them so I will know if I should send the permission slip back with DS on Monday.

Tammi - Do you have St. Bernard Sports near you? It's a ski shop. I just found those North Face shorts for $5! They only had one pair in a Large, but I bought them. Maybe DS can wear them to college.
I also bought 2 pairs of pants (size Large) with the "zip off" legs for $10 each. Without the legs they are basically the same as the shorts! The girl was so sweet - she called the other 2 TX locations for me to see if she could find any others and have them shipped, but neither store had them.
That shop has lots of cool clothes for kids, but their regular prices are pretty high so I don't go in there very often.

No we don't. I've never even heard of it. I'm glad you got some good deals.

That's pretty much what I remember as well. It used to be dessert but they changed it shortly before our DDA trip in December 2006 from what I have read.

We watched them set up for one in May 2004. It was definitely gorgeous pastries and other little dessert then. I wonder if too much was being wasted by excited kids or if it was just overall cost cutting.

We aren't renewing them because chances are we won't go back until next summer, so it seems silly to buy them in Aug. 2008 and have them sitting unused for 11 months. We'll buy new ones when we go in 2009, and hopefully get a 2010 out of the same passes, which is what we did with the passes we have now. We did last August, last December, and this August all on one pass.
This year we had to go in August because I was out of vacation time until the end of June, and I don't want to battle the Brazilians in July. It just worked out REALLY well that my bosses are going to France so we get that second week at WDW while the APs are still valid. Next year will depend on DH's bid (of course ). And his bid depends partly on if he stays a specialist or gets a route of his own, blah blah blah. The nice thing is I don't really have my eye on a particular time to travel for next year, so I won't be freaking out over his bid.
