Sounds like great ideas for the teacher appreciation. I think our elementary school decided to celebrate in June.

Thanks! I think it went all right. It seems that one person has been speaking for herself, not the whole board. I also think that she is more tactless than mean-spirited. I'm still going to work three days/week next year.

:wizard: I hope that it all gets done!

:rotfl: I was thinking the same thing!

pixiedust: for AP rates for you!

Definitely ditto! (Except that I know what a Brazilian is). :rotfl:

Your trip sounds so fun!

glad to hear it went well

My swimsuits are cut very modestly, so waxing isn't really necessary.
After I had DS I decided to give myself a trim (like the day I came home from the hospital) and I have never itched like that before or since! :scared: BAD idea! :scared:
Shaving is good for me, thanks. ;)

Beth, I hope the job works out OK for you next year!

Lindsay, we really need to send our DHs on a camera play date one of these days. :rotfl2:

Deb, I hope you can get your plans squared away with your dad! DH said diesel is like $4.40 a gallon here (he has to put fuel in his work truck - luckily he has a fleet card to pay for it!), and prices are supposed to keep going up so I can see how staying at Pop would be cheaper for your brother!

I agree....I think the hair is afraid to grow back in :rotfl2:

TMI -- FEEL FREE TO SKIP
3 weeks, since I do bikini, brow and lip. The bikini line can go longer - 4 -5 weeks, but not the brow and lip. My skin is too sensitive to shave (bikini), so waxing it is for me! It actually hurts less if you go regularly, as the number of hairs lessens over time.

I told you it was TMI! :upsidedow

Can't wait to see pics, Lindsay!

Hello everyone!:goodvibes

Wow! Not a good day for me to try to get caught back up!

.......which reminds me, I need to trim the bushes out front!;)

Have a great day!:upsidedow

Welcome home Lindsay! :wave2:

Hey Elizabeth, guess what I'm doing?!! Baking another cake! Apparently bringing dessert is my niche for the monthly neighborhood ladies' get-together. I'm on the verge of being caked-out! :rotfl:

Jen, I'll be sure to tell Kevin that you had no "issues" with his clever peek-a-boo signature. He was pouting a bit last night. :teeth:

Alyssa and I are master hamburger chefs, but I can't throw a newspaper worth a darn!

Tia, where are the pictures of the new car?!! :)

I liked it but it was jumpy for me too...it was cool though! Does he have the capability of making it fade to the next picture? ;)
Sorry, Tom! :rotfl2:

Amy, MMMMM! Cake! :yay: I think "caked out" is one of those things like "too many clothes". NO SUCH THING! ;)
Elizabeth - Janet was wondering what the % discount is on the AP rates....you wouldn't happen to know would you? :rolleyes1

Chanon - No, because the rate spans 2 seasons so there isn't a singular answer.
I will say the rate for Courtyard view at WL is $179, and rack for that room is $275, value season. So that's dang near $100 off per night. The rates per night that people are posting are good, but the rates are only out through the night of 8/2 which doesn't help Janet. I have no idea what to expect for the rates 8/3 forward. I was caught completely off guard this morning - I was expecting the rates to come out Monday!

i guess Tom wast reading :lmao: . i have a question for people who have cruised non Disney cruises. i know taboo. do they also do the door decorations? 9 weeks till i get dega;) i applied for a daycare job and didn't get it because of me having a service dog. Monday i got to meet a puppy in training. i was  heres a picture. his name is trotter and he is a golden retriever. photobucket is being a pain. go to www.ksdsteamkaren.blogspot.com and they are there. GRRRRRRRRRR

Cute pup, Karen! I hope you are able to find a job soon! Your puppy will be home with you before you know it, so that's something to look forward to! :)

The orthodontist's office called and said DS's retainer isn't back from the lab so he can't come in to get it tomorrow. They switched him to Friday, so hopefully DH can get him picked up and to the office by 1:30.

Princess is going to be harder to potty train than I thought. :headache: I am not going to push her since she is going to her grandparents for 2 weeks as soon as school gets out. When she gets back we are going to go cold turkey without the diapers and I bet she will learn FAST! ;) She wet herself 3 times in 20 minutes just now. She refuses to sit still on the potty - she arches her back and kicks her feet and won't sit still, so of course she doesn't manage to go on the potty. As soon as she gets off the potty and has a diaper back on she goes. She is taking her diaper off in the middle of the night and wetting all over the bed. She is perfectly capable of staying dry for a few hours, she is dry after nap, she can tell me when her diaper is wet, she has ALL of the hallmarks of readiness, she is just stubborn. :headache:

Hmm. A couple of things:
I wouldn't say "No experience necessary". If an inexperienced person is interested they will contact you, but by saying it you my end up attracting people who are not only inexperienced but not qualified. I would require references, and say you will check background. Even if you DON'T check background you want to attract applicants who don't care if you check. I wouldn't list the salary, either. I would say "salary negotiable" or "salary commensurate with experience". If somebody good will take $10 per hour and be cool with not getting a raise then you need to keep that avenue open. Good luck!

thanks elizabeth. really i dont care if they have experience or not because even if they do we still teach them what to do. i do ask for resume and refrences when i set up interviews unless they sent me their resume then i just ask for refrences.

i feel in love with trotter. he is only 15 weeks old and loveable. still has those puppy teeth that hurt. i was missing shocker when he was under the table because he kept hitting my feet like shocker did when she would roll from side to side. it is passing faster now that may is here and we are remodeling. my mind is off of is it july yet.

I know you don't care if they have experience, I just wouldn't say that in the ad. You can say "Will train the right person" or something along those lines, but I wouldn't say "No experience necessary". I think you will draw a higher caliber of applicant if you don't say they don't have to have experience.

I'm glad you have some distractions to help you pass the time! :)

Tia, where are the pictures of the new car?!! :)

None today as it is raining like mad. Maybe tomorrow, but definitely later this week! I drove it around for the first time today and it drives sooooo nicely! Loving the 4-doors to get Terra buckles as opposed to leaning in the 2-door. It's actually a 1996 so even newer. Just have to remember where a few things are that Volvo decides to put in odd places - locks, clock... I am one very happy camper!
