Marci - Thunderstorms, huh? Yuck!
Congrats on your weight loss! :thumbsup2 I keep playng peek-a-boo with the same 4 pounds. Maybe one of these days I will actually start exercising.
I did read that the type of cancer my mom has is more common to have in both breasts, so I guess her oncologist will determine what to do about that. I will call my Dr. this morning and see what she has to say about it. I don't think this type is hereditary so she may not be too worried about my risk. :confused3

Morning...

I hope no one has flights on ATA...I saw on the news that they are bankrupt and canceled all flights and sent all their workers home!!

Finally getting a sunny day here....:)

Good morning, DDA!

Elin - Thanks for the early morning tears. I'm so thankful for each and every one of you. :goodvibes:

Elizabeth - Sounds like lots of good info. The medication name sounds familiar to me too. I think that is what my grandma took and it was very successful for her. Like your mom she took it pre-op and they ended up just doing a lumpectomy. Continued thoughts and prayers always. :grouphug:

Marci - Congrats on the loss! You're doing great. I've started packing Terra's lunchbox whenever we're out for awhile so that we both have healthy snacks. The granola bar, fruit, cheese sticks etc help eliminate more than a few drive through stops for a snack. I also used to keep several bottles of water in my trunk so that it was always available too. Of course, in the height of CA summers it wasn't always the coolest, but it wasn't bad either. ;)

Tammi - Alyssa will love the show! And dressing up too, she'll be in heaven, won't she. :cloud9: I would love to see Hairspray on stage.

Finally getting a sunny day here....:)

Wish we were! Rain again today, sunny tomorrow, rain the next day, sun the next, rain the next.... Seems that way anyway. At this rate though I may never have to mow as part of the yard is a lake with several tributaries flowing through and to it.

Well, we've got MOPS today and Terra is still dressed in yesterday's clothes, plus I'm babysitting today so I guess I'd better get people ready to leave. Catch you all later!

This made me cry...:sad1:

me too

sounds like it is a hopeful diagnosis Elizabeth. My favorite co-worker and the girls piano teacher is 5 years out from a more aggresive form of cancer. She runs a cancer support group...and always says the treatment your mom is being recommended is so much better than what she had to go through.

My volunteer going through face cancer is looking fabulous!! and it looks like the cancer has finally gone into remission.

Perseverance is my prayer for your family this week.

:scared1: Is this Airtran???

Nevermind. I see that it is different. Whew!

Hi! :wave2:

Elizabeth, I'm glad you were able to have a follow-up conversation with your mom. Please let us know if there's anything you need...we're pretty good listeners. ;)

My mind is mushier than ever. Today is Alyssa's birthday, and this morning, we celebrated with some friends at our community center's open gym program. Now she's at school, and I get to go in in about an hour and read a book to her class. :goodvibes Later tonight, we'll celebrate just the four of us. The Fancy Nancy party is on Saturday afternoon and the family April birthday celebration is Sunday.

My hands and nails are slightly pink from goofing around with the Wilton dye yesterday. :rotfl: I still have a lot more frosting to do, but I'm proud of myself for doing all the baking last weekend.

I hope everyone is having a decent Thursday. :grouphug:

Amy :)

Tia, that is good to know!

Theresa - Thanks for your prayers! :goodvibes I hope your volunteer continues to do well!

Amy - Just keep eating cake. It restores brain function, you know. ;)
Happy Birthday, Alyssa!!

I printed our boarding passes this morning. A Group! DS is worried that it will be a full flight and we'll have to sit with a STRANGER. I told him I will sit by the stranger if necessary. There is no way we could possibly fly him as an unaccompanied minor. He would come completely unglued.

I need to give Princess some lunch and get her down for a nap!

HAVE A FANCY BIRTHDAY
ALYSSA

Elin - That is Fancy Nancy. :goodvibes

Chanon - Is F&WF a problem?

Bernadette - There is at least one person reporting that their TA told them free dining will be released to Visa cardholders on Monday with a start date of 8/30. You may get your wish!! :rotfl:

Kristine - I e-mailed AKL IPO about the Coral Reef diver. We'll see what they say. Did you say your birthday cake was from Boardwalk Bakery? I wonder if they will deliver to Flying Fish?
