Good morning. I've been up since 4 a.m. :headache: I can't even blame anyone in my household for waking me up, but I did watch a General Hospital marathon. 5 episodes in 2 hours...gotta love the DVR. :teeth:

I don't even know where this past week went.

Let's see, besides the same old, same old (errands, ballet, open gym, school, etc.):
*We had very mild temperatures, so we played outside a lot.
*Both kids got haircuts.
*I took my glucose tolerance test (fingers crossed that I passed).
*I actually baked more cupcakes for the neighborhood ladies' night out.
*I monitored Julie's condition. She was hospitalized for 24 hours, but she was released, now seeing the doctor every day. She's hit 35 weeks, so that's good!
*We went to a wedding last night. A very sweet, young couple, but way too many former students in attendance, most who weren't my favorites. ;)

Our temperatures have plummeted about 20 degrees for the weekend. :(

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead! :goodvibes

Robyn, have fun baking! Can't wait to see pictures! Happy (almost) birthday to Molly! party:

Elin, this is just creepy!

But it had two teeth! :rotfl:

Annex G is NOT the list you want your store to be on!
I agree it is wonderful to have Stephanie posting!

All the stores around us are on that Annex G, I believe. :sad2:

La Nouba is amazing! DH nixed going back this year, but we will definitely go again in the future!... It is an AP discount, usually 25%, offered sporadically.

With all the high recommendations we will have to look into going, but I will watch for the AP discount to pop up too!

I told DS to change the channel or he would be sent to bed immediately. He was trying to tell me he couldn't find the remote.

:rotfl2:

Mmmmm. Cake! :)

 you really need to learn to bake this item, I think, Elizabeth!

DH wants to go to DL. And so do the Uncles. I think I need to get through this summer first, and see what goes on with my mother before I plan for DL next year.

You really do need to tyr to plan for this. It is such a different way of Disney vacationing!

Good morning, DDA!

Nothing exciting going on here. DS has to make an appearance at the band car wash, he has a haircut later today, and I am babysitting tonight.

Good morning!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

:goodvibes I'm going to finish loading my kitchen today!:woohoo: :woohoo: That is number one with a bullet. I only have two more cabinets to clean out, wash their liners, wash the contents and reload! Two. I must finish.:)

Then it is on to my bedroom. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Have great days DDA.:yay: :yay: :yay:

Elin, Lindsay and anyone else who has attended Party of the Senses....

Would you go if you didn't drink? Is there a possiblity, even a slim one, of not getting a seat?

The reason I ask is that the friend I am going with in October, there is no possible way she could stand during the party. None. She doesn't drink, not even a glass of wine. I think we should nix the idea of this party and just go to signature resturants and snack our way around the world.

But I also don't want to miss an opportunity to have her attend an event that would wow her. She so needs this vacation. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Well, I'm going to attempt the drive home. The weather advisories and warnings are supposed to be lifted by 2pm today. I'm hoping that I'll miss the bad roads. If it gets too bad, I'll stop somewhere for the night.

hi everyone-
What a good day! after work, we had girls night--we got take out, had some drinks, played the Wii and watched Law & order on tv..so here i am! I may ahve to stay up and watch the travel channel at 1!!

Sounds like a fun night!

Elin, this is just creepy!

Mmmmm. Cake! :)

I never see anything close to us on those shows! Yesterday there was a place in Snook, TX (no clue where that is) where they serve battered, deep fried BACON! Ick!

It was a little scary!

A 3 layer cake with Strawberry butter cream icing and cupcakes to boot! Mmmm!

That bacon does seem :scared:

Well that's good! I hope your table survives! ;)

::yes:: It sounds like it will do quite nicely!

Lucy keeps rubbing her tongue over the teeth and making this funny face. I so hope I can catch it on the camera.

I will be "pinked" out before this weekend is over. :happytv:

Good morning everyone!

Gotta get ready for a soccer game this morning.

Have a great day!

Hope soccer goes well!!

Sounds like a busy week. More cupcakes :faint: Glad to hear the news on Julie. :yay: for 35 weeks. Was the wedding couple former students as well?

Having fun and baking do not go hand in hand in this house;) I used to love it, but now I forget that I put stuff in the oven half the time!

Good morning :)

Morning Janet!

Good morning, DDA!

Nothing exciting going on here. DS has to make an appearance at the band car wash, he has a haircut later today, and I am babysitting tonight.

I used to have so much fun at the band car washes! Ahh, the good 'ole days!

Good morning!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Can I hire you to clean my kitchen?

Well, I'm going to attempt the drive home. The weather advisories and warnings are supposed to be lifted by 2pm today. I'm hoping that I'll miss the bad roads. If it gets too bad, I'll stop somewhere for the night.

Drive safely.

This is only my opinion... Lindsay or others may disagree. When we went to the Party for the Senses (and the cost was under $100) the first couple of years, Kristin was not old enough to drink. She loved it. However, with the cost having gone up so drastically, I would have to think twice about going if I were not going to drink. It is an amazing thing to experience, but for the amount of money you would spend at an evening there you could eat almost anything you wanted at your favorite restaurant in WDW and have plenty left over.

Lindsay, Kathrin, Kristin and I did not have seats last year. Made for very tired footsies!

I would not go if I had the same constraints you have with your friend, Stephanie. I would pick out extraordinary signature restaurants instead.

This is actually a follow-up to my reply to Stephanie...

Bob and I are not doing the Party for the Senses this year. We feel that although I would certainly get my money's worth from the experience, Bob would in no way make out well. He is not a particularly adventurous eater and dislikes wine. The beer offerings (other than the Utopias) are not spectacular enough to offset the lack of food that he would enjoy.

Now, if we were fortunate to be there the weekend that Sam Adams did its beer dinner, that would be a different matter! ;)

You're supposed to do this????

:wizard: for a safe drive.

So where are you in the job negotiations?

I'm waiting to hear from her again. I got back with her to confirm my interest and there was one other lady she was talking too, also from the church. This woman has been a nanny before and, I would guess, doesn't have a 5yo that comes in the package. So, she may have the advantage and that's okay. I should hear from her in the next day or two. I know that they were going to be doing some work for the new house this weekend so it may be Monday.

We were able to get the game in before the rain started. So far his team is 0-1-3. Great defense, sucky offense.

I had planned on power washing my deck and spraying weed killer stuff on the lawn, but now with the rain I have to put those plans on hold. The kids are with their dad now and Bob has taken my van to put new rear brakes on it.

Oh wait, the sun is trying to come back out. That might mean I do have to work.

according to the radar it looks like you've got some time! ;)
