Vicki - on the DVC website there is an order form for food. They get it from the grocery at the resort that you are staying at. No service charge and it's delivered to your room.

I checked that out but it is quite expensive to start and doesn't have a very good selection of items. There are some things that we would like that they don't carry so figure the delivery fee will be worth it.

Thanks for asking. He is still coughing but not nearly as badly. He was congested last night too. I kept him home again today just to be sure he's taking it easy. But with the weather we had today he spent most of the day outside. It was 75 here and the kids were having a blast. I've gotten some stuff done around the house too. I took the valances/curtains off of 8 windows and the sliding glass door and washed and rehung them. Then I scrubbed the tile around my soaker tub. The powder from my makeup seems to attract to the grout. Now it is all sparkly white again.

Is Sophie on the mend?
That's good he got some fresh air in him today. Hope he is 100% tomorrow.

Yes thanks, Sophie's fever seems to have broke..she is hovering around 99.9 -100.1 so not bad (with no tylenol) I think she will go to school tomorrow. I hope so, I need a day to clothes shop for our trip. I have some dresses but I would rather go with a nice top & dress pants.

Riley's baseball practice starts April 1st. The coach wants to have practice 4-5 nights a week
 Baseball has started here for about 2 weeks now but Daniel only practices 2-3 times a week.

OOOHhhhh Thats cute. Is that only for visa carholders?

Ok. The only thing we've ordered were basic breakfast items like cereal, milk, oj. We rarely need anything in the room with all the food we get on the ddp.

Yes. I just got an email from Disney Visa. They have added a few more designs for the cards. So I called and got myself the Where Dreams Come True one. The one I have is just the basic red.

I found the perfect t-shirt design for Chris.
That is great!

Those of you that use a grocery delivery, which do you use and why? We are going to get some breakfast and snack items for sure. We have my sister convinced to eat out at least once a day and it will probably be counter service because her kids are picky eaters.
I had good luck with Garden Grocer as did my 2 friends that used them. The delivery fee is free if you spend $200. I think I probably will in August with water and a few cold cuts, snacks, fruit, breakfast foods and sunscreen.

We normally wouldn't need more than what they provide either. However, my niece & nephew are basic eaters - chicken & steak. Oh and nachos! :lmao: We plan on eating breakfast in the room most days. We will do CRT one morning and I'm thinking maybe Cape May for another morning.

Yikes! Too much! How is he supposed to keep up with his homework?

Yep. Already own it. :) And yes, it is for Disney Visa cardholders. The blue circle isn't part of the pin. I didn't realize that until it came in the mail.

OK.
My mother just called. The surgeon she saw today is certain it is cancer. They did a biopsy, and they told her if it comes back negative they will do it again becasue they are convinced it is cancer. There is a 3 cm tumor.
She sees the oncologist next Wednesday. The surgeon she saw today said they will probably do a round of chemo first to try to shrink the tumor, then she will have a mastectomy.
I told her I will fly up for her surgery. She wants to put it off until school is out. I told her she will NOT put it off.
I don't know what else to say right now. I am so worried that she has let it go for too long.

I'm so sorry Elizabeth. Prayers and pixiedust: for your mom, sisters, you & your family! You keep on her about getting it done right away!

Yes, please!

Here you go!

Strawberry Daiquiri Cake

Cake:
1 package of Supermoist White Cake Mix
3/4-cup water
1 package (0.14 oz) of strawberry Kool-aid mix (powder)
1 tablespoon grated lime peel
3/4-teaspoon rum extract (optional)
1 10 oz carton of frozen sliced strawberries thawed and undrained.
3 eggs

Lime Frosting:
1 tub vanilla frosting (I like the pour able kind best)
2 teaspoons grated lime peel

1. Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom of 13x9 inch pan or line cupcake pan with liners. (Will make 24 cupcakes)
2. In large bowl beat all cake ingredients with electric mixer on low for 30 seconds, then beat on medium speed for an additional 2 minutes scraping the bowl occasionally.
3. For cake cook 30-35 minutes. For cupcakes cook 18-25 minutes. Both are done when toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes before icing
4. Mix remaining 2 tablespoons of lime peel into icing and stir. It helps to heat the icing for about 20 seconds in the microwave first, and makes it easier to poor or spoon onto the cake.
5. Top with fresh, sliced strawberries.

Note: I put strawberries on the pieces I serve so the left over ones don't go bad. I also keep leftovers of this cake in the fridge, it keeps a lot better.

I'm so sorry Elizabeth. What is her reasoning for wanting to wait until school is out? Because of your sister? The advancement of medicine today is amazing. A co-workers mother went through this....chemo, radiation, etc. and she is doing really well now. At the beginning they thought it was too far gone and didn't give her long to live. It's now been a few years.

Wow! Want to come do my Spring cleaning?;)

I agree with Vicki on all points and will add my prayers and hugs.
