DDA Chapter 5

I had a wonderful time with my niece and nephew this week-end. I'm looking forward to our Disney trip even more than I was (if that is possible). We played horse (basketball shooting contest). We watched Enchanted because I bought it for them. They chose 20 Disney pins each for trading. Of course, many of them they want to keep. I gave them their autograph books, autograph pens, and rain ponchos to put in their fanny packs. I gave them some Disney mugs (we had 12 POR mugs) to use while they are waiting for our Disney trip. We played tickle monster and did a lot of cuddling.
Sounds like it's shaping up to be a most wonderful trip.

Could you guys put the power of the DDA to work for my coworker Anne Marie? She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is 41. She, another coworker & I were all due the same week when I was pregnant with Lizzy. We all had girls. So her DD is nearly 9 and she has an 11 year old DS. She has just been diagnosed with colon cancer.:sad2: She is still consulting with surgeons. They have told her it isn't stage 4 but they aren't sure how bad it is yet.

Thanks for your prayers. Her poor parents. Anne Marie has a 2 year old neice with brain cancer-she is doing well right now.

I have read everything but am just in a foul mood, too much going on and just not enough time to process it all thus feeling overwhelmed a tad. If I have forgotten anything major I apologize.'s and :wizard: to all!
:grouphug: I'm sorry you're in a foul mood. Hopefully a good night's sleep will make you feel better in the morning.

I wasn't up for making Emma an autograph book for our trip. I was going to just buy her a Disney one. Walmart photo now makes notebooks. I ordered her one with a great photo of her and Tigger. On the front I put "Some of Emma's best friends are REAL characters". It will have 200 blank pages. It was $8.96 and I picked in store pick up so shipping was free. They also do lined pages that would make a nice journal or wedding planners, baby books, birthday reminders, and daily planners. I'll you all how the quality is.

Bernadette prayers for your friend

Vicki sounds like you had wonderful time with your niece & nephew!

Jen I see you have a new ticker :cool1:

So I couldn't say it better than what I posted on my blog, so I'll copy it here for you -- and then give you the a photo or two you've been whining for, although I refuse to succumb to the traditional, boring (IMO), posed "belly shot". ;)

ETA: That didn't make any sense to me. The entry is here if you want to see them.

Ok, I'm really bummed, now! You so don't look pregnant enough for twins. At your point in my twin pregnancy, I looked like a beached whale! Not kidding!!! I was measuring so huge, my doctor got a kick out of inviting all the other doctor's in her practice to come measure me for themselves! I may just have to scan the last pictures of my twin belly so you can compare!

You look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

I don't like the splatter from the broiler either - but someone mentioned that oil plus butter helps when searing a steak in the pan get that char'd look too.

I hate cooking steaks. I can never get "pink" compared to "well" compared to "grey" that they all seem like they turn out to be. I hate eating "grey" steaks too - you know those that never look like they were cooked? If he had only asked for meatloaf! Stupid birthday dinner.

I hope it went well! :)

I just gassed up at 3.16 a gallon. Do you remember the good old days when we ONLY had to pay 2.50?;)

Ah heck, I remember when gas was 50 cents a gallon.

I remember when I was a little girl that I could do one of three things with 35 cents:

1. Go to the movies
2. Buy a loaf of bread
3. Buy a gallon of gasoline

Which one has gone up in price the most???? :rolleyes1

Tell Kristin congrats from me! Portia is really impressive! Wish I could see it!

Thanks, Glynis! I will. I am hoping to be able to see it too. Depends on when they put it on and for how long. They are doing it as part of a Shakespeare Festival so they don't have a lot of input on the scheduling.
