Jen, you have my sympathies. If anything, hopefully this experience gives you the push you need to make the break. Call if you want to vent!

Lots of :grouphug: for all the funks, too. Hopefully spring will be here soon to help lift everyone's spirits!

It really will! I'm actually in a really decent mood about it. I think it's one of those cases where you reach that "last straw" and just have a peace about the decision so the obstacles in the way are just par for the course. I have come to expect nothing less, and now I can very easily say to them (without making anything personal) -- 'Look - I was taking PTO and still had to come in to work. I knew this before, but now I hope it is obvious to everyone that there is no "cutting back" or negotiations in this situation . I have no choice except to go on leave, where legally I CANNOT do anything for you or put my name on anything.'

It sounds almost ridiculous to me that I literally have to "cut them off", but I knew it was what it was going to take. I had already made the decision to tell them May 2 was the last day (leave paperwork is submitted and everything)... this just takes away any shred of guilt, discomfort, insecurity, etc I might have had about it! :goodvibes

I'd love to call you soon, Amy... tonight though, I'm done talking about this (that is, until Eric calls me at 9 after he gets out of class). :rotfl:

Here is how my menu is shaping up for the cookout. Any further ideas?

burgers/dogs
baked beans
cold linguini salad
coleslaw
chips
veggie tray
deviled eggs
cake

I feel like it's not enough. Should I add anything?

I think it sounds perfect, especially with fruit! :goodvibes

Sounds good to me, what time should we all arrive :teeth:

Does anyone know where I can find candy fruit slices?

I thought our Kroger used to sell candy in bulk, but no more. They're not pre-packaged at Target either. :confused3

Thanks, in advance! :)

I've seen them pre-packaged at Walmart (at least super walmarts -- hey, the one by you!), I think... I don't know about the variety (or lack thereof), though.

ETA: There are lots available online, depending on a) how much you need an b) how soon you need it.

Hi guys--im running around like crazy trying to book a trip :)
but just wanted to let you all know im okay and ill check in tomorrow!

My nephew has even said he'll dress as Prince Charming for the CRT breakfast. Now, I have to find two costumes. He is 10 so I was quite surprised. He was actually telling me what we would need to make the costume.

DS and I watched the Charlie Brown Easter video. Now he is off doing something in his room. DH is supposed to be sleeping but he is watching "The 10 Commandments". He watches it every year. I think his mom used to watch it so he has some sort of sentimental attachment to the movie.

The Ten Commandments is one of my sentimental childhood memories. My mom would cook dinner and we would eat off tv trays in the den while we watched the movie. I do have to admit that the Angel of Death scared me to death!!!! My dad explained that the angel was going to kill all the firstborn! When I first watched the movie, I was about 5 years old, and I thought he meant that it was coming to our house! I was scared spitless! My father was firstborn, my mother was firstborn, my sister was firstborn, and I was going to be left all alone with my 2 baby brothers!!!

We watched it this year, too! I really wish that the network would split it between 2 nights. We started watching at 7:00 and it didn't end until 11:30 p.m.! At least it gave me something to watch while stuffing baskets! Alan doesn't do that kind of thing!

Well that's fabulous, because we're headed there tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Thanks (even if you don't want to talk to me ;) )!

How cute! At least he's excited about it :goodvibes

Do you have a grocery store that has a Kosher section? You should be able to find them there as they are a big treat for Passover. I don't know if the Kosher for Passover items are out yet but they might be.

so cool!! these kiddos are going to have so much fun.:goodvibes

Thank you Aunt Vicki for helping make some wonderful memories. :lovestruc

I had a wonderful time with my niece and nephew this week-end. I'm looking forward to our Disney trip even more than I was (if that is possible). We played horse (basketball shooting contest). We watched Enchanted because I bought it for them. They chose 20 Disney pins each for trading. Of course, many of them they want to keep. I gave them their autograph books, autograph pens, and rain ponchos to put in their fanny packs. I gave them some Disney mugs (we had 12 POR mugs) to use while they are waiting for our Disney trip. We played tickle monster and did a lot of cuddling.

I don't know, Bernadette. :confused3 Is it because the MNSSHP dates were confirmed before PPP? Remember (I think I am right on this) that the MVMCP dates had already been confirmed. So nothing seems to be coming out in order of appearance. ;)
I was reading over on the Theme Park board that attendance hasn't been too good at the P&PP so they might not have them in August.

I have been up with my Sophie since 4am. She said she had to throw up & is running a fever. Shes so squishy when she sick. I feel bad for her.
:wizard: Poor Sophie. Hope she's feeing better soon!

Getting up early this morning was very hard! Not only because of the sinus infection, but also because I'm out of habit of getting up before 5 now. The antibiotics are beginning to work, so that's good. It will be an incredibly long day, though, so I'll be dragging by the time I get in tonight at 7 or so. Well, I best go -- I have a huge pile of things on my desk to go through before the first of my staff get in.
Hope your day wasn't too bad and you continue to improve!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We all can certainly use them now!
I don't have any advice but wish you luck in dealing with your cousin!:wizard:

Yesterday was hellish around here.
:scared1: WOW-so much going on all at once. :wizard: Goodluck getting it all done!

She tried out and made the top band at her school.
Congrats to Cassidy!:woohoo: Loved your photos!

We are back from the doctor. Nicholas has a sinus infection so he is on a round of Augmentin, as well as OTC cough medicine.
Poor Nicholas! Hope the drugs kick in quick for him.:wizard:

He's 36 today.
Happy Birthday Bob!

For those of you with APs who have booked since they started the thing where different nights within a ressie can have different prices:

Can some of the nights be on an AP rate and some be rack rate on a single ressie, or do you have to split them up? My one ressie is Aug. 1-4 at rack rate, but they usually release AP rates through Aug. 2 in one batch, then do Aug. 3 - September or whatever in the next round. Can I have 4 nights, 2 discounted and 2 rack rate on the same ressie? :confused3
My next ressie is Aug. 4-10. What if I can get an AP rate Aug. 4, 7, and 9 but not the others? How will that work?

Anybody know?
Sorry-don't know-I've been lucky enough to get all days at AP rate since they made the change to daily rates.

Gary is repainting our bathroom today
How nice!

DS has survived his first band competition.
Congrats to DS!

So much for vacation! An auditor walked into work, so they've been calling and emailing me all day, and I might have to go in tomorrow.
YUCK!!!!!

Sounds like lots of food!

Jennifer- I am so sorry that you have to deal with the "crap" from work while on vacation.

Anne Marie- :wizard: for Sophie.

Theresa- :cool1: Congrats to Cassidy!

Glynis- Glad to see you back.

Janet- for avoiding having to help paint!

Elizabeth- :yay: for DS's first band competition! I loved those in MS/HS
Tammi- Your menu sounds delish!!

I have read everything but am just in a foul mood, too much going on and just not enough time to process it all thus feeling overwhelmed a tad. If I have forgotten anything major I apologize.'s and :wizard: to all!
