I lurk on the CB and I post if it isn't going to result in raging flames. (Mostly the CB folks ignore me, which is fine.) I saw that thread, and I actually read through most of it!I am still not quite sure what to make of it!
I am thinking if people dig food out of the trash they have some sort of compulsion that is kin to an eating disorder.I can honestly say I have never thrown ANYTHING in the trash and then gotten it back out to eat it later.
Gross!
When I first became a nanny the other girls said I would get heavy from eating the food the kids left on their plates. I never eat the leftovers from the kids plates! Not even DS's plate! If I was going to have a bad habit I think I would pick up that one before I progressed to digging food out of the trash!
I am actually very weird about my food - the foods on the plate can't touch and all that sort of thing. I just don't see pulling food out of the trash being an option for me, even without the Windex.![]()
So I haven't been sewing but I have been working on some other things recently.

Deb, BK and Rees both just did nighttime potty training this summer. I bought the Malem Ultimate potty alarm, and they were trained in less than 2 weeks with NO accidents since then. I sold them on ebay and made back all but $30! The work great. The problem with waking kids, is they still don't learn to wake on their own to a full bladde signal. This device wakes them immediately, and even Rees did great with it.

I guess I should go to bed. I'm feeling lousy againand I have an 8am dentist appointment in the morning.
So we went to get DS and as I am sitting there in the carpool my phone rings. The lady identifies herself as being from the school, but she isn't one of DS's teachers. So I start to panic.I am thinking he is either injured or ill, but at least I am RIGHT THERE.
Then she proceeds to tell me he is one of the Science Fair winners so we need to make sure to attend the ceremony tomorrow night!![]()

Glynis, the sweet and savory ribs were a hit (though Kevin did comment they could be a little sweeter...nothing is ever sweet enough for him, not even me). Matthew gobbled them up, and even Alyssa cleaned her plate, though she had to be bribed with our long-awaited ice cream trip.

For anyone who flies United.....have you seen this?
CHICAGO - United Airlines will begin charging passengers $25 to check in a second piece of luggage for domestic travel if they are not part of its most-frequent-flier programs, the airline said Monday.
The charge will generate more than $100 million in revenue and cost savings each year, UAL Corp. said. The change takes effect May 5 and applies to tickets purchased on or after Monday.
Travelers would have to log at least 25,000 miles in a year on United to ensure they can check their second bag for free.
I prefer my food not to touch but am getting better as the years go by. I have even been known to order the mashed potato bowl at KFC.
I don't eat off my kids plates either. Yuck! I will share with Chuck. I really didn't like sharing a glass with them though when they were little, I got used to that.
This reminds me of a story my SIL tells. She and her husband adopted a set of 3 siblings from Vladivostok, Russia about 10 years ago. They flew to Russia to pick the kids up, and as they were on the plane to come back to the US, the stewardess handed out bags of potato chips and cans of soda. None of the kids had ever tasted either chips or soda before, so this was a real treat for them. Nikolai ate several chips and then took long drinks out of his can. He was so tickled with the treat, he held the can out to my SIL so she could take a taste. She didn't know what to do: take the can and risk the backwash just to show her new son that she loved him, or to refuse. Well, she risked the backwash, and the look on Nick's face made it all worthwhile for her!
Way to go Elizabeth's DS!So we went to get DS and as I am sitting there in the carpool my phone rings. The lady identifies herself as being from the school, but she isn't one of DS's teachers. So I start to panic.I am thinking he is either injured or ill, but at least I am RIGHT THERE.

Everybody went to bed early while I am once again waiting to make sure a load of is well on it's way to drying before heading to la la land.
Nope I am not in bed. I was working on a homework assignment. I would like to complete two more before I head to work tomorrow but I am not sure if it will happen or not. I need to get them done because I work late Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, early on Wednesday and all day Saturday.
I received two more things for my taxes today, so I think I have almost collected everything I need to complete my taxes. I can think of one more thing I am waiting on but I am pretty sure I have received everything else. So I would like to do them soon.
Have a great night everyone.
I just booked the Palo Brunch for Dana & I!![]()
