I did open the one for Chris and I. She gave us a check for $100. There was a little note that said she knows we aren't doing gifts this year, but she couldn't buy for the other grandchildren and not give the boys something. That means that they each have checks too  She wants nothing to do with us all year then pulls this sh t now:headache:

wish their was a Christmas movie on tonight that I have not already seen this year

I'm just glad you're still hanging in there. Prayers for long sticking babies!!!

The contractions are definitely getting stronger when I have them. They pretty much will not try to stop labor now. They would try IV hydration but no meds at this point.

Deb, I am sorry! I don't know your entire situation, so I don't really know her motive. I think in a lot of cases, though, it's a form of power play. Try to look at it as objectively and lovingly as you can before making a decision on what to do.

Hello, DDA! I am exhausted! I have a lot of wrapping to try to get done once the kids go to bed, though.

It did go well today, Jen. Thanks!

Everything is done and I need to go to bed. MERRY CHRSITMAS, everyone!!

I am hoping for the new years day as I think that would be a cool birth date.

Or you could go for separate birthdays with one on Dec. 31, and the other on Jan. 1. Very cool! Different years, too!

Merry Christmas, Elin!!! Have a wonderful trip! You guys so deserve this!!!

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and support. I never know what to do with her :confused3

Beth I hope you can get everything done and get some rest. Hitting the holidays exhausted is never good for anyone :wizard:

NO NO NO!!!!!!!! That has been my fear ever since finding out its twins is that they would be born on different days. I do not want that. I especially do not want different years. Do you hear that little ones in my tummy. same day.

I got all the presents finally wrapped today. Including the ones I had to rewrap. thanks to a certain 3 yr old and a certain DH who did not move them from where I had wrapped them like he was asked. They are now out of her sight and reach.

Laura has been saying that is what she wants for years. I told her that the odds are against her. She would be so excited if I "knew" someone with twins born on Dec 31 and Jan 1.

Glad to hear you're still hanging on. 1/1/11 would be a cool birthday! You don't want 12/31/10 for a double tax deduction?-sorry the accountant in me can't help but think of that. I was hoping Joe would be 1/1/01 but he was 1/10. I was thinking Emma would be cool to 1/2/03 but she would have been a bit too early-she is 1/21.

Everything is done and I need to go to bed. MERRY CHRSITMAS, everyone!!
I'm sure you'll have a magical trip!!!:santa:

I made 7 more tea wallets last night. 4 for work gifts and 3 for teacher gifts. I have 8 more started. I need to finish some up for teachers tomorrow and I need one for my sister and one for my niece. I aslo made a couple of receipt wallets. Those were quick and easy and cute. I need to make myself one. http://www.skiptomylou.org/2010/02/16/oilcloth-receipt-wallet/

I have tomorrow off. I may try to get an appointment to get my hair cut and may try to get DH another gift-a new flag and a new flag pole. Then he can use our existing flag pole for the flags I bought him a few years ago-a Lithuanian flag and an Irish flag. He never uses them because he doesn't want to undo his American flag from the pole. I'll have to see if he has a Scotish flag also. There is a flag shop in our little town so hopefully it would be an easy shopping trip to make. Joe's class has a party that parents are invited to so DH & I will likely go to that too. I have to figure out if parents are invited to Emma's.

Then with the kids Christmas Eve maybe I can make cookies. They would love that.

OH and at some point I have to get some groceries for Christmas dinner. My sister in law sent us a smoked ham from this great place so I just need to get some sides and dessert.

I used to think the same, but now that my twins are older, they ask for separate birthdays. I think, at times, they just want to be thought of as individuals, not as a group project.

did you use oil cloth for the receipt wallet?

did you use oil cloth for the receipt wallet?

Yes. I had some left over from the bags I made for the same coworkers who drove me after my August surgery. I got it at JoAnn's. I tried to buy some other prints Saturday but they only had stuff that was polyester not the nice cotton stuff I got before. I'm hoping they bring it back in the spring.

It was super easy to work with. The tutorial says to use a teflon sewing foot which I do have but I didn't need it. The bias binding was the hardest part-I hate that stuff.

The oil cloth is nice because you don't need to finish the edges as it doesn't unravel. If you made it out of anything esle I guess you could put bias binding around the edges or add a seam allowance so you could have a finished seam on it.

I cut them out last night but didn't sew them until this morning. I made 2 in about 15 minutes.

I need to make one for myself!!!

I was hoping to make a few luggage tags too- http://www.skiptomylou.org/2009/11/09/fabric-luggage-tags/ but those will have to wait as I'm just up for those right now. I did buy some freeze paper to try to make printable fabric. I'll have to make some of these for the 2 friends going to Disney with me in May.
