Jennifer - I am glad you got your new phone. Mine came today too, and it is possessed! the home screen keeps sliding back and forth to the other screens available. I am sure I set something up wrong, but it is driving me crazy! :rotfl:

Good morning. :)

Three day weekend for me, but it's going to be crazy busy. Alyssa has dress rehearsal tonight for Nutcracker, from 5:30-8. Tomorrow morning we have a pancake breakfast at school chorus concert that Nicholas sings in, Nutcracker shows at 2 and 7:30, and again at 2 on Sunday. Whew!

Tia-congrats on the Build a Bear!

Glynis-were the toffee cookie easy? Can you share the recipe?

Deb-yeah for staying in control....my kids nearly ran out of clean clothes (that they want to wear) this week.....

Tammi-belated birthday wishes to Nicholas! Sounds like he had a very nice birthday. Good luck to Alyssa.

Jennifer-glad to hear you & the twins are hanging on! Did the doctor say if you could go see Santa with a wheelchair?

I found this idea on the internet. its a camera strap cover. ai have some Disney scrub tops that we will no longer be allowed to wear come Jan 1st that I can use for material. what do you think for a present for Jeff. http://www.instructables.com/id/camera-strap-cover-with-pockets/
Why can't you wear Disney scrubs? Will any prints be allowed?

I find those multi page instructables a bit frustrating-here's a difference version all on one page:

I found a TON of tutorials last night and spent most of the day looking at them today. I found a ton here: http://sew4home.com/ and a ton more here: http://www.sewmamasew.com/ The sewmama site had a holiday guide with a ton of links and then I would go look at some of those tutorials and look at a ton of stuff on all those links too....I don't think I'll have much chance to actually make too much this year. I was hoping maybe starting next week I could make it down the stairs but sewing generally means lots of ironing and cutting out fabric so I probably shouldn't be standing for long periods trying to do much/any of that.

I made my friend who drove me to the hospital a tea wallet:
http://blog.christyscreations.com/tea-wallet-tutorial/
It was cute and very easy. I hope to make a few more before Christmas.

I found this tutorial today and would like to try this:

I was thinking of this too but I may just make a couple for my friends that I'm going to Disney with in May:

I thought this might be good for my new nephew:

I thought this was super cute:

And this might be something I could do in bed:

Maybe I'll go look at the past years guides on sewmama....

I just hope the scrub top is enough material.

I think it should be. Just stitch some strips together to get the length you need and double stitch them for added strength.

no print scrubs only solid navy blue and yes we can go see santa

That is sad about the scrubs. As a patient I would complain-why do they want to make it look so institutional? I like to see the prints on the hospital staff.

Yeah for Santa!

I'm only on the send date of 2009. You check on link that looks interesting and then the site that has that tutorial will have another 100 or so....

they say the patients like it better if its one color. nurses are navy, clinical assistants are wine, each other department has a specific color.

Colby and I are watching November Christmas that we taped on the Hallmark channel. It is sad and reminds me of Hunter being sick last year. I'm just waiting for the Happy Ending.

My Mickey Wall Mirror came yesterday. It took me an hour, but I finally got it hung on the wall in the kitchen. It looks great. I think I need a couple of wall sconces now :rolleyes1 They seem to be out of them at the Disney Store so I guess I'll have to wait a while.

Chris is working late agin. He's been working a lot of Friday nights and Saturdays which is helping with bills :goodvibes

I'm a bit bummed I had bought a nice maternity top to wear for a family Christmas pic. That pic is not going to happen now with me on bed rest and limited funds.

How do your coworkers feel about that?

Ooh, I love this. I wonder if I have the patience to make a couple of these for my mom and aunt lola. They are both big tea drinkers.
It went really quick-you can do it! I made it Thanksgiving night-just before surgery the next morning. It went really fast. I didn't use a fabric pen to mark the center-I just folded it half after I had turned it right side out-and sewed along the fold line-then I didn't have to remove any markings. I hope to make about 4 or 6 more. I have one already cut out and lots of cute scraps to make more.

ETA:OH...and I also don't make a fabric strap for the button-I use an elastic pony tail holder as a button loop.

:hug:I watched it a few days ago. I'm watching A Walk in My Shoes.

That stinks. Can you get someone to take a photo of you guys at your house?
