we just payed $1875 for fixing our family Mini van.. and then bought two tires on top but we had tread left on the previous tires so with discounts those two were only $104 but .. like you we have not put any money into it in a very long time and we have had it for over 10 years. who knows maybe 10 years from now I will still have it

Stings doesn't it! My invoice has a line item of "Touon's special discount -$50.00" so the total after tax is $925. I really like this one technician there and he's really treated me right which is nice since I almost changed service centers after the manager change. The old manager was always very honest, made notes to apply expired coupons whenever I came back for previously recommended service, etc. The new one is nice enough, just doesn't go out of his way to help out and doesn't have the same aura of trustworthiness that the last one did. This technician has gone out of his way to help me out on a couple of occassions now and went way above and beyond trying to get my car ready to test for emissions a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I have to wait until Tuesday for the part, but luckily the labor is fairly quick so we'll only be without the car for that day.

oo oo what underwater cameras? I cant decide if I want to spend the $$$ and get a digital non throw away add another camera to the household or get disposables.. what did you get? and I know you just got them but do you like?

as for the mechanic.. I dont know what to tell ya.. these guys were really good and one of the parts they replaced was defective and they replaced it again right away.. and really in true honesty they were not too bad.. for everything we had done..

Tammi & Deb thanks for the bed insights.

I have my 6 week follow up appointment today, I'm afraid it won't be my last, as the pain is still there and I don't have full use of my arm yet, it's not so bad that unless I showed you what I can't do you would not notice. He said I would never regain full use of the arm so I may be where I'm going to stay.

My BIL's father passed away yesterday, he lost a long battle with lung cancer, so we may have services to attend this weekend.

Sorry for your BIL's loss. Hope the doctor gave you hope for more range of motion!

We are leaving in a couple of hours for my dad's house. I'll be back on Tuesday evening. I'm hoping to be able to check in while I'm down there, so I don't fall too far behind!

Bernadette - We have an Intelligel mattress. It's a local company here in Utah. It's the best bed we've ever had! I hope it never wears out!

Guess I should shop for a new bed in Utah.

Bernadette - I have no idea what our mattresses are. I know that Bob and I need a new one, but that will have to wait until fall. I tell you what... you be the guinea pig and try them all out and then let me know which one I should buy!

I'm ready to give up again! I don't want to be fooled like we were on the last mattress purchase. I'm leaning toward buying a less "elaborate"/cheaper mattress but I really don't know what to do. It gets so confusing! They all feel so much better than what we have at home and they all start to feel the same.

Just dropped my car off for a potential $1000 repair. I tried to find ways around it, but there's just not another choice right now. The technician that I really like was at the desk when I came in and he is going to see what he can do about the price. At the very least I knows there's a $50 service coupon he can put on. He was going to check and see about finding the parts a little cheaper as well. At least this is the first major repair on a car we didn't pay anything for to begin with. Makes it a lot more tolerable though just a three digit price in the end would go over a lot better than four digits even if it is in the 900s.

Today we clean! My aunt and family plus my uncles friends and his two boys are staying with us this weekend for their annual baseball trip. My uncle and his friend pick some different city to see a ballgame in each year and decided to come here this year. I thought that we had most of tomorrow to get ready as well, but now our family will be here around 3am so I guess not. Luckily, it's nothing hard left to be done, but lots of little stuff - bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, pool vacuuming, etc.

I think we need need tires on our AWD mini van. They are run flats and those are not cheap.

Cool!!! My new Panasonic arrived today. I'm charging the battery. Don't think I'll get to play with it too much tonight. It has a short manual that shows you how to put in the battery and other very simple stuff but the manual is a PDF file. I bit of a hassle.

That was almost Olivia's middle name.

I think you could reuse a middle name.

I like Grace. How about Rose or Mae? Emma was going to be Eleanor Mae until I feared someone would try calling Ellie Mae. I liked Mae because both Lizzy & I are born in May. Then she was going to be Eleanor Rose or James Galbraith(DH's middle name) if she was a boy. When we found out she was a girl DH wanted to keep Galbraith but I didn't think Eleanor Galbraith would work so she became Emma. Then the Friend's baby was named Emma and now Emma always has several Emma's in her class.

Try Tire Tread Service on Princess Anne Street. If Chris and Gerry and their staff can't help you they will send you to someone who can and is trustworthy. Tell them Mrs. H sent you!

No teaching until July 12th! Lots of work to do but the school is closed for the next week. Because Monday is a holiday and people won't sign their kids up for classes beginning that day we just decided to take the week off.

I purchased a bundle of 4 Fuji disposable cameras for our upcoming cruise. We have a lot of water tours on the islands planned and since they were only $38, including shipping, I ordered them. I would have loved to have gotten a digital waterproof camera, but $250 just wasn't in the budget right now.

Thanks! I should really have the timing belt replaced and whatever else goes along with 175,000 mile work. I'd like it to last at least another 3 years!

Tonight is Nicholas and Alyssa's theatrical debut! They have been working hard learning all of their lines, songs, dances and moves. I've very impressed with this theater group and how they've worked with the kids. It's amazing what they've learned about a production in just 4 days!
