Morning!
Today is going to be a good day! My brother, uncle, and I are going to the Phillies game. I bought Joe tickets for his birthday. should be fun!

Good morning, DDA!!!

We had a great time at The Muny last night. I got to spend a little time with Paula and Ellie before the show. It was so nice to talk to her in person! She's just so sweet. Even better, I figured out that she lives a lot closer to me than I thought. She's just a little out of the city on the Illinois side. We're hoping to get together sometimes and take the kids to the zoo, Science Center, etc. I'm so excited!

Paula's got a couple of pictures of us on her camera. She said she'd try to stop in soon and post them. If she can't, but does get them on FB I'll post them here as well. I'm pretty sure I picked out Ellie a time or two on stage, though I can't be for certain as this was the show with The Muny Kids in it and there were probably close to 50 of them in a couple of scenes and their costumes were identical and had a hat.

Hate to post and run, but we're headed out to the local parade today and need to leave soon. Guess I'd better go wake my daughter!

Morning, everyone. Oops, I guess it's afternoon, now.

Yesterday was a fun day! I got to spend the entire day with Alan, without kids! Katie babysat, and I went to work with Alan. He only had to work about 3 hours, so after that, we drove to Park City to the outlet stores. I needed new workout shoes for an exercise program Alan and I are doing through his work, so we picked up some Nikes.

After that, we went home, picked up the kids and drove to the nearest drive-in movies to see Toy Story 3. We all loved it! I didn't cry, as a lot of others have, but I did think it was very bittersweet! I'm sure if my kids were a bit older, and leaving me, I would have bawled like a baby! Once that movie was over, we waited to see what the next show would be. You pay for one movie, and have the option of staying for 2. The late show was Prince of Persia. Alan really wanted to stay for it, so we made up beds in the van for the littlest kids, tucked Timothy into his stroller, and settled in for another movie. It was really good! A lot of action, and some nice eye candy, too! It ended at about 1:30 this morning, and we had a 45 minute drive home. Needless to say, we were exhausted when we got home.

We are just taking it easy today. Cleaning around the house and yard, and not moving more than we have to. It's wicked hot!

Elin - Sorry your baby bird is leaving! Glad it's not too far away!

Jennifer - How fun to see the babies! I loved my twin pregnancy since I got to see the baby's a lot more than with a normal pregnancy. Don't worry, the right names will come!

Tia - How fun to meet up with Ellie and Paula! I'm glad you had a good time!

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning!
Looks like a low key day here today--going to get most of my stuff packed then hopefully neaded to the pool--its going to be a hot one again!

Good morning, DDA!

Terra and I are off to camp in just a little bit. It's supposed to be hot, which I could do without, but at least we're at the camp without a lot of hills to climb. From the sounds of the sample schedule they sent we'll be plenty busy. Hopefully busy enough to sleep well tonight, but either way I'll be home to A/C and either my bed or comfey-er chair tomorrow.

In less happier news, Erin is actually starting the induction process this morning. When she got home last night she was spotting and passing some clots. They sent her to the hospital just in case and they decided to admit her. Apparently, it was a possibility that they would have sent her home to just wait for Monday. Luckily, they didn't and they started the first dose this morning. I guess they do up to 4 doses a day and if that's not enough to get her ready then they will wait until tomorrow and do up to 4 more then, etc. Prayers that the medicine works quickly for her would be greatly appreciated. I can't imagine anything tougher right now than having to just sit in the hospital for a long time just waiting. I'll post an update when I get back tomorrow. Brendan and/or Kristi are going to keep me updated via text while we're gone.

Lenore - I'm so glad your puppy is doing better. I hope the vision is full restored.

Jen - Enjoy your day. Happy packing!

Glynis - Sounds like a fun day!

Oh YAY! Now they've added 80% chance of thunderstorms for this afternoon about an hour after we get to camp. Too bad Terra only owns one pair of shoes. Though it is only one day and she intentionally walks through puddles and soaks her own shoes quite regularly so maybe she won't care. On the plus side, the rain is supposed to knock the overnight temps down to 72. If it can take the humidity with it too, then we'll be great.

Tia - Have fun and stay dry!

Lenore - I am glad your pup has some vision!

Jen - happy packing ;)

Alyssa was in tears tonight because she misses a little boy from her class that she has become good friends with. She said she can't stop thinking about him and all the fun they had together. I'm so not ready for this!!! What do I do?????? :scared:

I think you need to arrange some play dates. Remember that they are just friends at this age and the boy/girl thing isn't a big deal to them.

We just got home from the races. We watched the Nationwide race yesterday and the Sprint cup today. There were tons of activities outside the raceway that we did. Lots of freebees. Chris did a couple of contests and won us 2 fanviews for the weekend. He did a strongman competition and played a plinko game. It ended up being a very affordable weekend as we split the campsite 3 ways, had free race tickets, cooked our own food won the use of the raceviews. All in all a great weekend.
