Kids left to go with their dad, now I'M going out with the girls!
Have fun!!
Kids left to go with their dad, now I'M going out with the girls!
Those are mild compared to some of the "dark" parts of the movie. My kids seemed to have taken that better than I did. Joe asked me yesterday if I had ever seen a movie in the theater more than once and then asked if we could go see it again while at Disney.I'm not sure yet when I'll get to see it. Terra claims not to want to go with me. She really doesn't like the parts in the commercials with the screaming kids, toys in mouth and lots of drool. I just can't get her past the fact that it's probably only a small piece and she can close her eyes/ears. Rachel may want to go with me, but if not I might try to go in the morning. Either way, hopefully soon!
So tragic. It's been a rough week, but I'm feeling pretty good this morning, (could be the Lortab hasn't worn off yet though)
I'm having what he calls "referred pain" in my arm and the swelling has yet to go down, because of my diabetes he is against giving me steriods to reduce it so I'm trying to be "patient" which isn't one of my strong points.
Right now I have to get ready to attend a memorial service for a co workers sister, 46 is way to young to die. She got an infection in her lungs that spread through her blood system and attacked all of her organs, after four weeks in ICU, most of which she was on a ventilator her 20 year old son had to make the decision to shut off life support.![]()
I still haven't decided. Maybe I need to see it again. We saw Toy Story 3 today. I wanted to LOVE it but I just didn't. It was cute & I love the characters but I didn't like it as much as 1 & 2.![]()
So I've been playing with future dates all evening. It dawned on me the other day that 2 new babies in the family this year throws a big wrench in my "taking the cousins to WDW" plans. It seems like quite a difference going from 5 kids to 7 kids. Now I've just got to figure out when the best age is to try again.
If we go mid-2013 then the two babies will both be almost 3yo. Plus side is that they would both still be free and we could still get by with two rooms since #9 and 10 would be under 3. The downside, obviously, is whether I'd want to have two 3yos. I watched Kaylin today (and just the same age I'm considering) and thought, that wouldn't be so bad. But then, there would be two of them, plus 5, 6, 8, 10, 11. (Oh man do I sound CRAZY!!!!) Waiting another year would make them about 3 1/2 plus the others 6, 7, 9, 11, 12. Either way, Terra and Kassie are into adult prices (and I'm making myself feel old already with that thought!) so we're higher there. The little ones would be about Chase currently and I think 2 her age would be manageable (though, of course, still moderately crazy).
Of course, there's plenty of time to figure all of this out! Really, I don't think I'd have to make too much of a decision until closer to our trip next Nov. Then, the only reason would be to decide between regular tickets and APs. If we were planning a cousins trip in 2013, we'd probably skip anything in 2012, but if not then we might do APs in 2011 and go again in 2012. Man, why do I always make this so complicated!Mostly, though, I think I was watching a few too many YouTube trip videos tonight and got excited again about the cousins trip that I really want to make happen!!
Today's highlights: blown electrical circuit, no internet, flower screw up as they didn't save the roses I ordered, half the decorations had to be rehung before the dance, credit card number stolen so card wouldn't work at gas station. Due to other suspicious charges which were not ours. Card now cancelled. Will get replcements next week. I hope our reward points get moved quickly as we're counting on them for our trip.
Thhhe dance was a huge success though. One plus in an otherwise horrible day

Planning is good! I never had too many issues with the kids being 2 or 3-of course I had 3 kids and 3 adults (sort of
).
The only "problem" I really had was when Emma was almost 1. She wasn't walking yet. She would get a bit overwhelmed by it all in the parks and ended up napping a lot more than usual in the stroller so she didn't sleep well at all. And she wasn't eating well-too much going on around her and got very constipated-after that I made sure to feed her fruit/veggies before anything else and that worked.
You've made me realize this trip will be Joe's last trip as a "child".![]()
